I don’t think either one of them wants the added attention of a public wedding, so they got married in private and as far as they’re concerned it’s nobody else’s business. If they did get married, I imagine they told their immediate families and that’s it. And who could blame them if they did? Who wants to hear about the X’s Pity Party Over Their Marriage? New Era (Windhoek)May 3, 2006Posted to the web May 3, 2006Petronella SibeeneWindhoekThe Ministry of Environment and Tourism has added its voice to the controversy surrounding the high-profile celebrity Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and her lover Brad Pitt currently resorting at Langstrand at the coast.In a statement issued last Friday, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Tourism Leon Jooste said the two visitors had at no point influenced the action taken against foreign journalists who invaded their privacy.Last week, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting similarly issued a strongly worded warning against any journalist or photographer trying to intrude on the private lives of the Hollywood scouple.The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Loine Katoma urged foreign journalists entering the country with the express purpose to cover Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to apply for a temporary work permit "accompanied by proof of consent that the couple had agreed to meet with them".The statement was released after the Immigration Department deported three French paparazzi and a South African photojournalist who were following the couple. The group was given 48 hours to leave the country."I want to specifically clear the abundance of unnecessary speculation regarding this situation surrounding our valued guests. Neither Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt nor any member of their party initiated any of the action taken by the relevant authorities," Jooste stated.The deportations by the Immigration Department brought about mixed feelings by a local human rights group that viewed the action as a serious infringement of the freedom of the media.The National Society for Human Rights added that the right to privacy is only "allowed on the grounds of inter alia national security, public safety or the economic well-being of the country".Despite this stance, the deputy minister said the two visitors are both renowned for their promotion of human rights globally and being a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, Angelina Jolie would never be part of any action that would possibly be perceived as violating any form of human rights.He said the sudden presence of an unusual large number of foreign journalists as well as the scale of ‘harassment’ from the media was simply obvious that it would come under the attention of the Government which due to circumstances was forced to take the necessary steps to restore a normal situation."I do not believe that any fundamental human rights of any person was violated during this process," he reiterated.Regarding the foreign press, the deputy minister invited them to come to Namibia on condition that they comply with the relevant regulations and provisions."We, the entire population of 1,8 million Namibians are playing host to these kind people and it is our wish that they enjoy the same benefits and privileges as any other visitor come as strangers and leave as friends."Meanwhile, Police Chief Inspector Hieronymus Goraseb in a statement has refuted allegations by the NSHR that police are conducting a Nazi-like house-to-house search for journalists, adding that the allegation has no substance.He indicated that the presence of the police at Lang-strand is rather mainly to perform crime prevention duties to avoid offences and harassment, invasion of privacy, crimen injuria, violation of visa requirements by foreign journalists and trespassing.The police were deployed to the area after the couple requested them and immigration to stop the alleged harassment by local and international media."The members will continue to perform their duties until when their presence is no longer required by the couple and the management of the hotel," indicated the chief inspector.

Once he realizes in a year he acquired 2 kids and one on the way and all the headaches that entails - IN ONE YEAR! Not normal! That movie gets better and better the more you see it. I saw it for the first time in the theatre, and to be honest, didn’t get it at all, although it was completely worth it to see Brad, etc. The second time, over a year later and many M&MS-blog-posts-under-my-belt-later, I now enjoy the movie in a whole new light–as a metaphor for marriage.

