CLARA - thanx for the very insightful post. i gues that was somewhat true. people or women in particular would sometimes stereotype other women. maybe that was why when angie was younger she seemed so wild. when you are diffirent, people will view you as dangerous. there are only 2 ways for a ‘different’ person to go either tobe funny or be dark. in angeis’s case she chose dark making her all the more dangerous. in her case i don’t really think she changed. she simply evolved. she is destined for great things and i am glad that a person like brad pitt got that.

Ivy, sorry to butt into your conversation with Alexanderina from last night, but you sound like me growing up. I never went anywhere that wasn’t within a half hour of my home. Then when young, it was about money, then about time. Finally I said, ENOUGH! I want to see the world! And I started doing that with small trips.If you can take your kids to a Motel 6, then you can go on a drive to somewhere for a weekend, like Gatlinburg. The kids will love the motel — find a cheap one with a pool — and make the drive fun, by finding things all along the way to look at and point out. History of the area or stories or whatever. Spend a weekend in Atlanta, or Memphis, listen to music on Beale Street. You don’t have to go to Egypt right away! And you will learn all kinds of things like what to pack and what not to, how to make the most of your time in a strange place, how to sleep in a strange bed. And you will see more of the U.S., which is a big place to see. Then later you can go for a week or more to other places. Eventually, you will get to Egypt, but travel is so much fun, there is no reason to put it off. I hope you have some fun and go to Disney World again and can see other places and meet new people and learn about history and architecture and art and trees and birds and animals in other places. It’s such a great education, for adults and children! YOU GO FOR IT!!!

#250 Cindy2What a great post. THanks for your insights. I agree with Angie just needs to show up and insecure women fall apart and get nasty. And I’m glad to hear you say that you, too, have felt the jealous stabs of so-called friends. I, too, am no beauty, and frankly, like you, there are plenty of times I don’t want to be bothered. I live alone, I value my privacy, and I don’t see the need to have a boyfriend to be "complete". But I am friendly and when I want something, I go for it, and I make my own way in the world. That makes a lot of women nervous. They don’t like that I defy convention by being self-employed, that I date who I want whenever I want, I travel the world, etc. So, yeah, if you were as gorgeous as Angie, I can see women getting mean and calling her a **** just because they see that men look at her and think "sex" whether she has done anything or not, and that it’s difficult to have true friends. I’ve had friends be nasty to me simply because they are overweight and want to blame ME for men not liking their fat asses. Or for taking off for a week to go on a trip while they are chained to a desk, and then they call me irresponsible. Women will tear another woman down faster than a man will, simply because they feel too weak themselves to lift themselves to where they want to be. They would rather gather other similarly self-pitying women around them and have bitchy hen parties instead of making the changes they need to to have what they want in life. That is why I admire Angie and so many of the women on here. There are strong women here, who stand up for themselves and don’t blame the world or other people in it for their circumstances. They might not be ordinary, but that’s what’s so cool about them — they stand above the crowd instead of following it. I admire the women on here, and there is such a marked contrast with the women who are JA fans, who want to have another woman who is weak and weepy as their symbol so they won’t feel so bad about themselves.There will always be those kind of women around,but you know what? There will also be women like PP’s daughter, and you, and others on here who can see past the jealousies and petty behavior of other women and find their own strength and be proud of it.

hey guys, sorry i havent been one in a while, i have had a busy few days! whats new im at work at the mo so finally getting to check in, i had a little scan yesturday but i had a friend round and she wanted to go out, all i wanted to do was chill and chat to you lot, but hey ho! antway have i missed anything big? hope not, i dont want to miss it!i hope this finds you all well! any gossip please inlighten me! i will not be able to log on tonight as it is my grandads 70th birthday party. but be asured i will be back! lol.
