The hero of Thank You For Smoking is Nick Naylor (Aaron Eckhart), chief spokesman for Big Tobacco, who makes his living defending the rights of smokers and cigarette makers in today’s neo-puritanical culture. Confronted by health zealots out to ban tobacco and an opportunistic senator (William H. Macy) who wants to put poison labels on cigarette packs, Nick goes on a PR offensive, spinning away the dangers of cigarettes on TV talk shows and enlisting a Hollywood super-agent (Rob Lowe) to promote smoking in movies. Nick’s newfound notoriety attracts the attention of both tobacco’s head honcho (Robert Duvall) and an investigative reporter for an influential Washington daily (Katie Holmes). Nick says he is just doing what it takes to pay the mortgage, but he begins to think about how his work makes him look in the eyes of his young son Joey (Cameron Bright).
Actors Katie Holmes, 27, and Adam Brody, 26, are part of the young talent in Thank You For Smoking being released nationwide on March 17 ,2006. Above looks like the sex scene between Katie Holmes (Heather Holloway) and Aaron Eckhart that mysteriously disappeared at the Sundance Film Festival. I LOVE me some Adrian Brody. Katie Holmes? Yeah. Not so much.
This movie looks absolutely genius….
I saw TYFS and it’s brilliant. It’s funny, smart and the acting is amazing by everyone involved. Too bad that the media has to beat to death the ‘Katie Holmes Missing Sex Scene’ because Aaron Eckhart is the one who should be receiving the attention for his great performance. FYI, I’ve seen the film twice at two different viewing and the sex scene was included for both and how ridiculous to think that Tom would actually take it out. Plus there’s nothing to see!
Tom doesn’t want anyone to see what he is not getting on a regular basis…he doesn’t want to have to answer the questions about Katie’s body parts. He doesn’t want to perpetrate too many more lies.

Aaron Eckhart’s latest roles are excellent! I like his acting, especially in the “Dark Knight”
