Angelina Jolie on The Today Show
Ann Curry :: In what seems to be the middle of no where, on the edge of Namibia in Southern Africa. A very pregnant Angelina Jolie emerged from her private family vacation to speak on behalf of children in poor countries who don’t get to go to school. What is the worst, in your mind, of that?
Angelina Jolie :: God, there are just so many things. It’s really that thought of the potential of a human being. The lack of education causes death. More children die under the age of 5 when the parents aren’t educated. More people get AIDS when they haven’t had an education. Statistics prove that if every child was in school, every year, 700,000 less people would get AIDS.
AC :: It seems also, for you, kind of a personal thing. You have two children you’ve adopted. Both of you whom might have been in this same circumstance of not being able to get educated. And when you look at them and realize that…
AJ :: I look at them and just think, especially my daughter and how many millions of kids are out of school in her country. Especially girls. And I know how families with AIDS when parents die of AIDS, there’s no possible way that children can make a school fee. There’s no possible way she would have gone to school. And she is so smart and so strong. Her potential as a women one day is great. You multiply her by thousands and that is the thing that I can so clearly see when I look at her. Maddox — the amount of street children in his country… in all probability Maddox would have probably been one of the kids going the garbage picking in the streets. He would have been on his own.
AC :: It must mean much to you, as a human being, to be able to give them an opportunity they never would have gotten.
AJ :: I’m happy for them that they’re gonna have all this education and I hope, with it, they do some good things. That they’re good people. [giggles]

# 177 | schaudenfraude |My favorite is #9Always respond as if you are winning the argument.ROTFLMAO
#172 LilyanThank you for posting those articles and your analysis of "Freedom of the Press vs. (Privacy) Jolie-Pitt situation." I am not a scholar so I won’t even attempt to give you an answer to your complex question. However, let me point out that there is quite a difference between (i) covert journalism exposing atrocities in an unjust & oppress country vs. (ii) the right to take a picture of a pregnant actress on vacation with her family. The difference is one is to expose the truth and fight injustice the other is to sell magazines and make a profit. The later is bordering on harassment and terrorisms. As for the tactics of the Namibian authorities and the security guards you are right, I would be upset if they did this. I don’t agree with searching people’s homes and confiscating their cameras. I think that Angie and Brad’s intention in releasing the statement is to protect themselves and personal space as far as the hotel where they are staying. IMO, they wouldn’t condone such behaviors. They have always been very gracious and understanding of the paparazzis wanting to take their pictures.
Masallah, I agree, but now we have to say Inshallah for a very healty baby. Which country BTW, I’m originally from Turkey. You know I haven’t been logging on or posting alot lately, but I don’t remember seeing your screen name. If you are fairly new welcome to JJ’s mini UN from all over the world who loves the BAMZ family. If you have been around and I didn’t notice it sorry, nice to meet you, hi there :)*************Yes guli I agree with you about a Healthy baby; May Allah bestow on her goodly and healthy baby; verily he is the hearer of All Prayers.Oh, by the way I’m from the neighbouring country where baby Z is from and its people look like mine. Guess?
# 167 | cindy2I didn’t reply your comment Re: FF on the former thread (even forgot which!) Just went over there for 15 minutes and hacked dead woods. There are just a few BAMZ supporters there. I feel the desperation in hater’s tones–the end is nearing as even they know Aniston will be disappearing, but boy are they vicious….I really don’t know if I would just provoke them or I should retaliate. Probably former since it’s truly a waste of time.
I knew the trolls would be out in force after her interview. I had no idea there would be 4 threads. I thought I’d have some fun. Anyway, ugly people don’t look in mirrors–so I doubt the trolls will see themselves in my post. But it was so much damn fun to write!
#177 & #188 …BRILLIANT… Are you taking applications….I have few leads/candidates I can send your way. You are going to love them. I am sure you have met them before and are familiar with their work. Just let me know….
# 189 | Cinnabana For a registration fee of $100.00 and monthly payments of $250.00, I’ll send personal posting instructions by e-mail and the JJ website. I’m registered with PayPal.
# 178 | guliHiya back, guli. I caught your message scrolling through. As African Girl said, it’s like playing hide-and-seek with each other with the many threads today. Just finished with the People magazine one. Have to step away for a moment but will catch up with this thread from where I left off.
# 184 | Lola | you know I had to go back to #9 cause at this hour the memory of mine sort of goes in to the snooze mode :), But I agree #9 is a winner. It is really frustrating when they give no facts but spurt out horrible tales with nothing in facts to back it up with. Instead, they get in to the sooth-sayer mode,. They keep on saying there is no way they will last, it’s doomed etc…OK lets just wait and see!!! So far the score is :Realists (BAMZ fans) = 4Nay-sayers (JA fans)= 0BTW- no bookie allowed!
# 184 | Here we go | OK you are going to make me take out the friggin world map, now I know US, Europe and Middle East by heart. But jeez Africa ans far East not so good. So Guli will study tonight and reply to you tomorrow and if I lose, welll I’ll think of away of paying my debt:)
We truly love Angelina. Not to forget Brad & the kids. We watched the interview & she was simply gorgeous. Keep up the good work Angie. We’re all behind you all the time!

Wow, what a sight to behold, she’s like a baby mommy, she’s very beautiful, Thank you JJ for the pictures, you make my day complete.
This interview is one of her big poses my friends. Her speak doesn’t look natural, like her looks (without make-up etc.). But one thin I like about this interview. She and Brad are accepted as a couple. They deserve that. It is great when you believe in love. They fight against whole world to prove their love.I am sorry (not really sorry) for Jen, but people do marry for different reasons.
