Photogs’ appetites whetted: ‘Most anticipated baby since Jesus‘
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have an entire government on their side in the latest celebrity vs. paparazzi skirmish as they await the birth of their child in seclusion at a resort in Namibia.
The Namibian Embassy in Pretoria tells journalists seeking visas for Namibia to cover the birth of the eagerly awaited celebrity baby that they must have permission from Pitt and Jolie in writing before they will be allowed into the country.
The government, which has seen its profile as a tourist destination increased by the celebrity visit, has arrested photographers, confiscated film, set up large green barriers on the beach to shield the couple and their children Zahara and Maddox, ringed the hotel with heavy security and threatened to expel any journalist trying to cover the birth without the parents’ permission.
"This lady is expecting," Namibian Prime Minister Nahas Angula was quoted as telling South Africa’s Sunday Times last month. "You guys are harassing her. Why don’t you allow her some privacy? Harassment is not allowed in Namibia."

Interest has heightened in recent weeks as photographers anticipated the due date was near. It escalated Tuesday when an e-mail Pitt sent to the Cannes Film Festival and read to reporters there said he was unable to attend because of the baby’s "imminent arrival."
Darryn Lyons, the chairman of Big Pictures, which runs Mr. Paparazzi.com, said in London that the two stars are certain to gain more attention by taking up residence in a poor corner of Africa then they would in the United States.
"I don’t think they could have given the people more of an appetite to see the new creature," said Lyons, referring to the decision to hole up in Namibia. "It is the most anticipated baby since Jesus Christ."
"They would have been more discreet sitting in Malibu," he said. "I don’t know why they’re going to all this ridiculous trouble."
Before Pitt and Jolie took up residence at a luxury hotel on the Namibian coast, the government never required that journalists get permission from private citizens — foreign or otherwise — to obtain a visa.
John Liebengerg, a South African magazine photographer, was arrested Wednesday for a second time in less than a week for trying to take pictures of the couple at a restaurant.
The arrest was condemned by the South African National Editors Forum.
"The forum believes citizens have a right to privacy, however journalists also have a right to be able to do their jobs without unfair hindrance or intimidation," the forum said in a statement.
South Africa’s Sunday Times said last month its own photographer and three French photographers were ordered to leave Namibia or face arrest.
Lyons said he has a team in place in Namibia, but that none of his photographers have been arrested. He added someone — perhaps even the midwife — with a small camera or one built into their mobile phone stood to make a lot of money.
"You could probably buy Namibia with that picture," he said, estimating the first picture of Pitt and Jolie’s baby would be worth $5 million.
Namibia, a country half the size of Alaska, is rich in diamonds and strategic metals, but most of its 1.8 million people are poor. – AP

The photoshoot was done after the Showest appearance for the release of MAMS. The question I have is that Jen claimed that she was still talking to Brad at least for a while, I do not know when the communication completely stopped. I don’t know why she did not talk to him directly instead of talking to VF.

Aren’t the tabloids really just picking on Brad & Angelina because they are possibly the hottest two people around? Brad and Angie probably knew that some would take their donation to the Namibia hospital and schools as paying off the gov’t for their protection but they still let the information be release to the public. They will take the heat as long as the people of Namibia know how thankful they are for allowing them to be in their courtry.Way to go BAMZS

