Brad & Angelina: Water Fountain
Photogs’ appetites whetted: ‘Most anticipated baby since Jesus‘
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have an entire government on their side in the latest celebrity vs. paparazzi skirmish as they await the birth of their child in seclusion at a resort in Namibia.
The Namibian Embassy in Pretoria tells journalists seeking visas for Namibia to cover the birth of the eagerly awaited celebrity baby that they must have permission from Pitt and Jolie in writing before they will be allowed into the country.
The government, which has seen its profile as a tourist destination increased by the celebrity visit, has arrested photographers, confiscated film, set up large green barriers on the beach to shield the couple and their children Zahara and Maddox, ringed the hotel with heavy security and threatened to expel any journalist trying to cover the birth without the parents’ permission.
"This lady is expecting," Namibian Prime Minister Nahas Angula was quoted as telling South Africa’s Sunday Times last month. "You guys are harassing her. Why don’t you allow her some privacy? Harassment is not allowed in Namibia."
(Continued after the jump)
Interest has heightened in recent weeks as photographers anticipated the due date was near. It escalated Tuesday when an e-mail Pitt sent to the Cannes Film Festival and read to reporters there said he was unable to attend because of the baby’s "imminent arrival."
Darryn Lyons, the chairman of Big Pictures, which runs Mr. Paparazzi.com, said in London that the two stars are certain to gain more attention by taking up residence in a poor corner of Africa then they would in the United States.
"I don’t think they could have given the people more of an appetite to see the new creature," said Lyons, referring to the decision to hole up in Namibia. "It is the most anticipated baby since Jesus Christ."
"They would have been more discreet sitting in Malibu," he said. "I don’t know why they’re going to all this ridiculous trouble."
Before Pitt and Jolie took up residence at a luxury hotel on the Namibian coast, the government never required that journalists get permission from private citizens — foreign or otherwise — to obtain a visa.
John Liebengerg, a South African magazine photographer, was arrested Wednesday for a second time in less than a week for trying to take pictures of the couple at a restaurant.
The arrest was condemned by the South African National Editors Forum.
"The forum believes citizens have a right to privacy, however journalists also have a right to be able to do their jobs without unfair hindrance or intimidation," the forum said in a statement.
South Africa’s Sunday Times said last month its own photographer and three French photographers were ordered to leave Namibia or face arrest.
Lyons said he has a team in place in Namibia, but that none of his photographers have been arrested. He added someone — perhaps even the midwife — with a small camera or one built into their mobile phone stood to make a lot of money.
"You could probably buy Namibia with that picture," he said, estimating the first picture of Pitt and Jolie’s baby would be worth $5 million.

# 2267 | exe |The herpes are in your holie, your mouth, your throat, your nose, your arm pits, your big fat butt cheecks, your tongue, your ears , and totlly infetced your brain. GET HELP!! or someone might do a c/section on your neck and remove your vocal cords.
to moi Jade,Whether you are expert or not, WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE, first of all! I don’t believe that you are an expert anyway! If some is like Angelina Jolie who were expecting the baby of Brad Pitt, this person will do anything to get less attention if they can. It sounds very normal to me, to have a C-section in middle of night at a private hospital in Namibia which is operated by a specialist who flew all the way from U.S.A. just for this birth. Namibia officials and the rest have done everything to protect the Jolie-Pitts. The staff of a private hospital can show up for the most expected birth so far, at the middle of night even! Anyway, if the specialist flew from the States, the time change wouldn’t affect him, he could be awake as if he was in the States.
# 2275 | MediterraneanLOL. You are too nice to those papz. As what somebody suggest on earlier threads, somebody should divert their covert/tracking talents in looking for terrorists. On the C-section topic I agree with you. To me its really a non-issue. Some women have lower threshold of pain that if given the choice they’d rather do a painless one. In the Philippines C-section is consider as a last resort unlike some countries where there’s a choice and you can schedule unless due to complications you’ve been advised early on. But doctors by policy normally try the normal delivery route first. My sister went thru more than 24 hours of labor even if she was advised beforehand that she should be ready for a CS procedure ‘cuz her baby is big (her baby was 9.6 lbs) and there were complications early in the pregnancy yet the doctors waited & tried to have the baby thru her birth canal until she demanded to go ahead with the C-section because she’d been in labor for too long…..
