Tomb Raider 3 Rumors

Jolie has not signed on for Tomb Raider 3 and has no plans to play video-game heroine Lara Croft any time soon.
Pitt is not trying to convince Jolie to join the cast of Ocean’s 13. (Sorry, George.)
Jolie is not looking to adopt a Namibian infant – at least not right now.
• The actress is not planning a "water birth" for the couple’s baby-to-be, or to name the baby Africa.
Jolie’s ill mom, Marcheline Bertrand, is not near death and did not ask Jolie to give birth in France as a "dying wish."
Pitt did not purchase for Jolie a "fidelity necklace" as a pre-baby wedding gift. In fact they currently have no plans to marry.
• Finally, Jolie is not planning to buy a small African nation of her own.

People reports, "What is it about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt that inspires such tall and twisted tales? The power couple lies low in Namibia, setting the record straight on the most widely circulated myths."

369 - I think that Brad and Angie, had a commitment ceremony as well. And although, I would love a wedding, it may never come to pass, I just hope they stay together for the duration, Angelina deserves this true love that Brad is giving to her. I am so happy for her. She is one of the sweetest women, that I now of.

# 380 | lookwhaticando | The People article said they have no plans of marrying and I can so relate. I was married once and it didn’t work out for me. Now I am with the man I had 3 kids with.We are happy and have been for a loooooong time, we never got "married". We both feel that it is in everyday we wake up we know we have the freedom to make another choice. No contract binds our love or committment. We are always free and that is important for both of us. We can look at eachother and know we both chose to stay together……not because we our contracted to.# 381 | African Girl | 5 pretty Angelina/Zahara scarfs!!

Re Education:I think most [not all, but most] schools in the US are set up to succeed. Why do so many fail? IMHO, parents really have the most to do with it. If the parents really believe that education is paramount and support the school system, the kids have a much better chance of success. This includes not trying to "excuse" your kid when they screw up, and supporting the disciplinary actions of the school system. Not pulling them out early to go on "vacation" every break, getting assignments and MAKING them do it when they are out for any length of time. When they are little, READ, READ, READ to and with them! There are libraries accessable to most, you don’t need to buy them! I work in an upper-middle class town. A lot of the kids drive nicer cars than I do [and really, does a senior in HS NEED to drive a Saab?], but there are outlying farm areas too. Some of these kids, even today are virtually illiterate. Some of this is birth defects [I would happily kill a woman who used drugs - esp. crack/cocaine while pregnant, and the drinkers aren't much better], but some of this is just plain "it’s hard I don’t want to." Some of this is the education system’s fault too. In NY currently, the plan is that "every student can get a Regent’s diploma" Bull shite! They keep threatening to take away the "local" diploma [for those who can't meet Regent's standards] which would leave kids with an IEP [individualized education plan] which currently is what handicapped kids usually get. The education system has to get it’s head out of it’s a**, stop living in Ivory Towers and come and see what real teachers are dealing with. My sister in law works in a small city. Her 8th grade GIRLS are usually competing to see who can get pregnant first! Obviously waiting until High School to discuss sex is too late. Some of these kids have no role models at all - or none that we would wish them to follow. If you are a parent with a few free hours a day, VOLUNTEER in your schools! Especially when your kids are little - it shows that you value what happens in their day.Off the soapbox……because otherwise, I’ll never stop!

# 388 | angelah | Hey cutie….Was that you on J2 MS…? City girl?# 391 | Original Curious As always……right ON !! That teenage education especially with the sex ed is a Biggy for me…… more states need to require education and health clinics in their Highschools.

Original CuriousYeah, what it boil down is Parental Involvment. Honestly, they way some parents carry on, it’s as if they believe the teachers are magician. What irks me is when they get upset that their children aren’t doing well in school. The question I’m always itching to ask is "how many hours did you spend with your child….doing homework, just reading?" Nooooo, just pluck them down in front of the TV, afterall it is the new mom & dad, babysitter, teacher (re: sex wise). I’m not surprised that 8th graders are having babies, afterall that’s what their TV counterparts are doing. The shows geared toward children are just amazing, just the other, my nieces were watching this show, I was in the other room and when I heard the things they were saying, I yelled at them "what are you watching? You better change that to Disney channel" and they replied "it is on Disney Channel" You could have knocked me down with a feather. Fine, let’s even say we can’t control what is being put on TV but we can control what they watch. I have a passion for reading and bothers me that no one reads anymore. These kids today, see it as a punishment, only willing to read the minimum requirement….barely that even. I guess the internet isn’t helping much…..oh like you, I could go on forever but I better get off my soap box too. Sorry guys, didn’t mean to bring down the party.

