Brad Pitt Shopping

Paris, France :: I finally present to you Brad Pitt (wearing his tan shoes again!) shopping earlier this month at photography store La Maison du Leica located at 52 Boulevard Beaumarchais. ("La Maison du Leica" translates to "The House of Leica." Leica is a camera company, "the father of 35 mm photography" and a leading manufacturer of high precision cameras.)  Brad, 42, didn’t left the camerashop emptyhanded before heading home to his family — Angelina Jolie, 30, son Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 4, and daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 1.  Days after, Brad was whisked away to the Dominican Republic to meet with art dealers, promoters and architects.  More pictures in the gallery!

Goodnight, Stef! Sweet dreams!!Susie and African Girl: you and me three! We all admire her because she just makes you sit up and watch closely when she’s on the screen. I really should watch Pushing Tin and Sky Captain again. Maybe I’ll just fast forward the GP/JL parts and just watch Angie’s part. I really fell asleep out of boredom with those two, plus the colors were so monochromatic. I would rather just watch The Women of the West where she played a Southern belle that didn’t know she was half Indian. She had a lot of kids there too.You know, even in Alexander, people were saying they should have played her up more. Maybe the movie wouldn’t have been so bad it they did. I think she was believable as the mother to Colin because she has the talent and a face that makes you forget her age. If Kate Beckinsale could play it good as Selene in Underworld, I think Angelina could have made that part better. Those eyes of hers and her stance alone would be awesome as a vampire. She’s already got the accent down pat (critics made fun of that Slavic accent in Alexander saying she sounded more like Dracula’s bride or something). I bet she would really rock in a horror film ala Underworld. But then the haters would have another ammo to shoot her with.

EstelleI haven’t read the Da Vinci Code….I find it really difficult to read a book when there so much hype surrounding it. I’ll have to wait another year or two. I was going to read it this year but the movie is coming out, so…..

Hey, Angelah! How’s school? Saw you at the very beginning of the thread. You’re an early bird. ha? Di ba sa San Diego ka? or mali ako? Alexanderina is SD, I think but you and jjoy, I forgot where you said you were at. Malaya is another Pinay that comes here but can’t remember where she is posting from either.Eyes, don’t worry. Times are changing. Women have more rights now than ever before and a lot of men are getting more in touch with their feminine side so there’s hope in the horizon for us. Just don’t stop believing that it’s women who keep this world sane and we are in fact smarter than the guys in some ways. Therein lies our strength.

Ag, dont read the Da Vinci code. Its pure heresy.jesus bein married to mary. bad.

# 377 | African Girl-you will like it, if not you can read another book from Dan Brown, " Angel and Demon". I find that people read this book first, like it more than " Da Vinci Code" while people that read the DVC first like it more than A&D. So it is up to you.

I was going to read it this year but the movie is coming out, so….. # 377 | African Girl There is one thing I can say about the Da Vinci Code. It is overhyped. If you’ve read one Dan Brown book you’ve read them all. However, I know there are some die hard fans of the book, which will hate me for saying that. My friend and I disagree about it, she loves it, I thought it was alright. However, I can say that if you’ve never read a Dan Brown book before you might enjoy it more. It IS fun to read. Whether you read it or not to me depends on what you prefer to enjoy more: the book or the movie. But somehow with this book, it might be possible to enjoy them both.

oops, I gotta go now. I hope everybody here enjoys a good weekend. Have fun posting. Will read what you guys write when I come back on Monday morning.Night, mi amigas!! and amigo (rudedog)! almost forgot you there.

Alexander was nothing LIKE the real true story! It was awful. oliver Stone did a terrible job. History teachers everywher were mad.lol, Hollywood always mess up history, and it turns out a bad story. Troy was also nothin’ like the real story. I didnt like that one too. Its just sad. The only reason troy did good was because BP was in it. Im soory all, but AJ could never bring that kinda power. The reason smith did really good was mainly because everyone wanted to see thei chemistrey. If you looked beyond that, it was bad cinematography.

But with that one, at least we sat there making fun of the movie throughout, but Alexander was such a drag to watch. The Angelina parts that I saw was good and I kept thinking, why don’t they show her more? She’s the only interesting person in the movie. They made Alexander out to be this whiny little brat when he instead was this fiercely ambitious fighter and a man who seemed like he had no fears. Colin Farrel with his strange looking mop was terribly miscast.