# 2267 | exe |Why are you posting in a brad-angelina fan forum???Keep the rubbish your posting for you!!!# 2277 Your comment makes me laugh!!! Poor, poor exe…*lol*
#2278: actually I heard on Access Hollywood that her baby was delivered by a local doctor, although that had had an American one flown in just in case, but he wasn’t needed.
The trolls are coming on this post to start a fight. Ignore them if you can because they as so dumb it’s sad. The time is coming when that "pea brain" Aniston is going to take a vacation and disappear for awhile. All I can say is goodbye.
To Mediterranean,I consider Moi Jade an expert, she is a Registered Midwife who has delivered so many babies in this world. I know this from reading previous threads on BAMZ then +1.
# 2278 | Mediterranean I’m not speaking for her but I too believe moi jade knows what she’s talking about. If she sounded offensive, its because she was reacting to a post by "exe" who was posting about STDs and basically just crap.
# 2278 | Mediterranean |Excuse me if I offended you but the post wasn’t to you. Secondly I don’t care if you believe I am an expert or not or that I am really pissed off right now at people who are so obnoxious on subjects they really don’t know about except through their own expereinces or through gossip. There is nothing "normal" about having a c/section in the middle of the night anywhere from a medical point of view. No responsible physician would schedule a c/section for "privacy" even if it is AJ & BP for papparazzi reasons. That is ridiculous. These are people not gods and to physicians they are parents not actors. This is about the safe birth of a human life that is totlly dependent on it’s survival by the people who are surrounding and guiding it’s life. This birth or any birth is NOT about hiding out from any paparazzi. I have caught the babies of several figures with high public profiles. It is against medical practices to alter any safety proceedures outlined by laws that are overseen and governed by policys of a hospital and the International Medical Practices of Physicians in a forgeign country. There are huge liabilties in the Obstetrics field and the proceedures are clearly outlined for those of us that practice Obstetrics. I am a Certified Nurse Midwife, a Perinatal Labor and Delivery Nurses for High Risk Pregnancys, and an Air Transport Nurse for High Risk mothers who need to be transported to Level 3 hospitals to deliver their babies. It pisses me off that some one like exe who has nothing but hate for Angelina Jolie to come here with her dirty mouth and spit such ignorant BS. You should be pointing the finger at exe and not me. And as far as the trip of a Dr. from the states…I just flew home from Europe…….Paris to be exact Saturday night……and could not even spend more than an hour with my family before I passed out,You have never flown to the states obviously as it is 11 hours from Paris to San Francisco and Africa is quite a bit farther. And that is just Plane time not boarding time, customs time……travel to the airport time or the 9 hour time change. No Dr. could fly to Africa from the USA and do a surgery with the time change. I don’t speak from my own personal birth experiences or what I read in some magazine. Delivering babies is my livelihood and has been for over 20 years. So you make your own judgements on what you want to believe, doesn’t change a thing for me. I will go to bed after having just returned home a couple of hours ago from having caught a beautiful baby boy. I will go to bed content and happy regardless of what anyone here believes or not.
