Actress Melanie Lynskey embraces her actor husband Jimmi Simpson at the premiere of her new critically-acclaimed movie, Up In The Air, held at Mann Village Theatre on Monday night (November 30) in Westwood, Calif.

The 32-year-old New Zealand actress wore a stunning Donna Karan dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Irit bangles and Neil Lane earrings. Gorgeous!

In the movie, Melanie plays George Clooney’s sister. She also recently starred as Matt Damon’s wife in The Informant and has a recurring role on the hit series Two and a Half Men.

Avril Lavigne gets help from big brother Matthew at a photo shoot in Los Angeles on Monday (November 30).

The 25-year-old rocker invited Matthew to the shoot, and he kept close to her during the day, even keeping track of her while she unzipped her pants to tuck them into her waist to make sure she didn’t show off too much skin.

After her split from husband Deryck Whibley earlier this year, Avril has been spotted out and about with pals, including close friend Wilmer Valderrama.

Avril is currently working on a new album, expected out next year!

Jennifer Hudson shows off pictures of her adorable son, David Otunga, Jr., on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Monday (November 30).

The 28-year-old singer and Academy Award winner spoke to Oprah about her plans for Christmas with fiance David and son David Jr.

“I’m going to go crazy,” Jennifer shared. “He’s very aware but he’s so young and it’s his first Christmas, so you have to go all-out.’

“I kind of want to get him his own Santa Claus and just have like a toy store in the house, full of things.”

Later in the show, Jen performed “Silent Night” with country duo Sugarland.

Slumdog Millionaire stars Freida Pinto and Dev Patel walk arm in arm in London’s Notting Hill neighborhood on Tuesday (December 1).

Dev, 19, held hands with Freida, 25, and gave her a sweet kiss on the the forehead as they went into the Charles Worthington salon. The couple also picked up a box and some framed art from a house in the neighborhood.

Telegraph announced yesterday that Slumdog Millionaire was the most popular rented movie in the UK this past year, beating out Wall-E, Burn After Reading and The Dark Knight. The biggest selling DVD of the year was Mamma Mia!

Justin Timberlake makes his way around the Los Angeles set of The Social Network on Wednesday (November 25) sporting a ‘do reminiscent of his days in *NSYNC.

The 28-year-old singer and actor, who sported a National Public Radio shirt, plays Sean Parker, the founding president of Facebook and co-founder of Napster, in the film.

Justin’s girlfriend of two years, Jessica Biel, recently told the Daily Mail that the recent rumors of their breakup have been strange to hear about. “It’s definitely been weird and sort of bizarre to deal with,” Jess said, “but you have to have a sense of humour about the whole thing.”

“Honestly, I look at a magazine and they know more than I do.”

Glee hottie Dianna Agron and co-star Adam Brody take a quick coffee break at Starbucks while filming their new movie, The Romantics, in Long Island, New York on Tuesday (December 1).

Also spotted on set: co-star Josh Duhamel.

Dianna was seen carrying around Kurt Vonnegt’s absurdist classic “Slaughterhouse-Five.” According to Amazon, the book introduces us to Billy Pilgrim, a man who becomes unstuck in time after he is abducted by aliens from the planet Tralfamadore. In a plot-scrambling display of virtuosity, we follow Pilgrim simultaneously through all phases of his life, concentrating on his (and Vonnegut’s) shattering experience as an American prisoner of war who witnesses the firebombing of Dresden.

The 37-year-old actress, who sported galoshes by Hunter and a double-breasted peacoat, recently purchased the house next door to her house with hubby Chris Martin to expand their existing property.

Gwyn headed to Morocco on Thursday, joining Jennifer Aniston, Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom to celebrate the reopening of Marrakesh’s La Mamounia hotel.

“My kids don’t get off from school, so I figured I would take off for a few days,” she told People. “It’s wonderful to be here.”

Ryan Reynolds suits up for IFP’s Gotham Independent Film Awards at New York City’s Cipriani, Wall Street on Monday (November 30).

The 33-year-old actor celebrated the independent filmmaking community and checked out the first honors of the hectic awards season.

Ryan recently spoke to MTV about his role in The Green Lantern and what he hopes audiences will take away from the film.

“I think you walk away from this first film, and the moments that you remember and the moments that mean so much to you, not unlike Iron Man, are the moments where the guy’s not in the suit,” he said.

“That, to me, is the tough thing to get right,” Ryan continued. “And that’s something that [Iron Man] did get right.

“You see why this guy’s in the suit, and that’s what’s interesting to me. Not that he is in the suit, but why.”
