Jennifer Aniston Buys Tracie Martyn

Jennifer Aniston Buys Tracie Martyn

Tomorrow is shaping up as a pivotal day in Jennifer Aniston’s movie career. If you don’t already know, she’s opening in "The Break-Up" with unofficial real-life boyfriend Vince Vaughn. The reviews are scathing; the movie is said to be terrible. If Aniston’s built-in audience doesn’t show up tomorrow night, there’s going to be trouble.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Aniston has a couple more comedies and a thriller on the horizon. Unfortunately, the material doesn’t look terrific and except for George Hickenlooper, the directors attached to the projects aren’t very promising.

It’s hard to say what’s gone wrong here: in person Aniston is a friendly, generous soul who so far has not played the diva card. She’s accessible and amiable.

If "The Break-Up" is really as shrill and annoying as the advance notices indicate, Aniston may really have trouble attracting audiences in the future. She really should take a page from the playbooks of Goldie Hawn and other actresses who needed custom-made material to get out of ruts. And fast!

Aniston fans gotta band together this weekend! After the jump is Jennifer Aniston leaving the Tracie Martyn Salon earlier today, which is located at 59 5th Avenue (bet 12th and 13th St.)  British import Tracie Martyn is known as the go-to girl for age-defying facials — "The Facialist to the Stars". Overexposure, mediocre talent, that was the problem of Aniston.

The former "Friends" star is likable enough, but she can’t shake her trademark exterior affectations: the low-rise jeans, fake tan and that highlighted hairdo. On the other side of the equation is Vaughn, whose deft monologues have earned his status as a scene-stealer. The problem is, his bursts have stronger effect paired with an actor who can match or underplay his obnoxiousness, as Owen Wilson did in "Wedding Crashers." If there’s one thing that "The Break-Up" accomplishes, it’s proof that Brangelina are the more interesting duo.

while Aniston’s character has almost no personality 125 | 104 Mins Sitcom ============================That is because she is not acting. She is just being herself playing this charactor. She will always be R. Green. She was R. Green even before R. Green.. The movie will flop big time.

UNITE. GO TO THE MOVIE, TAKE A DATE, TAKE A FRIEND. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED. AFTER ALL, IT’S VINCE AND JEN.

I won’t see the movie because I don’t think it would be a good one since VV as the leading man. VV is good at playing a fast-talking, annog big guy in a supporting role, Like what he did in the Wedding Crashers & MAMS. He acts funny by talking fast to annoy people so as to opposite/support the leading man like in Wedding Crashers. That’s what he’s good at. If he’s the leading man, I bet he would annoy people who watch the move to death. I don’t want to waste my $10.00 on that! Period.

Face-Off: Brad Pitt vs. Vince VaughnVaughniston’s romance hits the big screen. But how does the Mr. Wedding Crasher rate against Jen’s ex?by Amanda HenryPoor Jennifer. She tries to escape the stress of divorcing Brad by throwing herself into her work — only to sign on for a series of movies withart-imitates-life titles: Derailed, Rumor Has It and now, The Break-Up. But things may be getting better, as rumors continue to swirl about the seriousness of the sitcom sweetheart’s relationship with her latest co-star, Vince Vaughn. Which prompts a question: how do Pitt and Vaughn stack up against each other? We thought we’d check ‘em out on some key elements.# HometownBrad: Born in Oklahoma. Raised in Missouri, apparently the Show-Me-Your-Pecs state.Vince: Born in Minneapolis. Raised on the outskirts of Chicago, home of pizza with a very thick crust.# Vital StatsBrad: He’s a respectable (and rare for Hollywood) six feet, which is why Tom Cruise has never been photographed with him.Vince: At 6′5", Vaughn is quite the tall drink of Pabst Blue Ribbon.# Personal StyleBrad: It changes with the lady du jour; currently a punk/Goth hybrid, complete with faux-hawk. No vials of blood as of yet, though.Vince: Frat boy with a trust fund.# Famous FriendsBrad: World leaders, various international architects … you’re getting sleepy, very sleepy …Vince: Owen Wilson, Jon Favreau, Ben Stiller… chugalug, dudes!# Famous Ex-LoversBrad: Robin Givens, Juliette Lewis, Gwyneth Paltrow, and, of course, Jennifer Aniston.Vince: Um, does Joey Lauren Adams still count as famous?# Breakthrough RoleBrad: The shirtless himbo in Thelma and Louise, where he enjoys therapeutic sex with Geena Davis.Vince: The smooth-talking former child star in Swingers, where he enjoys therapeutic martinis.# Big-Screen MistakeBrad: Playing Death in the interminable and downright silly Meet Joe Black.Vince: Playing an outlaw in Dwight Yoakam’s backyard Western South of Heaven, West of Hell.# Common CreditsBrad and Vince: 21 Jump Street (though not the same episode) and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, where Vaughn is Pitt’s wisecracking best bud/fellow assassin … even though he still lives with Mom.# Oscar OddsBrad: Was nominated for 12 Monkeys. But too often lets his hair do the work.Vince: Sure. As soon as they create a category like Best Onscreen Belch.# Box-office CloutBrad: With Cruise in La La Land and Tom Hanks sporting that weird mullet, he’s the biggest male movie star around.Vince: V.V. and co. have discovered a goldmine in lowbrow dude movies. Old School 2, anyone?# Humanitarian WorkBrad: Holding orphans or Angelina’s hand at various world summits.Vince: Saving mortified ex-wives from the horror of being alone.

