I’m not a lover/hater, but there’s still a feeling of empathy for her I can’t shake. Can’t help it. There’s just something there that makes me feel that life is probably pretty funky for her. I’m one to believe Jolie-Pitt are together, and for the long haul, and that what they’ve found together is as real as it comes. It’s not about her acting, her beauty regiment or her diet that the editors what her on their covers, or presenting at an awards show. They want her in lieu of the story they can’t get. They want her because people desire anything Brad & Angelina, and she’s become "the next best thing to a little bit more than nothing at all".Some people are going to tune in to the Oscars with the sole purpose of seeing how "the jilted one" performs on at the podium, and I can’t help it, I feel for her even if I believe "she brought it on herself". She’s let her PR prostitute her. No one had a gun to her head each time she spoke about the end of her marriage, but why was it anyone’s business to know? Why do people feel the need to aid in getting their personal life out to public? The tide has turned on her, and the public’s sympathy meter has consistantly moved lower and lower, and in many way’s her performance on sunday will be her most important one to date where public opinion is concerned, and I can imagine the pressure she must be under. This will not be a matter of her simply getting up there and presenting. This night just might be the one that get’s her back on the map of public opinion; get that meter raised again, or it may be the night she gets wiped off the map for a nice spell "or until The Breakup" changes things. jpf

Whether or not you believe this to be true or fair, many people see her as whiny and looking for pity. Or they just want her "to go away.’ Even msnbc.com wrote an article about how its cool not to like Aniston. I may not like her but I know that’s she not an idiot. This was her first interview since the split and I’m sure she would love to take it back. If I remember right when they split Brad said that Jen was a great person and he hated the papparazi because they would say terrible things to her so she would get upset and then they could get a picture of her looking sad. Mina, they are, I noticed it after I posted a positive comment about Jennifer Aniston last week and then suddenly, withing 3 minutes, there were three new posts by supposedly different people saying the same thing : sort of rude/ vindictive /petty things. So I wrote back and then again, it happened 3 more comments. I tried a few hours later when the board was quiet and the same thing happened. The boards are being watched and used to distort genuine public opinion. It’s the same with all the Brad / Jolie posts. If anyone says a negative comment, all of a sudden there are three or more positive ones. It became so obvious that there was some sort of organized effort going on to make JA look bad and promote P/J. It used to be 50/50 with Jolie / Pitt but now it seems all the posts are gushingly positive. There must be a small team of people monitoring these boards. After all a LOT of money is riding on the preceived "success" of J/P. I feel there is an organized effort by the PR firm to distort public opinion. After all, it is not too difficult to do. since there is no IP address given with each post. I am glad Jen has a new life, but insulting (as some of the comments above do ) is petty and unfair.

Last comment for a while but still waiting for my car at the service garage. People like "s" are missing the big picture . I think they made a movie from the book, "Animal Husbandry" but we women are taught to not trust each other when it comes to men. You know the expression about all is fair in love and war. We are not just discussing 3 actors we do not really know but we are talking about the elephant in the room full of women that we all fear but do not discuss with each other. Which one of us who has been married has had a friend or neighbor whose husband left for another woman. It hurts deeply but depending on the who it is it hurts more or it hurts less. If Brad had ended up with an older overweight nobody, Jen would be laughing right now. My ex has remarried and I admit that my ego was relieved that she was older and well, she is very nice to my kids and that is what is importan. But it definitely hurts worse if he upgrades rather than downgrades. No woman wants feel like she wasn’t pretty enough etc. It hurts regardless who it is. But what attracted Brad to Angie that was different from Jen is not anything that the eye can see. Angie was at a point in her life where she no longer had to experiment , look etc for what she had been looking with her past actions and relationships. She had learned to distill what she need in life to be happy and yes she was happy. We are all looking for happiness. But happiness is not a goal . It is not "when I retire " or when I have a mansion " or when " I become a moviestar and win an Academy Award>" Happiness comes as a result of doing what you like and relating honestly with other people. Happiness is about being your own person , making your own decisions ,doing what you want because you want to do it , and living your own life to please yourself. It is about being independent , allowing others to be free and seeking the best in yourself and in the world. From my perspective that describes Angelina . But it is easy to do the opposite –to cling to others expecting to be taken care of , to control people and to blame them them when things go wrong, to be insincere and play at relationships and careers rather than commit, to tease rather than respond and to live on the fringe of other’s lives rather than on your own. Such a person has a life without meaning and therefore is unhappy . From my observation that describes Jennifer. It is a cliche but it is true. Those that look for their own happines from within will find it and those who depend on external things or people will not find it. For either you are the savior in your own life or your life is without redemption. We women , specially of a certain age were raised in a society that tells that we are defined by the man in our life and his position and statusI don’t dislike Jen but I have respect for how she has played this. She had the potential of being a role model on how to be not only survive but take advantage of the lessons that are always there to be learned. Instead , she chose the role of a "victim." Whenever I would go to see "Derailed" or "Rumor Has It", usually 2 shows every Friday and Saturday nights– as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoons–I was always the only one in the theater. I went on the front page of this site and for the first time looked at something that wasn’t a picture of Jen. I saw some dark-haired guy who looked a little like Brad except he was carrying a little black girl, and why would Brad be doing that? Also the lookalike was standing near some dark-haired woman who looked pregnant, so I’m sure it’s not Brad because he’s blond and he’s probably at home in California at their $25 million dollar home waiting, like the rest of the world is, to see Jen at the Oscars. I don’t even know what’s nominated except that the pictures don’t have Jen in them…or do they?! I’d better run and check! She may be nominated and I don’t even know it! Or is that next year. That Brad lookalike has me all confused….

chinnifer, are you related to Jen, is that why your name is so similar? I’m just very confused, that picture with the black baby and the Brad lookalike and the dark-haired woman has me very upset. This always happen whenever I look at a photo that isn’t Jen or read anything that isn’t about Jen. I guess I just really don’t understand or know about anything that isn’t Jen. If I could have a job that was all about Jen I would love it so much! I get fired from every job I’ve had because I put Jen all over my computer and write her name on all my papers and talk about her to all my co-workers.