Hi BAMZ+1 fans, I’m still dealing with a sick kitty, so I won’t be around much. Since we have no new pics I thought I’d share some of the old ones, I hadn’t seen these before (you might have) if you like to see Brad, George and Matt at the Grand Prix in Monaco 5/22/2004. There are about 20 pics!http://www.simplybrad.com/images/thumbnails.php?album=20

Passing Through @ 04/21/2006 at 7:48 pm

Passing through, was the author of the article Lloyd Grove or Rush and Malloy? I think it was Lloyd Grove who banned Brad Pitt’s name in his column. He said he will never ever write that name in his column again for some reason. Maybe since they couldn’t go back on their word, they have hit on the closest target instead. # 358 | the real tita++++++++++++++Tita, I’m at home now and I can’t remember which of them wrote the article. The thing about database searching is that you only get the "full text" of articles and usually it’s like a really bad text file and all smushed together with minimal formatting. I just can’t remember who had the byline on the article that called her a media *****. Frankly the article smelled of sour grapes. It read like reporters who are pissed that they aren’t able to manipulate her or blackmail her into doing interviews because she doesn’t have a publicist that they can contact. So maybe that’s why she hasn’t had one all these years. The guy was basically saying, take the BP story…rumors are flying that she’s the cause of the divorce, they contact BP’s publicist and get a live body for the obligatory official denial. Ditto at JA’s publicist. They try to ask AJ and they have to talk to her directly because she doesn’t use a middleman. Problem is - they don’t have her phone number and her agent blows them off. So they think this is very calculating on her part because now you’ve basically got no comment from her and they say that keeps interest high and keeps her name in the news. And then they go into a bunch of other crap that boils down to - she doesn’t say "how high" when we (the media) says jump, ergo everything she does is calculated to make her a huge freaking international star….blah blah blah.As for Lloyd Grove…I found that article, too and he’s full of ****. He basically banned BP because he doesn’t like him, but uses the excuse that BP is two-faced and says he denied an affair with AJ but then "sheepishly admits to it" during the Diane Sawyer interview. I read that and just fell over laughing. What interview did he see? It sure wasn’t the one that made it onto ABC.

# 385 | guli- I hope your cat feel better, :(thanks for the link, his hair look so orange doesn’t it?

#357 - Great article. Just my opinion, but I feel one character that Angelina will do really well if not fit into her persona, is the story of Mata Hari. I have read about Mata Hari and a movie was made starring Greta Garbo(?) moons ago. (never seen it) But Mata Hari was an intriguing creature. In a way, she was kinda like Angie - strong and determined. She was accused of being a moll (spy) for either the Germans or the French, and from what I’ve read, was a pretty vague investigation and trial. But seems she just agreed to the setup just to be with her true love- a Russian soldier. To make a long story short, she was condemned to die (hang or shot by a squad) - can’t remember. It’s been a while since I’ve read the story, but if any of you are interested, I dug up these online links of Mata Hari.http://www.crimelibrary.com/terrorists_spies/spies/hari/1.htmlhttp://www.denniskeeler.com/id2.htmMaybe, you can be the judge if Angie can play her better than Garbo (again, never saw it – gotta be the black & white film). The only difference is that, the supposedly exotic and beautiful Mata Hari got fat in jail awaiting for her trial/death? Well, Hollywood has always twisted the truth in the past, am sure they can twist this one as well. So instead of Angie getting fat, her hair will just turn all white ala Marie Antoinette, awaiting to be guillotined. This is IF HW ever re-make the story of Mata Hari. Again just my thoughts and what character can Angie play best. :DOkay, will be gone for a while again…..:))

Passing Through, so glad you posted that about her as an actress. That’s how she first caught my eye, as a lover of movies, she is an actress born to the medium, but I think she should make European films where they might be able to use her talents better. Anyway, if you have time and find more articles like that, especially truly great movie criticism featuring Jolie, please do post! As for the NYDN, they suck and so often have false information, not only in entertainment but wrong facts in their news articles, that they aren’t worth mentioning. Nobody does gossip like the NYPost, if you’re looking. They can be snarky and sarcastic, but are often very funny and I have yet to find them inaccurate without an apology and retraction and smackdown of the source who gave them false info. I have grown to actually respect them, if you can use that word and celebrity gossip in the same sentence!

