Namibia, Africa :: Probably no new pictures of Brad Pitt, 42, and Angelina Jolie, 30, will surface anytime soon because they issued a privacy plea — "We love Africa and to be here in Namibia with our family is very special for us. "To the local people who have been so kind and gracious, thank you for making us feel at home. As for the press, we kindly ask for privacy so that we can enjoy this beautiful country with our children." But don’t fret my pets! NBC News’ Ann Curry traveled to Namibia for an exclusive interview with Angelina Jolie, who has taken on a new cause, calling for all the world’s children to be given the opportunity to get an education. In the interview, airing this week, Global Education week, Jolie also talked with Curry about her new life and expecting a child.

She looks radiant and beautiful as always. She has that natural look going on & still sexy as ever even though she’s so big now that she’s close to her due date. I’m glad that even now she’s taking the time to give attention to those less fortunate & putting what’s important out there instead of concentrating on the material things in life. I really adore everthing that she has done & she continues to surprise me on how big her heart is & how she’s such a great huminatarian. I only have the best wishes for her & Brad. I hope they have a healthy baby & much luck to their whole family. Its nice to see her so happy & its nice that she’s found someone who can make her happy while doing the things she loves together.

Brad and Angie knows that the world is now focused on them since she is about to give birth and what a better way than to take advantage of the media mileage and talk about their worthy causes. In this way, their media exposure is not reduced to just about themselves or a just a movie promo. Like what Tom cruise is doing, using his new baby to promote his movie. I really admire B & A, clever people.
I can’t wait for the interview. I just love how she uses her fame to bring attention to those in need. I wholeheartedly believe every person on earth should ask herself/himself one important question:At the end of my life what will I be remembered for? Angie will forever be remembered for her humanitarian work, her love for her children, and her love for Brad - another person committed to helping others. Not a bad legacy, in my opinion.
Ann Curry has had a number of interviews with Jolie over the years, in particular AJ was asked about the innocent, but infamous kiss with her brother. Ms. Curry has long curriculum vitae on reporting about humanitarian issues worldwide, and Angie has learned to trust Curry’s reporting.

The picture they had on ET showed her in white, also with a kerchief on. Brad looked wonderful - slender [side view of him]. I’m afraid I was looking at his torso and didn’t even notice his hair! Who’d have thought THAT! I just looked and they don’t have a picture on their site. Someone must have it….it’ll show up sooner or later.

Oh, Angie looks so happy and just glowing with love. The pregnancy certainly has made her even more beautiful. And look at how much +1 has grown this last month. Hope all those naysayers who said she was "starving herself and would hurt the baby" now shut up. Looks like "baby jolie-pitt" will soon make its appearance. Here’s to a healthy baby and a quick and easy delivery for Angie (and Brad as it’s usually Daddy who has a more difficult time in the delivery room). Angelina is glorious. Someone said "radiant" and that is definitely an apt description. From a PR standpoint and aside from bringing attention to a worthy cause, this interview and that statement in regards to ther privacy are well timed to help combat the reports of Brangelina’s presence inconveniencing locals with their security. They are there because they love Namibia, but they are giving back as well, which makes the idea of the government pitching in to help in their privacy issues a little more fair in my opinion.

Maybe Ann Curry didn’t want to be relegated to morning TV, where she wouldn’t get to do things like travel to Africa for real stories. Maybe cooking segments and talking to vapid celebs about their latest movie isn’t her style! And that’s probably why Angie picked her, to spread it around and not just have Diane Sawyer as their source, but other competent, important newspeople on other networks also cover the stories in developing nations and elsewhere that B&A want to shine a light on.I agree with Fiona, now when the whole world wants to know what is going on with them, they are using their notoriety for good. All those people saying they are courting publicity are missing the point. One, they don’t court, they USE what they already have, and for a purpose beyond their own movie careers or image. They are such awesome people and their power is now exploded since coming together, it’s just great to see! If I had a chance, I would ask if they know we exist–a world-wide ring of people of every age, nationality, and walk of life, who communicate with each other every day because we are drawn together in a mutual admiration society, and they are the reason! I would try to convince them to participate, too, because imagine how doing so could spread and strengthen the messages they want the world to hear, and it could be done from the privacy of their home!

AG, you can always do what the celebs do — opt for a C-section! I’m serious! I know people in real life who have done this. You can then plan the day so you don’t give birth in an elevator or the front lawn of the hospital, and you don’t have the pain because you are knocked out, then when you awake, they hand you the baby! The operation is much advanced now and the scar tiny. You won’t have the recovery in your privates, either, or change in that area. Recovery all around is quicker, and easier. And nowadays, having a Caesarian does not mean you always have to, like 30 years ago. You can still opt for a natural birth in the future, should you want to. So go on, there AG!! I think raising children is such a great thing, and while I don’t want to do it myself it’s not for lack of love of kids, but maybe the opposite — I don’t have a lifestyle conducive to it or relatives nearby. So I completely admire those who want to do it, and take it seriously! If you want to, and it was the birthing process giving you pause, I hope this suggestion helps so you won’t be deprived of something you really want.

