Angelina certainly is beautiful (both physically and spirtually). She definitely has that pregnant glow. She seems very happy and content.I admire her efforts to help those less fortunate. My family is not wealthy; just average middle class trying to make it like everyone else. But we were all raised with the belief that whenever you have the opportunity, you should help those who have less. Whenever opportunity presents itself to be of service and help to others, then that is our obligation and responsibility. I wish Angelina & Brad much happiness and joy. That whole interview is heartwarming. It inspired me to read on her work for the UNHCR and now I have more conviction to do what I can do to help all needy kids get education. I love you Angelina you are really a great role model.

I read that she agreed to answer questions about her pregnancy and Brad in order to get such a high-profile interview and be able to highlight her education platform. So she’s willing to give up details of her personal life for something that is truly valuable - good for her. At least she’s not doing it for another magazine cover or movie promotion. I have to admit, I was not always a fan of Angelina or Brad. Like most people, I found her very strange based on her past actions. But in the past few years I have increasingly liked her. i believe she is genuinely passionate about the causes she promotes. She’s not a saint and has never pretended to be; she herself admitted to having numerous skeletons in her closet. But she honestly tries to make a difference. I think more people should adopt that attitude.At least she is directing all media attention on her and her pregnancy to issues, causes, country, people that needs focus.

I, of course am a BAMZ+1 lover, but I agree somewhat with someone who posted on another thread-For all of the millions raised in the past and until now in the various areas such as aids awareness, healthcare, food, schools, why is it AFRICA still has some of the poorest places in the world? This is a place with many natural resources-diamonds, uranium, oil, . . . .Yet, it is war-torn (why allow Rwanda but fight for Iraq?) Education is more than going to school-Actually if you can read and comprehend, you can become educated without school-look how far this country progressed without some of our forefathers having formal educations. What I am trying to say is stop the million dollar donations-buy some materials and send skilled laborers over there to build adequate shelter-while they rae there let them teach others. Account for every penny that is spent. We have free public education in the US, but we are so busy trying to eliminate drugs, teen pregnancy, crime, and violence from the schools, that we can’t teach. Truly the weapons of Mass Destruction were NEVER in Iraq-They are here in the form of illiteracy, apathy, laziness, and ignorance-

Last year ,Angie’s interview with Ann Curry was somewhat tense and defensive but today’s interview was heartwarming. I am in awe how Brad and Angelina complement each other in the best way. They share the same passions,first-family and second-humanitarian causes. Together, their appeal is more magnetic than ever.They personify the best of being a celebrity, diligently deflecting attention to the people who need it the most. That is why we admire them more than ever.Angelina’s metaphor of "helping thy neighbor" is a powerful message of HOPE. The US has more resources compare to other countries and why not help others as long as it can.Angelina is simply beautiful inside and out.Brad is a lucky man and vice versa.BAMZ +1 forever!

It’s something that will never stop being a puzzlement to me the things we’re willing to dig deep for monetarily speaking, and what on the otherhand we have to be begged before handing over a one red penny.I think AJ is actually of the philosphy that says “give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime.” I really have never gotten the impression that she’s simply about raising funds just to hand them over without it being clear how the monies are to be used, and that’s generally been a cause were a return on the "investment" is expected. Every project that I know of that she backs, seems to have a goal of helping people to become productive and self sufficient and I totally agree, and I myself seek out those areas of need where there is a return on the investment via the recipients being able to one day operate independent of constant outside assistance. I don’t think a lot of people support the The Millennium Villages Project, but I think it’s wonderful, useful, and they get my money because I believe in it’s goals. And I will always support any program whose goal is to provide an education because even at it’s most basic, it can move mountains.jpf

Admit, I’ve been judgemental. I read lately that Brad has started to mend fences with the ex-wife, at least professionally. My wish for all: peace and resolution. For Jennifer, it will always be so bittersweet, no matter what. She was so crazy about Brad. Hurts to love the love of your life to another. But life goes on. Angelina is trying so hard to live down the scandal.

I used to like AJ. Never really had an opinion about BP. But they just seem so contrived. Any pictures of the family have to be posed (the exact word used by Hello Magazine)…nothing natural. Of course they will look their best and happy in posed photos! This interview and photo shoot came out of the blue RIGHT AFTER a barrage of negative stuff was published. They ask for privacy and seclude themselves behind teams of security, but show themselves when it suits their tightly contrived media image. I think she is really pretty but very calculating and contrived. Even the giggle seems like a role she is playing for the cameras…so far from her more sophisticated persona.Although all rumors, I can’t help to believe that she is a ***** behind closed doors and that BP will have enough after the thrill of seeing his long awaited biological child.

