Namibia, Africa :: Probably no new pictures of Brad Pitt, 42, and Angelina Jolie, 30, will surface anytime soon because they issued a privacy plea — "We love Africa and to be here in Namibia with our family is very special for us. "To the local people who have been so kind and gracious, thank you for making us feel at home. As for the press, we kindly ask for privacy so that we can enjoy this beautiful country with our children." But don’t fret my pets! NBC News’ Ann Curry traveled to Namibia for an exclusive interview with Angelina Jolie, who has taken on a new cause, calling for all the world’s children to be given the opportunity to get an education. In the interview, airing this week, Global Education week, Jolie also talked with Curry about her new life and expecting a child.

Angelina is glorious. Someone said "radiant" and that is definitely an apt description. From a PR standpoint and aside from bringing attention to a worthy cause, this interview and that statement in regards to ther privacy are well timed to help combat the reports of Brangelina’s presence inconveniencing locals with their security. They are there because they love Namibia, but they are giving back as well, which makes the idea of the government pitching in to help in their privacy issues a little more fair in my opinion.

I think Aj is a great person. I love that she trust Ann Curry and respects her enough to invite her into her world. What a great pair of women. Ann Curry is one of the best female anchors out there. Can’t wait to see the special.

Maybe Ann Curry didn’t want to be relegated to morning TV, where she wouldn’t get to do things like travel to Africa for real stories. Maybe cooking segments and talking to vapid celebs about their latest movie isn’t her style! And that’s probably why Angie picked her, to spread it around and not just have Diane Sawyer as their source, but other competent, important newspeople on other networks also cover the stories in developing nations and elsewhere that B&A want to shine a light on.I agree with Fiona, now when the whole world wants to know what is going on with them, they are using their notoriety for good. All those people saying they are courting publicity are missing the point. One, they don’t court, they USE what they already have, and for a purpose beyond their own movie careers or image. They are such awesome people and their power is now exploded since coming together, it’s just great to see! So happy for them and so full of respect and admiration!!!Has there ever been a more gorgeous pregnant woman?
I’m sure if there is any money being made like new pictures or new information regarding the couple it’s all going to these people you see in the pictures or the aide workers who "leak" new information to the press… it’s really a brilliant plan on Angelina’s part and the people who could really use the money are receiving it. WAY TO GO!

#65… I don’t remember a CM interview. Do you remember when it was? I like Ann Curry because she seems so much deeper than most of the anchor women…. just sitting on a couch and talking about pocket books. Maybe it is better she didn’t get the gig.
