Angelina Jolie on the Beach

Angelina Jolie on the Beach

Angelina Jolie pulled her loved ones closer and took advantage of a break in the weather in Namibia. Angelina, Maddox and a friend took a walk on the beach near their resort on May 6 (three weeks before Shiloh was born).  Said an observer: "They looked like any normal happy family."  In the backdrop is the "Oyster Bar" that the whole Pitt family ate at the weekend before last. Send bigger and better InTouch and Star scans this way!  Yesterday, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt released a statement saying,  “We would like to deeply thank the staff of the Cottage Medi-Clinic Hospital for all their kindness and commitment in assuring the successful birth of our daughter.” The couple’s obstetrician Jason Rothbart, M.D., was assisted by the local staff of the Cottage Medi-Clinic Hospital. "Angelina underwent a scheduled cesarean due to breech presentation," Dr. Rothbart said. "The baby was a healthy 7 lbs. Brad was with Angelina in the operating room the entire time and cut the umbilical cord of his daughter. The surgery and birth went flawlessly. The staff, nurses and doctors I worked with at the Cottage Medi-Clinic Hospital were amazing, it was a team effort."

(Me and my co-workers find you all pitiful. We all had a good laugh at you, pretty much daily - as a special treat one of us joins in) # 79 | Kayleen =================So you and the GANG, had a good ole laugh HUH,, lol, what a pathtic, hypocrite,,, ‘’sad”

Jolie, Pitt child named with Hebrew word for ‘Messiah’ Excerpt from the article.A Hebrew name, Shiloh is "generally understood as denoting the Messiah, `the peaceful one,"’ according to Easton’s Bible Dictionary, the 1897 work of biblical definitions. The Web site http://www.babynames.com lists Shiloh as a name that can apply to either a boy or girl. It also points out the famous Battle of Shiloh in 1862, a pivotal battle in the Civil War fought in southwestern Tennessee near a church named Shiloh. The child’s middle name, Nouvel, most obviously translates from the French, meaning "new." If one were to take a literal approach to analyzing the entire name, Jolie and Pitt could appear exceedingly bold in dubbing their daughter the "new Messiah." Bruce Lansky, a self-described "baby name guru" and author of "100,000-plus Baby Names," says the name is "unusual without being silly." "What is interesting is Brad and Angelina went all the way to Namibia to have their baby girl and rather than choose a traditional African name to signify the birth — like many thought they would — they chose Shiloh, also meaning `God is great’ in Hebrew," says Lansky. i have a question, i don’t know if its dumb-but what are these fanfics for brad and angie, and how can a person view them?

lookwhaticando @ 05/31/2006 at 1:49 pm

Stef- 104 I would love to go to Africa, And I would love to visit some of the places that Angie has gone to. She has inspired me to want to go even more than before, I am reading her book now. I have it here on my desk at work. Reading it slowly as to savor it. ((((smile))))

# 145 | stardust This is a scan of the rolling stone article…its the 3rd paragraph down, in the 2ndcolumn|http://www.joliesdragon.com/angel_dolls/RollingStone03/pages/rs0305.htm

dancer go to:http://www.justjared.com/gossip/2006/02/brad-pitt-nyc/index.phpthey are on these pages hope you find them, and enjoy them!

Just scanned through the ABC archieves, i was wrong. And now i see QQQQ’s post–yea that one.

thank you to all who provided the links. =)

This is not directed at anyone, but i don’t get why the media and other people are going on and on about the child’s name and meaning(messiah)…. a lot of Spanish people name their boys JESUS, no one is going on & on about that, lots of Spaniards & Italians are named MARY after the "messiah’s" mother… So what’s the big deal… I guess these people realize that if they write anything about B&A other with "hit" their sites.

# 156 | shop girl | May 31, 2006 01:47 PM |See post #160 by Stef, that is where the original JustJared fanfic by Rica was first posted and still continuing now.

# 22 Passing ThroughHi! I was a little bothered after posting about X (I like the way you call X ha-ha) because this was after all the birthweek of THE UBER-BABY of our beloved Angie/BP, but I could not help hearing about what X says on TV (not TABLOID gossip) that I was compelled to let people know how X truly is, with or without shrinks.

