Brad Pitt Smoking

Paris, France :: Cigarettes don’t do the body good but that didn’t stop Brad from smoking them this past weekend. Smokin’ hot Brad Pitt, 42, took a break from daddy duties for a moment and relaxed by the window sill from his pad in Paris, taking leisurely puffs from his cancer stick.  ¶  You can put those wedding rumors to rest for awhile.   As expected, George Clooney’s villa in Italy received no wedding action this weekend. Brad and Angelina Jolie, 30, didn’t tie the knot at Lake Como but  Clooney, Pitt and Jolie look-alikes did walk the streets near around town however.  More pictures in the gallery!

#124- curious. What does smoking and being in love have to do with the cost of tea in China? The only people who said Brad quit smoking was the tabloids you might not want to believe everything you read

Addictedto BAMZ+1 @ 03/20/2006 at 11:32 pm

Hey, kerchy…I don’t want to think about all of the above–smoking and break-ups and Brad alone–I’d rather think about baby names. Thanks for changing the subect! If a boy, I am hoping for William Bradley Pitt II, what else? If a girl I like Jane Jolie-Pitt, after his mother and Angelina’s character in M&MS. I just don’t know if it can still be "the second" if the baby is a boy and his last name is Jolie-Pitt. Now THIS is a subject worthy of 100 posts, instead of if he is smoking again or not!

The regulars know me as a BAMZ’s fan. In moments of exasperation with my friend who had testicular cancer, I’ve told him to his face, he is a bloody idiot. I think AJ does not have to be ashamed that Brad is smoking but I think Brad needs to be ashamed about this addiction - as should any other smoker. It is nothing to be proud of. No excuses. I understand it is difficult to quit smoking. I still don’t really understand why. Nevertheless, quitting is possible. The evidence that smoking is bad for your is now unambigous. And as I’ve stated in my earlier post, medically, there is absolutely not one single good thing that comes out of smoking one single ***.Yes, there will be people who say, "my grandfather smoked for 60 years and died at the ripe old age of 80 with a *** between his lips". Actually, these people are few and far between. Most smokers succumb to a whole variety of illnesses, cancer being the most well known. However, it also adds to all sorts of chronic conditions including diabetes and high blood pressure leading to strokes, heart attacks, Ok OK, I won’t go on. I just hope that Brad gets back on the wagon.

African Girl …. I just got home from work. I took off last week to be home with the kids so there was a lot of catch up work. Perhap I should answer your question in the forum … I will post in the other thread before I sign out for the evening.Hey, maybe he needed some space. If you have ever been pregnant you can remember how your hormones ran amuck specially towards the end of your pregnancy when you did not feel very good etc. I have a feeling that Brad needs a visit home and ot sit by the lake fishing. After all , you can take the boy out of the coutry but you cannot take the country out of the boy. As far as smoking… A lot of girls today smoke for the same reason Jen and other Hollywood women smoke… it cuts the appetite. I smoked in college. I quit long ago, however I still love a good cigar… Can’t turn down the offer of a fine Cuban cigar. But that is about it… I am not one to castigate a person who smokes, For me it is chocolate… We all have our own poison…LOL Oh.. American citizens can be married in an embassy or consul but it has to be done by a local justice of the peace. My parents were married in the American embassy . My mother was an American citizen and my father was not. However I do not think that they will be married in a traditional type of wedding. I am sure they have had their own type of ceremony and they will share legal responsibility of the children.

Yes, there will be people who say, "my grandfather smoked for 60 years and died at the ripe old age of 80 with a *** between his lips".# 128 | lylian | March 20, 2006 11:39 PMThat would be me saying that. But don’t get me wrong. I still would prefer people NOT smoke, even if smoking were healthy. I can’t stand the smell or the smoke. It’s bad for the skin. It stains the teeth and interiors of houses of smokers. Having said that, I have to clarify about my brother. His mild heart attack was a convergence of bad habits, with primarily his indulgence with fast foods and junk foods as the primary cause. For a Chinese guy, he’s overweight (shows you how American diets can wreak havoc on any ethnicity’s predisposition to be "thin"). His lungs were surprisingly clean in his X-rays. Regardless, nobody knows what genes he/she was born with to have that protective gene mutation. So smoking is nevertheless risky behavior. It’s something I would prefer Brad AND Jennifer to quit.