ANYONE CURIOUS TO SEE WHERE JEN WAS OVER THE W/END??????~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~http://popsugar.com/7046#more-7046Popsugar have pics of VV and Jen at a chicago baseball game, on May 28/29th as a suck up to the town, to get tham to see TBU premiere that nightCheck out Jens facial expressions, either she really is not a fan of baseball, or she had heard the good news from NamibiaShe looks GRIM to say the least. VV is touching her knee, and I don’t know if that repulsed her ,or what, ‘cos the next thing you know she is sitting separately from himShe wore Black to the premiere, shock horrorInterestingly with all that press around , she had ample opportunity to make a brief statement of Congrats, on the record. ………………….Maybe she couldn’t stomach it Poor Jen
# 2283 | em | # 2284 | malaya |a major surgery at 0140 hours in the morning. If something happened and Angelina Jolie started to bleed out and needed blood in the middle of the night………you have no idea how many people are necessary to run an operating room with a major maternal hemorrhage occurring. To fly blood in the middle of the night……or transport her to a more facilitated hospital is insane.Thank You for your words of support . I am responding to that idiot and the herpes issues which is just WRONG. My perspective is going to be much different because I am on the side of the medical mind which is not subjective and is very complicated andgoverned by policies, standards of care, and laws. When we talk about a human life that is entering our world and has no say in what happens to them, is totally and completely dependent on trained and hopefully ethical people and parents to ensure their safety……. I have a hard time listening to some of this stuff that people say like having a c/section is like going to have your teeth cleaned. Until you witness a mother in birth who looses her babybecause the shoulders are stuck… or a mother just did a few more lines of cocaine or meth and blew her placenta and caused her baby to die and herself from almost bleeding to death..would you understand that physicians do not do c/sections which is It’s just to real to me. So I am sorry if I offended anybody…….butthat really pissed me off and I don’t get pissed to often.Thank You for your support…. I appreciated that.
# 2285 | Jinx |I think you are right. She is looking a bit rough around the edges. Her hair actually looks dirty…….????Hmmmmmmmm. Vince doesn’t look to perky himself. What a guy to be sticking by her though through all this. I sure would want a shoulder to lay my head on though and not a knee squeeze. Go figure.
# 2286 | Moi Jade Hey no need to thank me. I’m sure Mediterranean misunderstood.Personally, I think giving birth is risky whether there are no complications during the pregnancy or the mother is considered high risk. As what the old folks say, "a woman giving birth has one of leg in the grave". Anything can happen. I have a friend whose wife gave birth to a healthy baby by CS since it was a placenta previa. Aside from that they didn’t notice anything wrong because she was closedly monitored and the ob-gyn waited till she was in her 37th week for the procedure. Everything was fine up until 2 hours later while the mother was still in the recovery room the baby was put in the ICU because he had difficulty breathing. The baby passed away 9 days after. So I have high respects for people in the medical profession especially in your field because with babies so many things are so uncertain.
# 2286 Moi Jade~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Don’t worry about it. Your outlook is going to be different and I think most of us believe you are right. Exe isn’t even worth responding to in my opinion. I respect what you do and shining some truth in here because most of us don’t know the details anyway. Thanks for you insights just the same.
Moi Jade-Love it! Love It! Love it!-I am always amazed at others who challenge the expertise of others without first finding out what their career is. Girl You totally rock! You are doing what I once desired to do, but life changes sent me down another path.Mischa-Perhaps you are gone, but you really didn’t give us time to know you-we are a highly intelligent bunch of fun loving ppl-so I will be the first to invite you back-Passing Through-Ok now here we go again with the marriage deal-I would have posted back to you earlier but I was busy so Here am at 5:25 am CST posting-My initial premise was that AJ and BP were married because of the adoption issue-I gave proof that once a person files for adoption, the investigation is scheduled immediately and could take up to 6 months before the agency visit. I also stated that Brad would not have special priviledges because this was a legal issue and he would have to conform to whatever the law was-There were several types of adoptions listed-One was step parent adoption-he didn’t fit into that category-The other was non-married adoption -this would be the category-Instead of rehashing everything here, I’ll write a quick article and post it-Blu-You rock -Love the video

# 2288 | malaya |That is so sad. I am sorry for your friend and his wife or anyone who ever looses a baby. It’s awful. Doctors just don’t take those risks if they don’t have to. So much of what is coming out on BAMZS right now I take with speculation. There is so much BS on them a we are not ever going to know the truth until either of them speaks on it..so much of these stories are just that stories. Same ole same ole. ..Oh well. I just hope the world looks at BAMZS for the family they are , like the rest of us in heart… instead of some circus oddity to continually make stories up about. I wish them much respect and peace . They are good people. Did you see Blu Mystiques video…….against the world? She did a great job on it and really summed it up in her video with all the tabloid garbage.