# 163 | QQQQ | May 31, 2006 02:00 PMYou are so right. In the Philippines, JESUS (pronounced Hay-soos) is also very commonly given to babies at birth; also Maria (for Mary) and Jose (for Joseph). In fact, I have a brother who is a Jose Roberto and a sister Maria Dolores, with two cousins born Jesus but now just called Jess and Jessie. To us it’s not sacrilegious at all but a way of honoring the Messiah, plus hoping that the children would emulate the virtues of the Holy Family.People would just post anything, good or bad, as long as it has Brad or Angie in it, and of course they would get a ton of hits.

lookwhaticando…that book was a huge inspiration to me! it has helped me understand so much more, i was always a fighter for poverty and other causes, but that book opened my mind, gave me ideas, if you see what im saying.as much as she said, "im not much of a writer!" but to have the experiences told to us via someone who can only discribe what they are seeing with out the writers touch makes the experience raw and fresh, but also at times extremely hard to read, but we conquor on! anyone who has preconceptions on angie should pick up that book! your views change also when you have seen it first hand too. mine did, and that was before i read the book too, long before.

# 163 | QQQQ | -ITA with you, I am sitting at my desk thinking the same thing, they are making this freaking big deal about the name, you know why, cause they don’t have anything better to do. There are more important in this world to write and report about but they are spending more of their time talking about Brad and Angie’s baby name

What to watch for this week …May 31st, 2006 by : infraredtechThings are predictable here in L.A., especially when it comes to BREAKING news. Here’s what we should be looking out for:• Shiloh Nouvel story to grace every single cover of every single tabloid, putting Gwen Stefani and Mira Sorvino’s births deep in the shadows, and TomKat’s Suri is buried, much like MI3. • The much anticipated flop of The Break-Up and the will she or won’t she? - Jennifer Aniston and the inevitable breakdown of putting her movie career ahead of the love of her life. And did she really call Brad to congratulate him? • Is Britney Spears really losing that pathetic thing called K-Fed? Is she really dating her nanny and/or producer J.R. Rotem? • More Bush bashing - it’s everywhere. Honk if you’re a hater! • What did Michelle Rodriguez do to be released after only serving four hours and a minute in jail? No, we swear it wasn’t star treatment, it’s because the jails are overcrowded. • Hate mail and death threats from X-Men fans complaining once again, Brett Ratner ruined a potentially great film (remember Red Dragon?). • Lindsay Lohan’s move to the UK - great, more reasons for everyone to hate Americans. We wish we had something more substantial and important to report … but L.A. is like an island in a lot of ways, and the only thing we care about are celebrities, the weather and traffic. Oh, and things that directly concerns us. Nothing else.

Warning to Stef @ 05/31/2006 at 2:13 pm

StefI’m a long time lurker. I have never posted before, but I read what someone said to you todayJust a warning. You more than anyone divulge a lot of information about yourself on hereEven I know that you have a myspace page, because you are always giving out the linkIt is very friendly here, and fun, but be careful, it’s not only your friends that read these threadsBe SafeA Friend

the name thing is just something for people to come on a poke us, the other day i heard that the name shiloh has a meaning from angie heriatage(sp) her native indian past, it means STAR aka new star, but you dont hear them saying that, for all we know, the film "shiloh" (the one with the dog) could have been the reason they like the name, they probably just heard it and thought thats nice! people always have to dig into every meaning with this family, its crazy, dont you think?

What can I say except STOP THE MADNESS in these brad/angelina threads. EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion. Don’t knock people just because they don’t worship Brad and Angelina and let people who choose to worship them do so too.

I agree with the warning, especially to BAMZ fans (X fans you go get plastered anywhere, who cares). Be careful about posting personal stories and info.

a friend…thank you for the warning, and i do apreciate it, i really do.i dont give out too much stuff, but i will admit things get carried away.thanks for the concern.

stef, i’m a little late but I recently got the book delivered today! reading it right now..of course occassional breaks from time to time but can’t wait else it offers. =)

can’t wait to read what [else] it offers that i’m not aware of =)****

Check The Facts @ 05/31/2006 at 2:25 pm

"Well, his brother Doug is already in Paris. The reports that he e-mail the Springfield newspaper to give a statement quoted them as saying he was in Paris and would see his brother et. al. in "a while". Whatever "a while" is these days." # 23 | Passing Through |=========================Not true, the only people who claimed Doug Pitt was in Paris is In Touch. Doug’s local paper said no such thing.