# 391 | Original Curious -(((((clapping)))))), you are right…parent needs to be involve..but like AJ said, we need to educate both the children and the parent as well, that is why she is so dedicate to education….you are right about our educational system, the children in the US are falling behind children in China, India and Japan. It was on 20/20 or something. China and India produces more scientist, engineer than the US…both male/female….we are far behind, our school system concentrate so much on the passing of basic English exam, not pushing math, science projects…and of course, the art and music are practically gone from most of the school program…so sad….my sister told me that in public school, each child is worth less than $85 cent, ( last year it was $1.00)/ per day. Last week, I took my lunch time and went to my niece’s school to have lunch with her, the school lunch program for low income student is .25 cent per student, on that day, one of my niece’s friend bought her lunch , and I saw she had a hand full of stale chips and a small amount of cheese on top with a small milk or juice….my god, this child ate her lunch and she is still hungry .I was feeling so sad the whole day…thinking omg we spend so little money on this country future generation and so much on everything else….

PHIL ANTHROPISt @ 05/04/2006 at 7:32 pm

#391: Formal, state-run education should not be the only opportunity for education for our kids. Unfortunately, many parents treat the school as they do their televisions…a pleasant diversion of their children’s attention so that they, as adults don’t have to be too engaged with their children. The public education system is overwhelmed and undernoursished. Parents are running on the hamster wheel to meet the demands of our consumer society. Work, acquire, work, acquire. Kill the television set and then engage in a conversation with your children…there are plenty of things to talk about that areoccuring in the world. Our own limited perception of life puts our comfort at a premium and forces us into complacency. Our children will learn more from observation than what they are told. If they see a parent who is interested in their education and willing to supplement the institution with tradition, culture and art, we have a chance to reverse the apathy our children and excite them about learning and discovering the world around them.

# 391 | Original CuriousMy daughter is still 5 but I already worry—grant you it’s my nature to worry :) but seriously my husband (French) has a fit every now and then "Let’s move back to France" when the subject of school comes up. He thinks the lower school education is much better there. But he is dead-set on sending them to University in the US (that’s what he did himself).

African Girl @ 05/04/2006 at 7:34 pm

Moi Jade5 Scarves….hmmm, tempting very tempting. Let me mull over your offer….for a few. I’ll be right back….well maybe not right back but I’ll be back. Family night at my Neicesl school. If you’re gonna preach involvment you better practice it too….lolTwo Hours Tops.

# 393 | African Girl |What party doesn’t have it’s conversations of very important issue?I love reading too……..my father never let us watch TV growing up….only on weekends. We had to always use our imagination and analytical skills to even try to figure out how to without getting caught. We were always outside……building forts and playing hop scotch and chinese jump rope……catching firefly. I thank him all the time now for that.

# 221 | Original jpf : That was an absolutely awesome post! "He’s a feeling man. He says he embraces the messiness of life, but I also believe he embraces love, and when it’s the real thing, he does so passionately. It’s my heartfelt belief he thought he’d never experience love like he once had again until Angelina came along, and what he feels "according to his actions" seems to have even trumped what he and Gwyneth Paltrow shared." I also think that unlike X, Angelina challenges him - in positive ways. If he tries to BS his way out of something, she’s gonna call him on it. I don’t think X did that. I think he’s probably happier that he’s been in years, and laughing a lot [non hormonally induced].# 262 | justathough: Did you believe JA and Brad were in love? They may have loved each other, but, the "in love" part of their lives was long gone. Yet, due to PDA on their vacation, the tabs were full of "saving their marriage" kinds of things days before they announced their separation! Remember, ACTIONS speak louder than words. Does the fact they haven’t been apart more than 3 or 4 days in a year say nothing? I think they’ve been pretty clear that their PRIVATE life is just that - private - and they will NOT be acting it out on the red carpet for our approval!# 276 | kk : Another insightful post. "Brad does not outshine Angie in the way he always overshadowed his X, they are equals, and I agree with Time mag choice of them as a "Power Couple". I think this will be essential to their relationship. That, and staying out of the Hollywood glare.# 316 | Be sane : I work in Special Ed in a public school. Early intervention is SO important! One of my favorite kids is one I work with in the summer who is autistic. He’s now in 2nd grade, and smarter than smart. I’ve worked with him the last 3 summers. I’m usually in the High School - which is where autistic kids really start to see how different they are - regardless of their intelligence. imho, that is one of the most heartbreaking times. My sister in law’s nephew is autistic and in 9th grade - another smart one, she is a teacher and has worked with him for years to keep him on track educationally. Just my opinion, but the autistics I’ve worked with are usually my favorites!# 322 | Eyes : where is this supposed post? I see no new posts on the usual space.# 338 | Aniston Team : I hope you aren’t pregnant - drugs are dangerous for babies. Are you having fun playing with heads? Is that how you get your rocks off? Sad really.thank you all for reading my rant on education. I read to our daughter all the time and she taught herself to read before school did because of that.OC

Rastagirl live up!!!! Where’s my HEINEKEN? HMMMM? Dress in white? I’m thirsteeeeeeee!:p Good One to all BAMZ+1 fans.
