Angelina Jolie on the Beach

Angelina Jolie on the Beach

Angelina Jolie pulled her loved ones closer and took advantage of a break in the weather in Namibia. Angelina, Maddox and a friend took a walk on the beach near their resort on May 6 (three weeks before Shiloh was born).  Said an observer: "They looked like any normal happy family."  In the backdrop is the "Oyster Bar" that the whole Pitt family ate at the weekend before last. Send bigger and better InTouch and Star scans this way!  Yesterday, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt released a statement saying,  “We would like to deeply thank the staff of the Cottage Medi-Clinic Hospital for all their kindness and commitment in assuring the successful birth of our daughter.” The couple’s obstetrician Jason Rothbart, M.D., was assisted by the local staff of the Cottage Medi-Clinic Hospital. "Angelina underwent a scheduled cesarean due to breech presentation," Dr. Rothbart said. "The baby was a healthy 7 lbs. Brad was with Angelina in the operating room the entire time and cut the umbilical cord of his daughter. The surgery and birth went flawlessly. The staff, nurses and doctors I worked with at the Cottage Medi-Clinic Hospital were amazing, it was a team effort."

FAKE HUMANITARIAN @ 05/31/2006 at 1:02 pm

piked, 30 May 2006 Brad, Angelina and the rise of ‘celebrity colonialism’ What gives two Hollywood actors the right to shut down an African nation so that they can have a special experience? spiked, 30 May 2006 Over the past six weeks a Western security force has effectively taken over the small African nation of Namibia. A beach resort in Langstrand in Western Namibia has been sealed off with security cordons, and armed security personnel have been keeping both local residents and visiting foreigners at bay. A no-fly zone has been enforced over part of the country. The Westerners have also demanded that the Namibian government severely restrict the movement of journalists into and out of Namibia. The government agreed and, in a move described by one human rights organisation as ‘heavy-handed and brutal’, banned certain reporters from crossing its borders. However, this Western security force is not a US or European army plundering Namibia’s natural resources or threatening to topple its government. It is the security entourage of one Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the celebrity couple better known for living it up in LA than slumming it in Namibia. They reportedly wanted their first child to be born in Namibia because the country is ‘the cradle of human kind’ and it would be a ’special’ experience (1). And it seems that no security measure is too stringent in the name of making Ms Jolie feel special. Welcome to the new celebrity colonialism. Pitt and Jolie went to Namibia, a small and largely impoverished nation of 1.8 million, six weeks ago. Their daughter - Shiloh Nouvel - was born on Saturday night. As they awaited the birth they reportedly surrounded themselves with their own personal security detail and armed Namibian police. According to the Independent there was even a no-fly zone, enforced by the Namibian government, over the luxurious Burning Shore beach resort where Pitt and Jolie were holed up. Apparently, the stars also got to dictate which reporters could and could not enter the country. According to one report, the Namibian government ‘bowed to pressure from the duo and granted them the right to ban foreign journalists from entering the country - a remarkable move for the government of any sovereign state’. The government is said to have granted this extraordinary veto to Brad and Angelina after the couple told ministers that they would be ‘for

# 123 | Kayleen ahahahaha I’m pretty sure you don’t get enough asses, that’s why you are here ranting about nonsense, and oh yeah make others feel bad so you can feel tremendous. Yeah get back to you work i’m pretty sure everyone’s waiting for you to get back to the real world. LOW LIFE

#126 Fake HumanitarianFully agree with you. AJ is a zen master of the media. She chose a tiny country that is very new, one that would do ANYTHING to get on the world’s radar screen…she controls every drop of publicity coming out of that country. Notice how initially the only baby news besides her name was that they donated money??? (stated by a Namibia authority who certainly would want to please Angelina.

The real lou @ 05/31/2006 at 1:13 pm

Wow I see the faniston’s are as vile as usual.Bamzs fan’s ignore the ignorance,we have the arrival a beautiful baby girl to celeabrate!

Kayleen’s writing skills are very poor, the language and the skill level are that of an 8th grader, so she is probably some idiot kid trying to get a rise out of us all. Probably overweight, bad acne, self-esteem issues and can’t get a date or was dumped and can’t stand the fact that Angie and Brad are beautiful and the majority of us on the list are supportive of them. She probably had to get her ass back to class–remedial English.

Will Brangelina Save African Nation? May 31, 2006 — Most Americans probably don’t know much about the African nation of Namibia, except that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had their brand new baby, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, there on Saturday. The baby is now considered Namibian for life. Two months ago, the Hollywood star couple touched off a media frenzy when they arrived in the country, a young democracy located between Angola and South Africa. There are no public photographs of Shiloh yet. Her parents reportedly plan to sell the first photos of the child for as much as $5 million and give the money to charity. Hopelonge Ipinge, the Namibian ambassador to the United States, told ABC News that officials had been happy to help the couple by arresting and even deporting intrusive paparazzi. "They were just given protection in terms of the security not for someone to intrude in their privacy," Ipinge said. "They need to be protected." Namibians say they have a deep cultural respect for privacy, but many are thrilled by all the publicity. "For once they can have the peace and quiet that they need," Constance Mann said. Namibia, with a population of 2 million, has serious crises with poverty and HIV. Two days after Shiloh’s birth, the Jolie-Pitts donated more than $300,000 to a school and two hospitals. Will Tourists Follow Stars’ Lead?Jolie has long been enamored with Africa since she served as a United Nations goodwill ambassador for refugees. "I’d love to see Africa flourish," she said. "It’s magnificent and has so, so much hope. So much possibility." Namibians are hoping the stars will help pave the way for a tourist boom, and they have considered Shiloh’s birth a special day for the nation. "We marked it in the history of Namibia," Ipinge said.

