Also on offer from the Indian camp is Jagmohan Mundhra’s Aishwarya Rai starrer, Provoked (also co-stars Lost’s Naveen Andrews) based on the real-life story of a battered Indian woman who ended up killing her abusive husband in Britain a few years ago. Aishwarya, a Cannes regular by virtue of being one of the brand ambassadors of French cosmetics giant L’Oreal, has already registered her presence here. She sashayed up the red carpet in an off-the-shoulder gown, with Hollywood actress Andie MacDowell for company, on the opening night. She is scheduled to stay on for the special market screening festival of Provoked later in the festival.
Bollywood bombshell Aishwarya Rai, 32, is also set to star in two upcoming films in English — Singular (2006) alongside Brendan Fresar and Chaos (2007) alongside Meryl Streep. Am not indian, pakistani or those, but i like aishwarya and bollywood is great! Btw, Aishwarya is too good for hollywood… There are many good films in bollywood too, they have to work with the Action a lil bit, but everyrhing else is fine, the acting is good and the moviers are very good… **** the haters! the achievements of Ash is astounding and absolutely amazing and only befits a woman of her calibre. God really did break the mold when he created Ash and thank you God for creating her!

Are you serious? You can’t be. I think you need to get a grip on reality and set higher standards for yourself. This Rai woman is thriving on people’s low self esteem. I know I could care less if people don’t like people I’m a fan of. And at the same time I would never elevate anyone to the status of which this woman has been.., even if they were truly beautiful. For example, she is a gift from god, she is perfection. Oh, hell no. I reserve my worship for God. Omg this woman is so not beautiful. She literally cakes herself with makeup. without makeup she looks like crap. She also had her smile fixed, her cheek bones done and she got a nose job. She is incredibly fake and very very plastic and not to mention very very arrogant and rude. My husband (we are from India) once organized a show in Houston where she was supposed to appear. She was supposed to do a photoshoot for the promos of the show. She came an hour late and then she left in mid shoot saying that the camera was annoying her. She should not even be allowed out in public.
I totally believe you about her arrogance and behavior. What I don’t understand is if she supposedly had all this surgery done, I would think she would look better than this. Is that all there is? Don’t know why people go ga ga over her. Pretty, that’s it. Not even very pretty. Good for her that people do, I guess.
personally i dont find ash or angelina that special. they have too much going on w. their face; massive lips, big eyes, and exaggerated cheekbones… i think girls with softer features are prettier like Cobie Smulders (from how i met your mother), kristin davis, or this indian actress Katrina Kaif…