I like Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, both have great comedic timing and are very funny - Vince more so than Jennifer. I am looking forward to seeing The Break Up.However, no question, Angelina is more beautiful and talented. Angelina’s parents are both gorgeous, still very attractive for their age and have aged very well. Jon Voigt was an Oscar winning actor and a fantastic performer.Angelina has fantastic range in box office and independent movies of all types and roles. She is a humanitarian and donates a large percentage of her salary to causes which interest her. I don’t think I’ve seen a photo of her in the last six months wearing makeup or anything but the most basic clothes and yet she is so beautiful. She doesn’t look like the type who needs Mystic Tan and daily trips to the gym but instead toiling out in the African sun and walking with her children on the streets of Paris. So she is/was weird and quirky and went through a wild stage. A lot of us did, so what? Motherhood has changed her, like it changes a lot of people. Jennifer Aniston comes from two moderately attractive parents who are long time soap opera actors. She was average looking in high school, certainly attractive enough but nothing special. She has close set eyes, a big nose, big jaw, huge chin and dark wiry hair. Even today with all the improvements she can’t touch the beauty of an untouched barefaced Angelina Jolie.

God - will jen just go away already? It is so apparent that her fan base is dwindling into obscurity. My advice to her would be to buy some big house far away. The constant grasping for acceptance is just killing her so-so-image. Brad needed a woman not a little girl. God she is so annoying - somewhat like the teenager who whines constantly - me me me. Grow-the-hell-up Jen Jen.

God almighty…….to the person who has posted the last 25 posts ……. all negitive….trying to pretent they are different people………YOU ARE SO TRANSPARENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go **** YOURSELF! Maybe then you’ll get over the hard-on you have for Jennifer Aniston! She’s NOT GOING TO GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!! DEAL WITH IT YOU STUPID *****! You seriously need MENTAL HELP as soon as possible to get over your fixation and to GET A REAL LIFE—-ONE THAT DOESN’T CENTER AROUND CELEBRITES YOU WILL NEVER EVEN MEET. NOW STFU YOU STUPID *****!

I didn’t find her as irritating as I do now until the breakup between her and Brad Pitt, something which she’s milked for all it’s worth, despite her protestations to the contrary. (If you don’t really want to talk about your divorce, you just don’t give any interviews until it’s all said and done, instead of giving dozens, but each time talking about how it’s painful and how you don’t want to talk about it.) She IS in pursuit of maximum fame, instead of increased artistry, and her recent roles evince it.http://letters.salon.com/ent/movies/review/2006/06/02/breakup/view/

# 137 | interestingc You’re so jealous of Jennifer Aniston is pathetic. You come in on her thread and post after post say the same tired things, over and over. Can’t you come up with something orginial just for a change? My god ***** you’re getting to sound like a broken record. Why don’t you plop yourself back down in Brangelina land and ou and au over nothing like you do each day, every day of your empty pathetic little life. Now go away and STFU already. KK????

I just saw TBU and it was bad. Really bad, but not as bad as Bewitched. Maybe my opinion has been colored by my dislike for JA, the bad reviews, and some bloggers who are salivating at JA’s potentially doomed career, but I am a romantic comedy fan, and this one was bad. The screenplay was bad, their chemistry was bad, although the photos shown during the opening credits projected the energy and chemistry the rest of the movie lacked. The supporting characters weren’t developed or at all funny, although it was nice to see Jon F. and Vince’s dad, although he played JA’s father. The best part of the movie was the last scene with Vince and Jon. For once, Jon was allowed to be the inappropriate one and it suited him. I also liked the Tone Rangers rendition of ‘Rainbow Connection’, but that played during the end credits. I understand that Vince wanted to deviate from the recent trend/formula in romantic comedies, meaning a ridiculous, contrived premise, but the gags and tricks in TBU were ridiculous and contrived. And JA’s character desire for VV’s character to read her mind and submit to her machinations brought back the Ross and Rachel saga, which completely turned me off to her. Yes, Vince has a story credit, but I seriously doubt that JA was completely shut out from the screenplay/ improvisation aspect of the movie. Why didn’t she say something about this potential comparison? And that, in a nutshell, is my problem with JA. She constantly goes with the flow, in terms of her career choices (IMO, BP falls under that category, as well as VV), and doesn’t open her mouth about the important stuff until after the fact. And JA isn’t hurting for money… she can wait for a good vehicle to come along. Yes, actresses are hurting for decent material, but what is more important, doing a good job while giving the audience a good time or remaining constantly and lacklustery, if that’s a word, in the spotlight?

piper…… as soon as I read your first line……..I STOPPED READING. Too long and full of negatives right from the start……..boring!So your little movie review was all in vain. NO ONE here will read it! I’m sure most of it was copied from somewhere else cause your other 25 to 30 posts on here are not suprisingly full of errors and stupidity. Cause THAT’S YOU. What does surprises me is that you have the stamina, will, hate fueled personality, and TIME to continue writing post after post AGAINST Jennifer Aniston. You are a person full of anger who is despertely needing professional help. I realize that you think that if she doesn’t exist anymore everyone will look favorably on herpes holie. Not gonna happen. Most of us just didn’t like that home wrecking ***** before she met Pitt. Now she’s even more unliked. So go post your long, boring, hate filled reviews somewhere where everyone is full of hate ……JUST LIKE YOU.

