Clay Aiken Impersonator: Michael Sandecki
SOUL PATROL!!!!!!! Salt and pepper haired soul singer Taylor Hicks, 29, from Birmingham, Alabama, was crowed the fifth season American Idol winner last night as expected. Host Ryan Seacrest mentioned that "an astounding 63.4 million votes" were cast, "more than any President in this country has ever received." Many more pictures from the finale in the gallery!

I really want Kat to win but kinda knew that Taylor will win this. Anyway, I think Kat will do better in album sales coz’ she is so talented and sellable!
Taylor’s seriously like a drunk uncle at a wedding. Whatever, everyone predicted he’d win cause of Tuesday, but yeah. Kat’s gonna sale so much better. And she’s hotter. Much hotter. Maybe a broadway show will snag her.
I liked Carrie Underwood. She did a great job last night. She has come a long way since last year.

i hate taylor’s voice, i’m so sorry. he has a nice tone and texture to his voice, but he has such a small range and he’s always flat. it’s just too painful. he seems like a really nice, humble guy, though.is it just me, or does clay seem like a total chickenhawk in this clip?