Guys, the haters will not cease and desist because you are responding and trying so hard to be defensive. What they are really doing is hijacking the thread so whatever you say will not matter. Just ignore them please!! Let them post whatever trash they want since JJ will just delete the most obnoxious postings by the undesirables (the regular hatemongers who can’t wait to jump in when they see a BA thread).Go on with what the subject is because there’s a lot of lurkers who love to read good posts from the regulars. We’ll just skip the bad ones.We come here to read about BAMZS, to be informed on what is going on currently and even enjoy the old news, videos, pics, etc. Keep on posting good stuff that we like about the family. BUT PLEASE DON’T LET THE B/A HATERS HIJACK THE THREAD.Thank you.P.S. Congrats, Brad and Angie! Hello, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt!! Hi to Mad and Zee. Now you have a new sister and another playmate!

can someone help me out? What did Angelina say about not having her own kids and just adopting. I need the quote and where she said it. I’m having an discussin with someone.

#126/129 Jolie Full of itYou guys are so ignorant of the world. Do you have any idea at all what the Jolie-Pitt’s presence in Namibia meant for this tiny, impoverished country economically? Only 8,000 Americans and about 200,000 tourists world-wide have visited this place in the last two to three years. The Jolie-Pitts have put Namibia on the map and by doing so if the country draws 10,000 American/500,000 tourists in the next year, the economic influx will mean thousands and thousands of their people will have jobs and incomes. For a country that is decimated by AIDS, poverty and where most people live on less than $3/day–this increased tourism can mean the development of more roads, buildings, and other infrastructures to make the country more inhabitable to its people. It can mean money for individuals who otherwise might starve. It can mean increased money spent on preserving the animals which may in turn lead to increased tourism. Do you think Angie and Brad don’t realize this? Of course they do and of course they are going to try and maximize their efforts on behalf of Namibia. Think about it the next time you pick up a bag of chips for $3.99 or fill your car up at $3.00/gallon. These people live on less than $3/day while you are riding in comfort, eating junk food and living a fairly decent life. So what if AJ and BP are using the media to further the cause of this African nation. What have you done to help humanity? What have you done to help end poverty somewhere? What have you done to help make childbirth safer for women with no insurance and no ready access to care? Unless you are doing more than the Jolie-Pitts, I’d be hard pressed to be impressed by anything and any argument you bring forth.

I guess our JOY over the news of the BABY is really P*SSING them off, so they have to leave their cesspool and come over here with their filth. Its just amazing to me how people who hate BAMZS troll all these blogs to spread their hate. I guess misery loves company

That is all @ 05/31/2006 at 1:25 pm

Where did that pic come from? Why haven’t wee seen it earlier? I think STAR has pics from the day before she gave birth. I want to see those pics too.

Hey everyone…..I’ve just got in from work (it’s 6.20pm in the UK)I thought I’d see how everyone is at JJ’s. Is there something in the water , today?I see Stef, Alexanderina and Stef were singled out for armed combat, by some vindictive types. They seem familiar with you all thoughMaybe you’ve all become a celebrity girl group, with your very own stalkers…Sorry, just trying to inject some light hearted humour into the thread. Hope, you’re OK Stef. It’s a shame, if all this disintegrates into pettiness, when really we have so much to enjoy right nowHope to catch up with you all in better spirits.Don’t let the ******** get you downPS I’ve just saved all of Ricas fanfics .I’ve still got loads to get through. But they’re AMAZING!!I have to pinch myself, to remember that it’s not real

Sorry AG , I meant you ,Stef and Alexanderina, not Stef twiceI’m just tired from work. Have a good night all of you

Alexanderina @ 05/31/2006 at 1:29 pm

# 134 | stardust | This is from the Dateline interview with Ann CurryAngie - I think I’m still kind of in denial about it.Curry: Denial? Jolie: I still have this kind of funny thing of like I can’t quite believe it. I was always very sure that I would adopt all my children. And I was quite at peace with that. And then things felt different and made some different choices. And we’ll continue to adopt. But now I’m pregnant.

Hey Guys-~~~~~Alright well i’m spent for the day! We ALL need to do more in trying not to respond to the haters, it is hard trust me sometimes you want to just scream and shout at them, but they want that!Okay guys my ipod just started playing the macarena and now i’m dancing! Ha Ha Ha!Bye BAMZS fans! Love Ya Krissy :) :) :)

# 143 | QQQQ | thanks. but i was talking about the infamous interview where she said didn’t want to have kids because she knew there were many kids to adopt. the really old interview. This person is saying she said she never wanted to have bio kids.

Several of you refer to Rica’s fanfic. How do we find it?

creativegirl @ 05/31/2006 at 1:35 pm

Guys - can’t we all just get along? It’s getting so tiring scrolling through tons of trash talk just to read the posts by people who really do want to discuss the topic at hand. Jared - maybe you need to start a forum just so the haters can go after each other and leave us BAMZS fans to ourselves.

Alexanderina @ 05/31/2006 at 1:35 pm

# 142 | stef | - She is just a secretary getting the Boardroom ready for a meeting, so don’t let her fool you by thinking she is some important Executive lol

jinx…yeah the twats tried to pick at a few of us but i give as good as i get. i just mentioned how strange it was that she knew my stats like that i am a graduate and stuff. weird i think!

please don’t get this bunch of group-thinkers to start thinking silly stuff like that which is based on little or nothing. They are already delusional enough about this child named "the new Messiah" to not see how arrogant even the choice of names would seem to decent people everywhere. # 139 | TO - 95 | Helane————————-Sounds to me that you are the least decent.

Alexanderina @ 05/31/2006 at 1:36 pm

I think they felt they had to divulge a little bit about the birth because of Stupid In touch and their sources spreading lies and such. Like the brad was waiting in the hall lie. They went to PEOPLE and cleared that one up.