Even those people who interviewd her for magz hinted that she was not against talking about her marriage and the divorce. And now there are even articles saying that VV thinks that X still needs to deal with Brad and Angelina. I truly hope she moves on but right now, she hasn’t. She keeps saying she has many friends to help her and listen to her, but I don’t think she will be satisfied until she writes a 200 page book about this and goes on a promotional tour on the level of which Hollywood and the world has never seen before………………Make that a 500 page book. Why would W magazine photos bother the ex, unless she feels guilty in not doing her wifely duty and lying to her husband for 8 years..talking up the the "I want to have a baby/family with you" bullshit game.This is the timeline: Brad amd Angie co-stared in a movie called Mr & Mrs Smith in 2004, one of the job as co-stars are to do promotional press for the movie. Since they are playing husband and wife…it’s not unreasonable to play that aspect up and W Magazine was the only promotional press they did that played up that aspect. Now, since Brad Pitt is an A-list actor and the #2 guy in Hollywood he has alot of creative contral over his image in his contract. Since he is also one of the leading actor in endorsement he can also has a say in the creative direction of his photos.. He hired the photograher, co-directed the shot and owned the foreign rights to the photos and came up with the idea of the shoot. These things take months in advance to set-up people schedules…normally 3-6 months in advance. Seeing how behind schedule the production of Mr & Mrs Smith this was one of the last items to be completed before Brad left to do Babel.It appears the W Magazine shoot was set-up to do after their apperance at Sho-west in Vegas and the following week they did the W magazine photoshoot in Palm Springs during that holiday weekend.Jennifer Aniston also chose that weekend to file Divorce papers as this is her choice..but since People Magazine was at the W photoshoot, with Cindy G. also there, who was not notified in advance, by JA with her decision to file the divorce papers that weekend. So it was not hard for the media to locate them because some of the media was at the shoot. This is around the end of March..by first week of April the re-shoots for Mr & Mrs. Smith was over. Because this was part of the promotion of MAMS the W magazine was part of the opening week-end of 061005. Pitt idea was to take the year of his birth 1963 and do a photo critic of a disfuctional family falling apart in 1963 the same time the JFK assassination.Since Brad and Angie played a married couple with children…Brad hired the children to represent a 1960 family with 5 childred…4 that looked like Brad and the eldest that looked like Angie.Aniston guilty ass start whinning that the W Magazine was an insult.
I think she filed on that weekend on purpose. She knew she would get a litte more sympathy from the public. She filed while everyone knew he was off shooting that photoshoot with Angelina.
Wow I did not know she did not tell Brad when she was going to file for divorce. But all the media questions why Brad did not tell her about Angie being pregnant. Why should he.

It’s funny how she said he was missing a sensitivity chip because he did a photoshoot that was required to promote the movie, but her spilling her guts and bashing BP with her friends in Vanity Fair was very sensitive. NOT. She didn’t have a movie to promote. She could have just stayed silent like Nicole and it would have passed. Remember Tom started dating Penelope right after the divorce but it was never as a big deal because both parties stayed quiet about the divorce. And he was working with Penelope in Vanilla Sky when he was married so maybe sparks flew there too. But he was never accussed of cheating and Penelope was never called a homewrecker.
Just another opinion:Although there have been few specifics about the birth of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt in Namibia on Saturday, most reports are saying Angelina Jolie underwent a planned c-section. So why would a healthy 30 year old woman choose to have a complicated surgery in a country with less than exemplary medical care? According to one email, it’s because of her STD. Herpes, to be specific. "So I had to contribute a tid bit I heard when I was working for 20th Century Fox (in an executive position that will go unnamed) … we produced ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’. Angie and Brad were indeed having sex on that film, and she apparently gave him some STD’s, and that’s how Jennifer Aniston first found out … If you are young, like Angelina Jolie, and healthy, the reason for c-section is almost always herpes. Jennifer Garner is another herpes mom, Madonna another. Both delivered small babies by c-section. Katie Holmes is another."Obviously I have no idea if any of that is true. It is true that doctors recommend a c-section for women with herpes. According to MSNBC, "women with active herpes lesions or symptoms that a lesion is about ready to erupt should undergo a cesarean section to prevent the virus from infecting the baby during a vaginal delivery." It’s also true that Garner and Madonna had c-sections, it has not been reported if Holmes did. Another fact is that, with Jolie out of the way, I am a mortal lock to win this years award for Hollywoods Hottest Buns.

Remember when they first separated last January 2005 & there are specualtions that the maybe the Golden Couple are really not that golden & Angelina & Brad are close from the set of MAMS. The X did not say anything she stayed quiet but people are more quesioning her about it than Brad. Some media even attacking her about the separation then she changed her tactic & she did the interview from VF which was a sell-out because that was the first time she talked & she started talking about sensitivity chip that’s missing from Brad. People started giving her the symapathy & from there she did the victim act to gain more on her side. But a lot of people are smart to know her game. Except maybe you are an Xsfan or a real hater of Angie. And since Angie got the image of dark & edgy she got the most crap from this Bermuda Triangle. If only the X will admit to the public that the separation is mutual & her & Brad is both at fault then & there the ataack will diminish BUT I doubt the X will do it. I find her very selfish but her fans doesn’t see it. At any rate, the truth will eventually come out one way or the other. And I am sure the X won’t be able to handle the pressure.