# 2292 | Moi JadeThanks. For a little while they were both unconsolable.I’ve been playing catch up with the posts so I have yet to watch Blu’s video. BTW Have to go…..
# 2290 | malibumom | LOL!! Thanks girl. Gee I am just glad people are awake right now as I am on call till 7 am and I don’t want to go to bed if I get called. I agree…… we should never assume who might be on the other side of the screen. That’s why I stay here because there are very cool people in here …yourself definetly one! I haven’t seen you around to much lately but I have been away too. I was flying home when you were all celebrating the birth. I always enjoy your posts and your insider scoops and real life perspective. Looking forward to that blip you are writing:) DId you check out pop sugar? No one is lookin at JA in those pictures. Weird.
I just wanted to say thanks to all the talented regulars on this site who have made music videos. I would be embarrassed to tell you how many times I have watched them. Also, thanks to the talented phone convos writers and the fan fic writers. You made waiting for Shiloh to arrive so much more enjoyable.
#2208 Passing ThroughAnd this is why I love you, PT!! "What the cow didn’t say was that the shoot had been scheduled for months and nobody is going to change their movie marketing plans just because her tired ass got dumped."Brilliant!! Thanks for reviving my day with a chuckle, which has started with an hour of trying to get a charge removed from my credit card that put it over the limit right before I need it on a business trip. I love the new photos JJ has put up.
Too funny! Jolie is caught as the liar and hore she always was. # 2221 | shiloh is my dogs name******************************what’s a hore? you must be the short bus spelling bee champ….BTW interesting name for your dog?..yours must be **** for brains..
to MOI JADE,I believe that I also "pissed" you off (as you said somehow) with my comment about you, I am sorry. I totally misunderstood, pardon! But I still insist that you are making such a big deal concerning C-section and scheduled C-section in the middle of the night. Why not? You mignt be very ethical person when it concerns your job, you won’t change your point of you about it, like my first dr who insists that I should have a normal birth. Because there was nothing wrong with me!I wanted just to have a C-section, because I didn’t want to go through pain. I just change my dr who respects my wish who also happens to be the most well known and respected specialist in France. There are thousands of women who give SAFE BIRTH under the circumstances you will not approve, but they do and both mother and kid are still alive and live happily after. My mother gave a birth to my eldest brother who is 51 one at the hospital. Because of the experience she had through, next birth she gave at home and to me at the private clinique. She hated until now what the medical team put her through at the hospital.OK these are people’s personal experiences but isn’t it so normal to consider the experiences as a guindance? If a mother-ot-be needs a C-section in the middle of the night as an emergency case, what would you do? You do what you are expected to do at your best, right? So (let’s say) if one of C-section is scheluded to have a C-section with her own wish, you CERTAINLY believe that there won’t be any dr will do this operation?Tom Cruise shuted off every single person in the room hospital because of his "strange" belief. The medical team was using hand signals (is that what you call in English?) This world comes to point that some people who has money and power will find a way to get what they want, even it’s against you ethical way.But gosh, moi jade, you remind me of my first gynaecologist and obstetrician who lectured me hours and hours for a normal birth for 5 months! Anyway, sorry again.Have a nice day to all
Shiloh was born on 28 of May on Sunday at 01:40 am local time (00:40 am). In the States it was still Saturday, even in N.Y.C.Last Sunday of May is a mother’s day in France, it must be the best gift Angelina would give her mother on the mother’s day, a grandcild!
# 2298 | Mediterranean |Bonjour! All I was saying is1. Physicians don’t SCHEDULE c/sections in the middle of the night. They do them of course in the middle of the night because they have to…they just don’t PLAN them at that time. To many reasons to state here.2. Herpes is no longer a reason for surgery unless there has been no prenatal care. 3. In America anyway… major surgery is not a pain management option. Epidurals are.Oui, I was pissed at you too….. because it was not nice what you said. But I forgive you and think your country is BEAUTIFUL ! I had a very good time in Paris. Even with all the crazy driving….and rain.Au revoir!