#138 uu rr a moron **I did not write what was posted. I found it on Salon.com. http://letters.salon.com/ent/movies/review/2006/06/02/breakup/view/ Go to the site and read what people who are not Brangelina fans think of JA. Reality Check - Normal people who could care less about JA/BP/AJ are now catching on to her act (and I don’t mean her acting).

The Break Up @ 06/03/2006 at 1:36 am

As a matter of fact I did just return from seeing The Break Up. Several ‘Vaughnisms’ later I am happy to report it was a very entertaining film. My husband is on a deep sea fishing trip and I saw it with one of our friends–and he clearly enjoyed the film, too. It’s not a chick flick for even so much as a second and Vince’s character is a guy’s guy. There is also plenty of chemistry between Vince and Jen–just not the gratuitous, stereotypical kind we’ve come to half-expect in movies. More like the kind we all have or hope to experience, and not the over-the-top lusty come-on crap that so many films rely on today.I’m not trying to pick a fight–just saying there are plenty of women, myself included, who would pick VV over Brad without thinking twice about it. As Vince has said in interviews, he’s "private about his stuff" and his character really comes across that way. I think VV helped write the love scenes in TBU in such a way they didn’t need to be rolling around together on screen just to prove to some peeping toms that they are a hot couple. You could feel their connection without it. If you don’t want to see it–don’t. But it’s stupid to bash a film that you haven’t even seen just because some catty crtic may have said something that you quote, hoping to sound slick. I’m pretty picky about what I spend my entertainment $ on–and I have no regrets about my $10.

freidaflo @ 06/03/2006 at 9:28 am

THE BREAK UPThough will not see this movie , I hope it will make a decent show at the box office.Movies must make money to recover expenses for PR,salaries etc. VV got some of his closest friends in it, not a guarantee but it helps. As ffor JA,another stab for that elusive stardom.Hope she spare the baby, when she starts that blame game and pity parties if this movie tanks. She de-Pitt the guy, Now Brad is having a JOLIE time of his life……..

remember da truth @ 06/05/2006 at 3:16 pm

From a friend of mine, who went to the Break Up:Well… you will be happy to know that I wasted 20 bucks to see the very terriblemovie, The Breakup. Even though I think Jennifer is a jerk, for some reason, I still think I am going to like her movies… but mainly, I just really like VinceVaughn… he is crazy! The movie was awful… it was actually like watching yourbest friend and her boyfriend (who you also care about) fight and say and do reallyhurtful things to each other for 2 hours. I was waiting for that to become funny, but it never did. I think Jennifer Aniston should thank her lucky stars that thewriters of Friends were so talented… or she would be a nobody right now. She actually made Vince Vaughn unfunny… I understood her argument, but the issue wastoo real to be funny. What is funny about being ignored by your husband while hewatches ESPN while you are slaving away for the dinner party? Nothing… and thereis nothing funny about the fight that happens or the breakup. It would have beendifferent if they fought because he had the bad habit of jumping up and down on the bed with the kids like in Mrs. Doubtfire.

I LIKE JEN ANISTON , BUT HER MATERIAL AS OF LATE HAS BEEN, I HATE TO SAY IT AWFUL, DERAILED SUCKED, RUMOR HAS IT WORST, AND I SAW THE BREAK UP, REALLY BAD, THE ONLY SO SO ONE WAS FRIENDS WITH MONEY. I REALLY THINK SHE IS GETTING TOO OVEREXPOSED, SHE WAS GREAT IN FRIENDS,AND THE GOOD GIRL, BUT HER PAST OTHER MOVIES, WERE SO BAD, ALONG CAME POLLY WAS BAD TOO. SHE SHOULD JUST TAKE A VACATION, RELAX, SHE DOESN’T NEED TO LINE UP 15 SUCKY MOVIES NOBODY WANTS TO SEE, (CUZ YOU KNOW SHE’S GOT ANOTHER 15 LINED UP IN THE NEXT YR. ) PLEASE JEN GO ON VACATION, NOT ONLY FOR YOU BUT FOR US TOO. AS FOR BRANGELINA I;M HAPPY THEY ARE HAPPY, THEY REALLY ARE WONDERFUL PARENTS TO THEIR KIDS, GOD BLESS THEM, BEST OF LUCK TO VINCE AND JEN AND BRAD AND ANGIE, I DO WONDER WHEN WILL JEN HAVE BABY, SHE IS NEARLY 40, I GUESS AS SHE ALWAYS SAYS "IT WILL HAPPEN, IN THE FUTURE, WHEN SHE’S LIKE 50.