# 128 | lylian | March 20, 2006 11:39 PM "I understand it is difficult to quit smoking. I still don’t really understand why. Nevertheless, quitting is possible."It took me a long time to quit because it is an addiction. My mother had a friend who was a very well known jazz musician who also was known for his heroin use. Anyway he finally kicked that habit, but still smoked. My mom asked him what was the hold up, and he told her that quitting cigarettes was harder to kick than the heroin! It took me try after try after try, and people hassling you who have no idea that in fact "you are addicted to the nicotine" didn’t help. Thank God for two things. 1. The realization that there IS no such thing as willpower. With anything it’s about deciding that you don’t want to participate any longer, and committing to that even knowing temptation will be there. The moment I figured that one out, it was ezzy breezy. 2. Nicotine patches. I was a physically addicted smoker, and the patches went a long way in keeping the cravings at bay, the shakes away, and allowing me not to end up replacing one habit with another such as over eating…in fact I lost weight!I hope Brad Pitt quits for his own health as well as for his family, but I also know that sometimes it takes some longer than others to get there, and I’m not going to judge him (or anyone). I saw up clse and personal a relative die from smoke related lung cancer at 52yrs old. He looked so old and unreconizable in the intensive care unit that I almost walked right past him. It had ravaged him to the point that he looked like a 80yr man. It was my wake up call, and maybe Brad’s will come in another way.jpf

I like Julian Jolie-Pitt for a boy, Arabella Jolie-Pitt for a girl. it’s got to fit with Maddox and Zahara.

Smoking is more than a psychological addiction; it is a physiological one as well. The chemical effect on the brain is similar to the effect caused by heroin, thus making smoking cessation a difficult thing. Nicotine is an equal opportunity carcinogen whose effects are systemic since it enters the bloodstream. For cessation to be successful, a person should receive clinical assistant as well as psychotherapy, for behavior modification, since the majority of smokers also have to come to terms with denial, as smoking carries a social stigma, and most smokers make futile attempts at glamorizing it and justifying it. Whether smoking socially or chain smoking, or smoking cigars versus cigarettes, its harmful effects are cumulative and its amount is measured in packs-per-year. Therefore, whether you are a “social” or chain-smoker, smoking is smoking. Being in the presence of smokers when attempting to quit on your own rarely leads to successful cessation, especially because there are intrinsic factors as well as it being a long road and slow process.Inhalation of second-hand smoke is also harmful, especially for those with a compromised respiratory system such as asthma, those prone to upper respiratory infections and allergies, and more susceptible persons (sick patients, children, pregnant women and the elderly). Studies have shown that when a non-smoker inhales second-hand smoke, its effect is just as immediate as a smoker’s since it enters the non-smoker’s bloodstream as well.I wish Mr. Pitt the insight to seek clinical assistance to aid him in his quest to successfully quit such a harmful and deadly vice.

Ha ha! WHooh! Brad Pitt is smoking! Brad Pitt is smoking! Then it’s not real love you are feeling Brad for that VIXEN, HOMEWRECKER woman. I thought you are willing to give up smoking for her? LOL

Ha ha! Whooh! Brad Pitt is smoking! Brad Pitt is smoking! Then it’s not real love you are feeling for that VIXEN, HOMEWRECKER woman! I though you are willing to give up smoking for her.

# 135 | jughead | March 21, 2006 12:38 AMSo what does that say for the 7 years he was smoking with Jennifer and smoking pot? He had to be in a daze to be with Ms. Aniston?

if he cared about those children being raised without a father he would quit, but he must not care. So sad, poor Angelina, baby and children. He’s no good for her.

