i personally think a person should be proud of being black or white or whatever culture but they should embrace all cultures as well. What law defines that if we have one drop of black heritage than we are black.? that was a law established in a state back than not in the constitution or any other law books. i think everyone should be proud and white people do the same thing. i have come across many white people that say oh my mother is this and my father is that and they embrace both cultures so why can’t black people. i mean of course if you look at the person you wouldnt’ know that they are this or they are that but we are all mixed and if its a parent or a grandparent that is of another culture and we are around that culture than we should embrace it and not feel like we are being a sellout because of that. i love all of who i am and both my parents are biracial and i am proud of who they are and i grew up eating many different foods and i embrace all sides and nobody is going to make me feel like i can’t be proud of that.