Angelina Jolie is a great role model. Her new cause calling for all the world’s children to be given the opportunity to get an education has inspired me to sponsor a child through Catholic charities. I really admire her for her strong belief that our children are our future.

However, let me point out that there is quite a difference between (i) covert journalism exposing atrocities in an unjust & oppress country vs. (ii) the right to take a picture of a pregnant actress on vacation with her family. The difference is one is to expose the truth and fight injustice the other is to sell magazines and make a profit. The later is bordering on harassment and terrorisms. As for the tactics of the Namibian authorities and the security guards you are right, I would be upset if they did this. I don’t agree with searching people’s homes and confiscating their cameras. I think that Angie and Brad’s intention in releasing the statement is to protect themselves and personal space as far as the hotel where they are staying. IMO, they wouldn’t condone such behaviors. They have always been very gracious and understanding of the paparazzis wanting to take their pictures.

I mean, hell, one verbose but not necessarily articulate regular embraces…no, make that worships the National Enquirer. WTF?!Anyhow, since extricating myself from there as an active poster, I don’t get as repulsed by the posts. Nope, I look at it in a different light of how badly those messages reflect on that site, which is a shame because the general forums are sensible. So I’m quite at peace with the presence of childish, immature and even the vulgar posts that most balanced people would find repugnant. This commentary is actually a reply to the People Magazine thread, but the subject matter is more appropriate here. It just goes to show that nothing is more blinding and mentally-numbing than the consuming hate festering in the yes, HATERS. I’ve watched the interview and Angie did extremely well. When Angie was speaking on serious issues, she knew her facts right off the bat - as broken down by Original Curious. Nobody with at least half a brain can dispute those facts either. I like what she said in response to Ann Curry’s questions as to why help other countries when america is besiege with domestic problems as well. She said how can you live if your neighboring counties are crumbling, in chaos. True to what she said, we can’t simply live alone, we are affected by all people around us. It’s good to hear that she knows what she is talking about. I agree about what someone said on this thread about accounting to the donations being given and providing sustainable lives for these people. More than, raising awareness AJ and BP and Bono are clearly saying that there needs a policy, law that will ensure and guarantee that these poor people are provided with their basic needs to survive, food, shelter, medicine and education. People can only help and donate so much, but if there is a governing law that will force governments, politicians to act on this inhumane situation and atrocities then these activists purspose is well served. Politicians have to be pushed to ensure that there is appropriate budget to help these people. Their national government has to be pushed to end the atrocities in their country. If there is enough pressure from other neighboring counties like us then their government will be forced to act upon it. We don’t need to be a rich country to help, that’s for sure. Help can be in so many forms. I live in a third world country, hey, we are on the verge of Tiger economy if not for incessant corruption. Here in the Philippines, the poor people are marginalized. Our government’s business is to destroy each one’s character. I’m not poor but certainly not rich. I’m a working class pinoy. Pinoy’s like me who generate income for this country. Our country is abundant in natural resources and yet most of our government income comes from taxes and remittances from overseas workers. It’s frustrating, some of us just feel jaded because no matter who sits or what form of government we take there’s hardly a change. As a citizen of the USA, I just want to assure people on here that we didn’t all vote for George W. Bush in the last election, and looking at his current approval rating, there are many more who wish they hadn’t. And I think AJ makes a very valid point: As the richest country in the world, the USA has the money and resources to provide for all of its own citizens and also help other countries who don’t have as much and need the help. The problem is that the people who decide what to do with said resources do not always vote on distribution that would benefit the people who need it most. Where are these resources going? Where is the money going? I look at my paystub and say, "Where are my taxes going?" Citizens of the USA need to realize that we are the ones who put people in office to make these decisions for us, and they are supposed to vote based on what the majority wants. That is not happening. Therefore, it is our right to NOT elect the same people over and over again. But I think most citizens don’t educate themselves enough on politics to know that they are unwittingly supporting the decisions being made by NOT being vocal about what they want. There is a lot of controversy in our country right now, and I really hope something positive comes of all this. I DO NOT support war, have not since day one, and I can see how others would look at the USA as a big bully.