Nicotine is a colorless, odorless, organic-based alkaloid in the same family as cocaine, morphine, quinine and strychnine. Drop for drop it is more deadly than either arsenic or strychnine. Although cocaine and heroin both produce powerfully intoxicating illegal highs, governments, experts and studies now tell us that neither is as effective at creating chemical " dependency" as nicotine and its alert dopamine/adrenaline intoxication.

Thanks Cindy2 for the clarification regarding adoption. I hope BP will stop smoking. Lung cancer does not discriminate. I went to 2 funerals, one last year and the other one was last Sunday, both men died of lung cancer. But it is his life after all. Any how, a least on this topic, we are all agreeing that smoking is bad.

Nicotine is a drug found naturally in tobacco. It is highly addictive – as addictive as heroin or cocaine. Over time, the body becomes physically and psychologically dependent on nicotine. Studies have shown that smokers must overcome both of these to be successful at quitting and staying quit.Nicotine produces pleasurable feelings that make the smoker want to smoke more. It also acts as a kind of depressant by interfering with the flow of information between nerve cells. As the nervous system adapts to nicotine, smokers tend to increase the number of cigarettes they smoke, and hence the amount of nicotine in their blood. After a while, the smoker develops a tolerance to the drug, which leads to an increase in smoking over time. Eventually, the smoker reaches a certain nicotine level and then smokes to maintain this level of nicotine.

Break-ups,addictions and loneliness Oh my!

Brad is a smoker @ 03/21/2006 at 1:30 am

Mr and Mrs. Smoke @ 03/21/2006 at 1:43 am

A picture is worth a 1000 words! You all have been so judgemental of JA while Brad stinks up his apartment with kids in it. All that smoke doesn’t go out the window either. Tells you what a sneak he is. Just like he was sneaking around on his wife with his costar. Rotten bout of them.

"Lou.. who wants to argue? All I said was he looked sad. Is that bad? I don’t see how? Please explain, I am not trying to argue…. Just pointing out a different view # 23 | 92122girl | March 20, 2006 06:26 PM "Exactly! What is wrong with an opposing view?? I mean you people have some nerve dissing others for criticizing two cheaters. Not that 90212 or whatever was doing. But if you have such a problem with our criticisms, then why are you here and why are reposnding to them and reading them? Don’t you hae anything better to do? The only time people respond to you, is when you’re directly responding to someone else or crticising another poster. It;s pathetic! These are CELEBRITIES! What is the matter with you people? That’s why people keep thinking that PR is involved, because no average person would be THIS concentrated on defending a stupid celeb! I’ve heard of CRITICIZING a celeb, but defending them for their cheating? It;’s like defending Bush for lying about weapons of mass destruction. You people come up with one excuse after another! It’s like republicans vs. Democrats. I would never defend Brangelina for what they did and the fact that you keep negating everything Jen did is PROOF enough that what Brangelina did was wrong!

# 145 | Mr and Mrs. Smoke here we go again…..sneaking, sleeping around…it’s like a child who keep whining that her toys/candies/dolls got taken away…sigh…couldn’t move on…oh well!! shoulda..coulda..woulda!!

I generally don’t post…I look at the pics and keep it moving. I simply needed to state how it’s hard for me to understand why every pic about these people becomes a 200+ post barrage of who did this, who said that… These two people (Brad/Jen) are not together anymore, why are they still constantly tag teamed? Brad has a new family, Jennifer is in the process of trying to create one for herself…two separate situations at this point. I’m not in any way trying to judge anyone posting but GEEZUS. The same stuff over and over again? After a year and a few months ain’t some of ya’ll tired of typing the same garbage over and over? Bottom line, Brad is grown and wouldn’t be where and with whom he is with if he didn’t want to be. The same goes for whatever/whoever the hell Jennifer is doing in her spare time.P.S. I wish Brad well and hope he can quit smoking not only for himself, but his babies (same for Jennifer if/when she decides to have them).

ok..so he smoke, so what, we are know it’s bad for you, we did not defending him, …but it does not mean that because he smoke, he cheated and lied ….goodness, then all smokers are cheater and liar….JA smoke therefore she is also a cheater and a liar as well…right #145 and #146?

correction: We all know…not are