I was ROTFLMAO because that’s the exact same thing I say to myself every September when a new semester starts at the university where I work. I am absolutely amazed at how sheltered some of the graduate students who come into our office have been. These kids are used to having their hands held in their undergrad departments or by their parents. When we have orientation the first thing I tell them is, "I do not have time to fix problems with your personal computers. You may not put your personal laptop on the network. Do NOT come to me with hardware or software problems that are not related to the machine assigned to you by the department." One kid actually said to me, "But, but…in the biology area program (undergrad studies) the computer tech always fixed my laptop when I had a problem." My reply was, "Well, Toto, you’re not in Kansas anymore. Welcome to the big leagues. I don’t have time to babysit students. I have FACULTY to babysit." Aniston Team, I agree with the consensus that you are quite a sad case of someone unable to move on. You may not actually understand this but despite the sometimes adoring tone used by fans here in Just Jared, most of the BAMZ’s fans are quite realistic and will not get personally wounded about Brad and Angelina breaking up, if they do. Most BAMZ fans here understand that there is a difference between projection of their own fantasy on to the blank screen of celebrity and the reality. We may project on to BAMZ the happy family but are aware that it is only our projections of our fantasy. We would like our fantasy to be true, especially because these are lovely fantasies - happy family, love with a soulmate, working towards worthwhile humanitarian goals but we are very aware that we actually DON’TKNOW the truth of Brad and Angelina’s reality. We are very aware that the tabloids are full of bullshit.Aniston fans such as yourself don’t seem to see the reality. The reality is that you DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED in the marriage or the divorce except what Aniston, Pitt and Jolie have actually said. If you don’t actually know the reality (and you cannot know because the triangle have not revealed much) then any details you add to the story are just your projections/fantasies - which in your case appears to be, that Jolie is a homewrecker, Pitt made a giant mistake and will come to his senses and Aniston is the victimised wife whose husband is temporarily missing in action.Sadly for you aniston fans as well as BAMZ antifans (and I’m aware I may be dealing with 2 different species), your fantasies are either sad and/or ugly. What sort of sick people are you when even your fantasies are filled with bitterness, revenge, and anger? Do you really think that Brad Pitt has gone through all the hell heaped on him in the past year to be with Angie, to have filed to adopt Mad and Z (earliest it can be finalized is six months so sometime in June at the earliest), to have his first bio child born within the next couple of weeks, to just forget all this to reunite with X? What are you smoking? He has not left Angie and the kids for more than a few days at a time since last year. Angie and Brad moved heaven and earth to be together last year while in Canada, New York, and California for their films. Just imagine how much they paid for the jets to travel back and forth. Brad and Angie have bonded and formed a "for real family". BP is where he wants to be. X is with VV. Okay, I am back again. Woke up, and needed some entertainment to get me back to sleep. :-) Hello and thank you Moi Jade, African Girl, Be Sane, Estelle, Jjoy, Angelah, and all!Be Sane, we got married in our church here in Florida. (Yep, I’m a Floridian) We met in our church single’s group – the first couple to marry in that group, that they joked if they can use us for advertisement. Hahaha!! Not a very big wedding – 70 people, but all the works, lotsa food in the reception and dancing. It turned out to be lots of fun. Too darn late for not gaining weight! I was so stressed that I became an emotional eater, and coming to Jared’s to just not think of what I should be doing. Yes, Jared your blog, has been my salvation of a nervous breakdown or insomnia. Hahaha!! Yep, we had lots of things going at the same time, building a new house, and selling our respective dwellings. Why? Too long to discuss here, but it’s just what makes sense to us to really make a ‘fresh’ start. Needed the name change, because I’ve been dragging my ex’s last name due to our son. Plus, this is my hubby’s first marriage and no doubt, he will want me to carry his name. And yes, if what you you’ve heard in the grapevine that Angelina will change her last name to Jolie-Pitt, that would be a very nice gesture to give to Brad. That would erase all doubts that wedding or no wedding, she is committed to him. Estelle, no honeymoon for now - not enough $$$ due to house construction cost. However, new hubby’s friend will let us have a condo he managed by the beach for a weekend. Plus hubby promised me a cruise for our 1st anniversary. Not Namibia, but it will do. African Girl, that is so sweet of you to want to give me bridal shower. I am so flattered. Now if you can only help me convince my new hubby that we get a new couch and that he get rid of some of his junk paraphernalia collection. :D Okay, I know I need to be very careful how I say these stuff, as he can be very sensitive.