#265 OMG Passing Through!! You are so funny!! That is so hilarious, adn I was right there with you the whole time, you tell it so well! I would have dragged you to the bathroom or accosted you in the parking lot, I would not have been able to wait 20 minutes until you got home to share that laugh. Frankly, I’ve never understood wanting your HUSBAND to see all that, either. Up at your head, talking to you, holding your hand, fine. Taking pictures and seeing your body do something that shocking and bloody and traumatic — uh, no. Nothing romantic about it. I’ve talked with men about it, too, and privately, those who have witnessed the miracle of birth up close and personal that way, have almost universally admitted that they regret it, although they will never admit it to their wives or to anyone who might tell their wife. It’s all they can think of when trying to get sexy with their wives after that. I even had a man I know professionally, not even as an acquaintance, who had had kids. We were all talking about kids, and it got to women giving birth, and he turned to me, of child-bearing age and single, and said, very seriously, "If you have a baby, don’t ever let your husband watch it. Just DON’T. Trust me on this." I thought his advice itself was TMI, but man, he is right. There has to be some things left a bit mysterious and private, and of all things I think pushing a baby out from between your legs in a mass of blood and fluid has GOT to be at the top of the list!! And let me clarify that I’m not squeamish and was in the delivery room for my best friend, but at her HEAD, I didn’t go over and watch her privates expel my goddaughter!!

# 364 | the real tita Tita, the only problem with AJ playing the fallen angel is that all of the angels are OLDER than she is…two of them by quite a few years! Drew B is 31, Cameron D is 33 and Lucy Liu is 37.Also, I’m not sure why CZJ keeps getting mentioned in the same breath as AJ when people talk about her contemporaries. CZJ is a good 10 years older than AJ, despite her reporting her age as 36. # 366 | cain I was very impressed by the writing in this article. One other thing to note is that Pauline Kael was a major movie critic. She was really one of the first critics to become famous for analyzing movies, so she’s very well respected. I found it interested that even as her health was declining she was still able to maintain her interest in movies and took special note of AJ above all the other mediocre talents out there. The haters keep saying that AJ has been in some dog movies, which is true, but she’s generally the best thing in the movie regardless of the script and her co-stars.# 370 | African Girl AG, sorry, there’s no link. I pasted it directly from the Lexis-Nexis database I was searching. However, the article is copyrighted to Salon.com, so you can probably find it in their archives.# 373 | Tish I think it’ll be interesting to see if she uses BP’s production deal at Paramount to her advantage. But, I just can’t see her piggy-backing on him the way JA did. I also think if she actively sought better roles she’d get them. Maybe she should take a page out of Queen Latifah’s book and create her own projects? Although, that doesn’t really seem to be her style. She’s more interested in world affairs than her next Oscar.

# 388 | Estelle | Hi there Estelelle, I know it is a matter of days , but darn it, it hurts like heck!!! I know it is just a cat. But he has been around for so long, and part of our family I had this cat for 18 years and fought for bed spaces since he wanted the pillow and I always tried to make him go to bed between our feet instead. Well, this is life, my kids are going to be so upset, but this is another lesson for them to learn in life, enjoy them while they are still alive…you only get one chance…I need to go, BAMZ+1 fans I admire you all. I’ll be back! Best to all!!!

Hello AllFinally got a moment’s peace. Thank God!About Da Vinci CodeTo read or not to read….that is the question. I am also on the fence with the movie, I found that when books are made into movies, a lot of things get lost in translation. GuliI don’t know what to say….I never know what to say in situations like this. Remember, your cat had 18 wonderful years. Remember the wonderful memories you have with him. That is what matters. Take care of yourself. Passing ThroughAwww, no link! I guess I’ll just copy and paste this woman. Thanks anyway. I just love that article. It was well written but not overly gushing. I hate reading articles where the writers is so Kissing A**, ughhh!Like someone said in a previous post, this writer did his research.JunoAJ as Mata Hari…? Let me think about that for a sec. It does sound perfect on paper, two fiercely independent and strong women…I can see that.Remember The TruthMy sentiments exactly. There is no way on earth I am having it taped let alone have people watch it. Yikes!

# 393 | guli | I know how you are feeling, I had a dog, his named was Blackie, he died 2 years ago of cancer, I had him for 13 years….I cried and lost 8 lbs…I couldn’t sleep nor eat for a while…I kept everything that was belong to him for a while, finally, my brother had to give everything away…so I vowed to myself never get another pet…last year I got a gold fish for my niece, just for fun, then my niece got a guinea pig, so I have to take care of the fish, every morning, when I came downstair, I can see the fish jumping out of the bowl greeting me, " good morning, food please"….it would swim up toward the surface for me to pet it head…so smart this fish, the fish lived for 14 1/2 months, when it died last month, I was depressed for serveral days…so the point of the story is never give Estelle any pet…:), actually, life goes on, your cat will meet my dog and fish in pets heaven…:), like you’ve said, enjoy them while they are still alive, yep…
