# 2020 | Tijen |I am so sorry to hear about your tooth, I had a root canal done about 6 months ago, it wasn’t fun. Cok gecmis olsun. I am getting very excited. I have quite a few friends and relatives there, just called them so that they can open up the house for us and have it cleaned. Tijen actually I bought my house about 8 years ago for 30K, so thats not bad, but I had to put in all the appliances,kitchen cabinets,A/C, landscapping etc. So It does add up. But, I did it gradually. Last years investment were my two satalite dishes (what would I if I can’t get my US channels :)) I’ve been going to Bodrum for the last 10 summers and absolutely love it. When we heard that Forbes was going to have our beloved AJ on the cover almost everyone was eagerly waiting for the issue to come out. I go to many blogs and especially justjared has many members. I hate to say it, but you blew it!!! After, your article was posted at justjareds, I doubt that anyone will by this issue. You were doing fine until your last paragraph, man did you muck up big time. I thought Forbes was a reputable magazine, but what you posted really belongs in National Enquirer. By ending a wonderful article with such a negative note, you turned off all of their fans.As a scientist I tend to work with facts. As an avid reader of more sophisticated and non bias tabloid publications, I was looking forward to an article that presented the work of Angelina Jolie in a true to light presentation of her role as a UNHCR Ambassador , and her work with important issues in Washington. To most of your readers I believe those issues are what lay important in our minds, outside the Hollywood gossips and tabloid extravaganza news reporting.I have to say that Matthew Swibbel , for the most part had a good and reputable article going for your magazine until the last paragraph. His concluding statement quoting Chris Ann Keehner : "It gives a member of Congress a photo op, and it’s a way to get the message out–even if she did break up a marriage." just about summed it up, NOT for Angelina Jolie, but for Forbes magazine.What kind of writer initially focusing the readers towards important bills being passed in Washington DC, the UNHCR reputable organization on behalf of the United Nations and dependent children, turn the table at the end of the article with a quote of a Senate "staffer" who by all accounts is a gossip horde , and makes an accusation that presents a validation by your magazine, that Angelina Jolie broke up a marriage? Are we the readers suppose to now believe anything you guys write as fact?Is Forbes just sinking to a tabloid gosip trash mentality to boost sales? Appears to be so, sirs/madam. Angelina Jolie’s presence on your cover appears to be more of a tabloid competition angst for gossip sales than a magazine that reports valid and accurate reporting.I have to say, it is very disappointing that a magazine I once considered a reputable publication, has lost my support and my future desire to purchase your magazine. I truly hope in the future that your quest for a higher rank in magazines sales doesn’t have to forgo it’s own standards to keep in the tabloid race. By writing speculation and unfounded truths not proven is unethical and cheap. Not so good for a magazine that promotes itself for the quality of business and finances your history honors itself on. Here is what I sent: (I’ll post it on the other thread as well)To whom it may concern:Please take note that the presentation of your article on Angelina Jolie’s article "Getting Serious with Angelina Jolie" was distasteful due to the inclusion of a Senate staffer’s personal opinion regarding "Angelina breaking up a marriage." Promoting this kind of media speculation and blatant disrespect based on tabloid speculation is nonsense reporting that leaves the reader doubting any authenticty of facts in your magazine. Ending your article by a quote from a Senate staffer on Miss Jolie’s unproven, speculative at best, accusation of breaking up a marriage was in very poor taste. These tasteless remarks are irresponsible journalism and reflect very poorly on the image that Forbes has previously upheld. I’d be surprised if your article does not turn off many readers who would otherwise buy and support your publications. Please consider withdrawing the defamitory statement regarding Miss Jolie and her relationship with Mr. Pitt before you lose many subscribers, including myself, my family and my colleagues.Sincerely,