If you don’t stay on top of things and check in every day you can be confronted with 500 or more unread posts. I want to read all of them, because if I don’t, those I do read don’t always make sense! I had to stay up until 3am one night to catch up. African Girl, no presents yet! They have been part of the humanitarian and philinthropic community and have not stopped to look back. I think this adds another layer of depth to their relationship. It’s great she’s drawing attention to education, but I hope Angelina keeps up the awareness on refugees and that they do mention Darfur in the interview. She’s not trying to save the world or trying to be Mother Teresa. I don"t necessarily think she’s a role model in the traditional sense. But Angelina has quietly bought attention to issues normally not covered in the media. Would NBC even have gone to Namibia if she weren’t there? Sometimes in order to get attention it’s not how loudly you shout but how softly you speak. People tend to try to get closer to you when you quietly state your passion for a cause close to your heart.Looking forward to seeing the interview.

I am serious, I am honestly terrified of holding them…..don’t me wrong I adore babies just don’t leave them in my care until they are four months and above. Those tiny babies….so fragile, their bones still so soft….I tell you, when you think about it, women should be adored for everything they go through. Look at that AJ, in less than two months, she’s going to have a baby. One day she is pregnancy, the next she has a baby. How do you get emotionally prepared for that? You have this totally helpless child depending on you for EVERYTHING! Yikes! I put myself in a mood. Alright I have to go call my mama now.

I think I spent a good 5 mins just staring at the picture, getting my fill after so many days of thirst. So naturally beautiful, no makeup, just a simple scarf, and WOW! When I see this picture, and I think of the list of other women on the People.com vote for most all time beautiful, like Britney and JA, I have to laugh. You’d have to be totally drunk to even compare Angie’s timeless beauty to those clowns. After an extremely busy and tiring day, it was so wonderful to see this picture. She got tired of people begging her for pictures, so she gave in and took pic with this teenage kid while holding maddox and she had to push maddox face away because she didnt want his face to be in the picture. You can tell she was fed up because she was surrounded by all these people, even her bodyguard Mickey didn’t know what to do but follow her lead. I feel sorry for her assistant too, she was holding the stroller(folded up) and trying to catch up with angie. OMG now i see why they had to go all the way to Namibia just for a peace of heaven. I am a big fan but i really feel sorry for her and her kids after watching that video.Just think about it, you’re shopping in a kids store and there are cameras and people waiting out there for you and once you come out "BAM!" flashes and people yelling for you EVERYWHERE while being with your child. Hey AG, remember the first time you will be holding that baby you will be sitting down, or reclining. When you put the baby on your chest, your love will take over and you will know just where to put your arms, but also the baby is right in bed with you, you can’t hurt him/her no matter what you do. As soon as that baby is over your heart, you will automatically try to hug him/her, and you will adjust where your arms are to do that with something so tiny, just as if you were holding a cat or small puppy you adjust your arms, but this is so much easier because you are wanting to put the baby near your heart without even knowing that’s what you are doing. You will know exactly what to do, and it will be easy, and you’ll be doing it a lot, so when you do hold and carry the baby later, you won’t be nervous about standing or moving with him/her.

How many posters here do it every day? And let’s look at Reese before Legally Blonde, CZJ pregnant while making Traffic and right after Chicago, even her costar Lisa Kudrow DURING Friends, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, Debra Messing, etc. Pregnancy and motherhood did not and has not slowed down the careers of any of them. There is no way it was a choice of either/or for JA. It was a choice of NO. And if it was because she wasn’t sure of Brad being the forever one for her, which is a legitimate concern, shame on her for stringing him along. They just weren’t right for each other, and thank God she didn’t and now two people SO right for each other have found each other! The power of that love and what happens when two people are on the same page shows in what B&A have been able to accomplish so far and how they keep surprising us with their amazing energy and what they are up to next!!

OK, as we are talking motherhood here, I must confess, I did not fall in love instantly with my little tyke. I was just too stunned. Like one minute she didn’t really exist and the next, there she was, this little red squalling human being. I remember one slightly insane moment, me sitting on my arm chair, about 10 days after my daughter was born and wondering, quite seriously, if I should have her fostered out till she turned 2 and then thinking, "no, no, that’s too early to bring her back for me to look after. May be I’ll wait till she is 16 or 17" At that point, sanity returned. For the first few months, especially if you end up breast feeding you just have to give up most of your life to this kid. But you do regain it back, bit by bit. My daughter was one of those babies who woke up every 2 hours to feed and she did that for 4 months. That was exhausting. But finally, it dwindled down to a feed at midnight and a feed at 4.00 am. I used to love those feeds. Just my baby and I in bed, everything dark and quiet, feeling cozy and safe. Cuddling the little body close. I felt that I was in a womb with her. One book I found really useful is a book called "the Mask of Motherhood" by Susan Malouf (I think). Its a good book because it talks about all the bad things about motherhood. After reading that book, I decided that if I felt bad about motherhood from time to time, being tied down, having to go on the mommy track at work etc, it was OK to feel that way coz lots of women do. It didn’t mean that I was a bad mother. Just a normal woman who did, on some days, feel, the burdens of motherhood. Most days though, having my child has been a great blessing and joy.

