Synopsis :: The new season of American Dreamz, the wildly popular television singing contest, has captured the country’s attention, as the competition looks to be between young Midwestern gal Sally Kendoo (Mandy Moore) and showtunes-loving young man Omer from Orange County (Sam Golzari). Recently awakened President Staton (Dennis Quaid) even wants in on the craze, as he signs up for the potential explosive season finale.
Here are the latest production stills for Paul Weitz’s American Dreamz coming to a theater near you next Friday, April 21. Personally, I’d go watch it just to see Shohreh Aghdashloo (24, X-men 3) but there’s also Katie Holmes’ ex-fiance, Chris Klein, as Sally’s veteran boyfriend William Williams (um, who in their right mind would name their son that?), Willem Dafoe as Vice President Sutter and Hugh Grant as the self-aggrandizing, self-loathing reality show host Martin Tweed in American Dreamz. I’m curious to see this movie. i hope it not another.. "oh look at america, we are soo stupid, yadda yadda yadda " type movie.that would suck.
I saw this last night. It was funny, and I definitely didn’t expect the ending, but the humor lacks any degree of sublety at all. It’s very in-your-face and completely transparent, but still good for laughs. You’ve been Omer-ized!
i saw a free sneak preview of this movie not knowing what to expect, but it was pretty funny. the Omer’s gay cousin reminds me of Jack’s character from "Will and Grace" and i couldn’t stop laughing out loud at his scenes.
ooh! i can’t wait to catch this movie. the photo of dennis quaid holding up the poor dog’s ears is so goofy.
Dennis Quaid and High Grant…oops, I mean Hugh… look smokin’ next to each other. Hot! Makes me think that if you fused their faces, it would look like Brad Pitt.
I’ve noticed JustJared seems to like the middle eastern/arabic actors. Whenever a middle eastern actor is shown on his website, he says, "Personally, I’d go watch it just to see…" or "…. is my personal favorite…"
