Brad Pitt Riding Bicycle With Maddox and Zahara

Brad Pitt Riding Bicycle With Maddox and Zahara

Dad-to-be Brad Pitt gets saddled with the kids–and loves every minute.  The actor went on a fun bike ride with partner Angelina Jolie’s adopted children in Africa.  With 16-month-old Zahara strapped safely to his back he watched with pride as Maddox, age four, rode next to him on a tiny bike with [training wheels] and a red crash helmet.  Brad, 42, is in Namibia with Angelina, 30, who is due to give birth to their first child together any day now.  But despite the nervous wait he seemed totally relaxed as he cycled in the bright sun.

Looks like Brad’s getting a handle (wink, wink) on being a dad!  Bigger scans of the pictures from UK’s News Of The World newspaper in the gallery.  Thanks, Stef!

# 390 | Alexanderina Yeah, I figured that out…albeit a little late. The mental Institute must have let out early today.

to aAfrican Girl and others, I did not mean to post twice in the beginning. I don’t know why my post posted twice. I am not a Brad and Angie basher. That back carrier Zahara is riding in on his back is not safe and she and Brad should have a safety helmet on.Taking the ToddlersIf you have one or more toddlers that you’d like to take along for the ride, there are two options for safely carrying your toddler. Trailers are a great way to allow your toddler to safely tag along behind you. Trailers are attached to the back of your bicycle and normally can carry two children. There are many convenient safety features that make trailers appealing to parents, such as the cover flaps which protect the children from flying objects. Some trailers have removable weather covers as well. Trailers are designed to remain upright even if the bicycle wrecks or flips. The bicycle balance is usually not affected by the trailer, which is an added benefit for new riders. There are two disadvantages to using a trailer. First, trailers can be quite expensive, especially when it offers all the safety features. Secondly, trailers have a very bumpy ride for the child. The bumpy ride might be fine for a child with no health problems, but hazardous if a child does have certain conditions. If you plan to do frequent bicycle trips with your toddler, a trailer might be the best route.Another option for toddlers is the child carrier seat, which mounts to either the front or back of the bicycle. The most popular seats attach to the rear because most parents feel that having the child behind them is more secure. The greatest advantage of a carrier seat is the closeness of the child to the parent. There are some dangers of carrier seats, such as the imbalance it causes, and new bikers will probably not want to attempt using a carrier with their child for this reason. No matter which option you choose, always follow common bike safety rules such as wearing a helmet (both you and your children), keeping good maintenance on the bicycle so it will be in top condition when riding, and making sure the carrier or trailer is properly and tightly attached. Also, beware of placing any loose items in the hands of your child while riding. A blanket could easily fall and get caught in your spokes, causing a wreck. Toys or sipping cups can also be a hazard. It’s best not to allow the child to hold anything while riding. If you carry along a drink for your child, stop along the side of the road while the child drinks.

oookaaay, totally random. I really did not post that comment again; I did refresh my browser awhile back before the comment posted, so I suppose it got sent again……6 minutes later O_o

# 398 | angelahHey thanks! Finally I get to go shoes shopping for my size–I can’t find anything in the US (35 European, 6 1/2 US). It’s better for me to get some work done in the hotel room–keeps the money-damage low LOL

No hard feelings, no whining and Please for the love of God, don’t throw any pity party….we still trying to get over one. With a very heartbroken but Decisive HeartAG

That is SO not a safe way to have a baby on a bike. IMO

COLD HARD MATH @ 05/22/2006 at 12:33 pm

Morning All!And we wait……..Regarding the helmet debate:You know how much I HEART this family, but if this was Britney, she would be getting so MUCH **** now if she did the same thing. Actually Brad should have a helmet on too. That’s all I have to say………KEEP ON ROCKIN BAMZ!WAITING INPATIENTLY, PLUS ONE!

well COLD HARD MATH they are in the long beach in a private area, no peoople, no cars…about cannes: BRAD PITT was invited to the festival to debut his new movie, ‘Babel,’ but he declined. It seems like he will remain in Africa to be with ANGELINA JOLIE as they wait for the birth of their baby.

After all the posts re Zahara not wearing a helmet - she is ok. Just as the majority of us are who when we were young rode our bikes helmet-less. I would also like to add that I am a mother of 5 who never owned a stair protector(?) (is that what they are called?) - never had locks fitted to cupboards and never bought helmets for my kids (mainly because they weren’t all the rage like they are now). Brad and Angie are doing just fine as parents - accidents happen to kids usually in the most freakish of ways and no helmet will usually be enough to protect them. Teach them awareness and protect them as much as you can - thats the best a parent can hope for.BRANGELINA ROCKS!!

Brad da dorky dad @ 05/22/2006 at 12:39 pm

Brad looks like SUCH a dork. I have seen it all now! Thank you jj for the very very dorky dad on his dorky bike with his dorky kids

JensMOMisHOMELESS @ 05/22/2006 at 12:42 pm

Excuse me #414….but from what I can see they are surrounded by sand, and Z is in a restraint that protects her neck and head - they don’t make helmets that small…plus, as far as we know they are going 2 miles an hr. The only people who are comparing this to Britney whizzing along with her baby unrestrained in a car seat folded over like he’s dead weight, or on her lap in a moving automobile or getting dropped on his head out of his high chair…are Maniston fans…give it up, stop dissing the adorable pic of fine Brad and HIS CHILDREN, and just identify yourselves. Then go back to discussing how great your hero looks with her hair completely covering that mug of hers.

you are idiots @ 05/22/2006 at 12:43 pm

African girl I must stick up for idiots. You are the one with no life or brains here. You post over and over and over and over and over and over and over again……..really truly sickening……Now shut up and stick a sock in it

# 419 | you are idiots | May 22, 2006 12:43 PM African Girl can post over and over her on this blog as much as she wants. She is a valued, funny, and very educated Brangelina fan. She debates very intelligently, is a very funny writer and I can spend hours lurking here and reading up her posts and not mind a bit. You, on the other hand, probably read her posts too but rather than appreciate it you fume about it and tell her to shut up. You should be the one to STFU. You contribute nothing of value to this or any other thread.

# 418 | JensMOMisHOMELESS | Thank you…. we are on the 5th page and people are still going on and on about this… just enjoy the f’ing pic and if u are not fans, there are a thousand other pic u can enjoy… enough with the "not safe sh*t" already

Oh Gosh guys. I forgot to mention they showed Rumor Has It on the plane to Paris!! Actually I did watch it and loved Kostner. He was totally believable as an internet bon vivant millionaire.I said it before and say it again…. It’s SO unfortunate that Aniston feels she needs to showcase her HAIR. It was really distracting since it was very beautiful, almost as if the hair was the star accompanied by her. In many scenes her hair was so much in the way the camera couldn’t get her facial expressions in some crucial scenes. I also liked Mark Ruffalo very much. Also the actor who played her dad (name?) was very touching. But overall, not even Aniston, but I think her HAIR ruined the film.

Original Curious @ 05/22/2006 at 12:56 pm

Can we please stop the helmet debate? Those of us who are old enough learned how without them, and those of us young enough to never be without see the world differently. I belong in the first group. My daughter always had one, and took it off as soon as she was out of my sight. They are fine!On the other hand…..as I was scanning through the silliness, did I read that you were with BRAD African Girl!????? [rolfmao] Heck I’d ditch my undies too. Was that supposed to be an insult or the dream fulfillment? Silly people

Murphys law @ 05/22/2006 at 1:04 pm

The helmet to me is defiantly not an issue. Zahara is safely strapped in. They all look great.