I know my mother and grandmama still shudder when the word DIVORCE is uttered. "Non, non….you married him and you will fight to stay married. If we have to lock you up in a room and not let you out until you work it, then so shall it be". It made sense for a while then when I saw the HELL my brother went through with his wife, I had to force myself to change my mentality. Sometimes people don’t work out. There is nothing to it. Encouraging them to remain in that relationship just because they married that person is synonymous to sentencing them a life time punishment. My brother and his ex wife seem to be very happy in the different paths they’ve taken. So I don’t feel sorry for them. On the other hand, if one party seems to have moved on the other can barely get their bearing…..it’s sad. AJ seems to be the happiest and truly glowing in her pictures taken in the African contenent. I think she truly loves Africa and its people the most. Anytime you access a website they’re able to use a program on their server to determine your what the IP address of your machine is. They’re probably just logging them and when someone votes they compare the IP to the database they’ve compiled. The only way around it is for you to change your IP address. Which is hard to do unless your ISP gives you a new one. Or you work somewhere where you can acquire more if you know how….or you go use the end-users machine while they’re at lunch! (Just kidding, folks, about using other people’s machines while they’re gone. That’s a big ass headache I just don’t need! Plus, it’ll alleviate your worries that your IT person is at YOUR desk while you’re at lunch!)

If you want to cover all of your tracks, delete BOTH temp files and cookies. Also, you’d better check a couple of other places that temp files get stored. Malibumom, I like your posts, long or short.It’s never too late and you can still spend time in a foreign country, and start shorter than a summer! My goal is to spend the cold winter months in a warm climate, because I hate being cold. I can’t afford to run off for two months, but this year started with two weeks. I’ll be up to two months someday… As for being a nurse, I’ve read your posts long enough now to know you ahve a BIG heart, and to me that’s the number one requirement of a nurse. Again, never too late. Five years from now, you can either be a nurse, or still not be one. All these things in life are OUR choices, and we don’t have to follow anyone else’s rules or timelines. You go for it, if you want to!! Besides, we need nurses in the U.S. You would not have trouble finding a job.

It wasn’t nursing I wanted to do it was med school, but I gave that up to-You are right I love to help ppl-the downside of nursing and medicine is you see the death suffering and I can’t take that too much-of course everything is not going to be wonderful all of the time, but I am not as strong as I used to be with reference to watching ppl suffer-some of the pics of starving babies and dead innocent ppl tear me apart-I cannot bear it-that’s why I love what AJ does-my only complaint is that I am not sure all of the money is being allocated to where it needs to go-I spent 10+years in research-we were paid by grants from the national institutes of health, private sectors, and other organizations-We had to spend money all of the money by the end of the fiscal year which for us ended in July-If not we would not be given the same amount or maybe any money for the next year-So after buying needless equipment and tons of chemicals, tissues, copy paper, and latex gloves, you come to the conclusion that most of the charitable giving is misappropriated-Think about it-How long have there been starving ppl in Africa? Why aren’t there roads and schools similar to what we know built. Look behind the pic of angie and the kids with ann curry those appear to by shanty-type homes in the distance behind the fence. And that both Kate Hudson and Reese Witherspoon married very young, had kids, and are still married and have thriving careers. Somehow they seem to be able to handle their lives without living in front of the cameras and reading everything about themselves. Here is another eye-opener: Julia Roberts is also 37. Nicole Kidman is one year older than JA, and Renee Zellwegger one year younger. All seem so much savvier on how to handle their images, and all have also faced personally devastating scandals. But then all also have complete lives with more going on than simple narcissism and shallow values.

ok so now I am on a soapbox because I am passionate about this:In the USA we have so called poor ppl-To me poverty is a state of mind- what makes someone poor in the eyes of others? is it the way they look, what they wear? Their housing or what? I will tell you-the classifications of class and income are based moreso on proper manners than anything else-Ex: Two black families in the USA living in the south. One family has 9 kids and another has 8. The 9 kid family lives in a small two bedroom home two streets over from the 8 kids family-Both attend the same church. However, the ppl at church think the 9 kid family is rich and the 8 kid family is poor? why? Both have both parents. Both dads work on the river hauling boxes (precursor to fedex!) Both moms stay at home. Here’s the difference:The mom of the nine kid family is organized because her mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother were. She divides her kids into groups. The three oldest girls take care of the three youngest girls-The three boys work outside in the garden-yes they have a garden-90% of the food they eat comes from the garden-When they buy bulk items like flour and sugar the mom takes the seams out of the gingham cloth that the flour come in, makes patterns from newspaper and makes her girls clothes. The three oldest girls were taught to do this also-All three girls can cook, clean, sew, change diapers, comb hair, and can food. The boys know how to plow, harvest, shell peas, save cotton seeds to put in your jelly jars so they won’t break in the winter. They also know how to build a shed and repair various items. The mom does laundry for a woman in town. From the money she makes she buys more cloth and makes clothes for the rest of the family-Her family always looks nice ;The 8 member family is at a loss as to how you survive-They also have a garden, but no one knows how to sew and their hygiene is not the best because they do not have money for soap al
