Yay! Mommy and Daddy have arrived. It’s so cute they’re all dressed up to meet their little granddaughter. They remind me of my parents. Does anyone know if this is their first grandchild? Kudos to them for making the trek out to Namibia to meet little Shiloh. I’m sure they’ve been dying to see her!

Baby Shiloh Jolie Pitt is barely a week old and she is making waves. The first baby with a TV showShe is offered a custom made pacifierworth $17, 000. Oh, the people at National Ledger must be really pissed because they made no bones about hiding it. Tried to spin it in a way that it looked like AJ & BP called for it. Thank goodness for other media outlets the said like it really is. The company had the pacifier made with the hopes that it will be donated to charity. They had a breakdown of what $17, 000 can do. After reading that, I had to wonder…..what does TC think. I mean apart from a crib that was left at his doorstep, I haven’t read/heard anything else being offered to his baby. This also brought me to the conclusion that as much a the stupid tabs with their stupid polls carry on about BP and AJ not being popular….these two are phenomenally popular. I’m not naive enough to believe these companies offering Shil free stuff are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. They want the free publicity….the baby born to stars…but so also is Suri and THAT in itself tells me where things really stand. The tides are turning for the Jolie Pitts my friends and after 19 months, I say IT’S ABOUT FREAKING TIME!!! I saw the funniest thing on TV (hmmm, I’ve been coming across a lot of funny things lately….which is good, it’s better to laugh than to cry…..well except you are a Faniston then cry me a freaking river). Anyway, I was watching The Soup and they showed a clip of News Anchors in some city talking about TBU and as soon as the preview came on, one of the Anchors picked up a newspaper and pretended to read, the woman pretended akward silence and with her eyes darting around the room…..as if to say "someone get me outta here". When it was over, the newspaper guy drops his paper and says "is it over?" the entertainment guy then tells it was so boring even one of the producers fell asleep during the screening. The producer….who has a stake in this….fell asleep! Oh in that case, I’ll be the first in line to go see the movie now. Also on The Soup, they have this segment called "Did you know?" well, on last nights ep, they had "Did you know Jennifer Aniston is also an actress not just Brad Pitt’s ex-wife? Well now you know". My poor sister, bless her heart, is really hoping this movie does well….not because she like JA (she’s not really into TV, so she’s one of those people who knew that BP’ wife is in aTV sitcom)…anyway, she wants the movie to do well so JA will also have something good too. I had no qualms dashing her hopes…I showed her the preview on MSN and when it got to the "I want you to want to do the dishes/why would I want to want to do the dishes bit, she wince. At the end of the preview, she says "it’s not funny…there is no humor in something you see everyday" but still, she persists on hoping that something good comes out of this, so I start showing her reviews….now I want you to understand that I’m not trying to be mean, I love my sister and I don’t want her building false hope when she’s only gonna be disappointed…am I a good sister or what? Well, last night, I went on MSN movie review and the critic took no prisoners….this was nothing new or interesting. What I found interesting were the audience review…..oh those Fanistons, they sure know how to spin things. They had things like….it was so real, I almost cried (maybe it’s just me but aren’t movies meant for escapism. If I want to see real life I’ll stay at home). Another said, it was so real, anyone who hates to be uncomfortable will not like it (well now that just proves my belief that those Fanistons enjoy pain and suffering….I mean why else will they keep coming were they continously cyber smacked). My fav was when one of them got riled up about another post…..of course it was negative, why else will she be riled up? She started correcting the poster’s grammer (hmm, now that sounds very familiar…Typical Faniston move. Well I guess it’s a universal thing among the fanistons.) The best review for me was the guy/girl who came up there and simply stated "I’m going to slap the person who made me see this movie" simple yet conveys a lot. This tells me where things really stand….The tides are turning , the Fanistons are desperate and after 19 months I say IT’S ABOUT FREAKING TIME.And a Very Good Morning to everyone and Thanks Jared!

The more realistic, believable ones [mostly from guys who were dragged there] were one and two stars. Intermixed, there were 4 and 5 stars! roflmao! AS IF! The one I liked the most was from a guy who went with his wife and 2/3 other couples. Between them they had 60 years of marriage. They ALL hated it! Another favorite was the dad who went with his 19 year old daughter who was confused by anyone laughing at this wreck of a movie!You know, if I were Brad, I’d be seriously rethinking bringing my precious family back to the land of the deluded.

When my sister in law was pregnant, my mama was on the phone with her almost everyday….the woman did not care about the time difference, she’d call anytime…my brother had to warn her off. He told her if she didn’t stop, they’ll stop picking her calls. You know what she said, "well is a good thing you’re in America with all the nice technology, I’ll just get one of your siblings to connect me" The woman is relentless. She came to the US a week before my nephew was born. I understand about the frictions with mother in law but as long as the new mama is given her space, I don’t think it will be an issue. If TBU does have a moderately good opening this weekend, it is only because people are curious about the alleged relationship between the leads and all the tabloid hoopla surrounding them AND brangelina. If the movie is really as crappy as reviews state, then by word of mouth, next weekend it will have like a 70% drop off! So there you go, perhaps a glimmer of hope opening weekend, only to be burried by superman and the rest of the summer box office.

The Break-Up (2 stars out of 4) BY ROGER EBERT / June 2, 2006 "The Break-Up" hints that the broken-up couple will get back together again, but that doesn’t make us eager for a sequel. The movie stars Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston as Gary and Brooke, a steady couple who have many reasons to break up but none to get together, except that they fall in love. Since the scenes where they’re together are so much less convincing than the ones where they fall apart, watching the movie is like being on a double-date from hell.Gary is obsessed with the Chicago Cubs and video games, and thinks if they moved the dining table into the living room, that would make space for a pool table. He and his brothers run a Chicago tour bus company, and he is the tour guide. Brooke works in a high-powered Chicago art gallery. They break up because she says he never listens to her, or appreciates all the work she does around the house, or how she cooks his meals and picks up his laundry. All true, but these are not merely faults, they are his essential nature, and he will never, ever, be interested in her world. Not when he thinks Michelangelo painted the ceiling of the "16th Chapel."True, their arguments are funny, at least while they’re still getting along. They have a fight right at the beginning that had me nodding my head and recognizing my own shortcomings. At the 30-minute mark, I thought the movie had a chance, but it grew dreary and sad, especially when they both receive spectacularly bad advice from their best friends (Joey Lauren Adams and Jon Favreau). There’s a stretch when Gary’s sleeping on the sofa surrounded by dirty underwear and she’s trying to make him jealous by being picked up at home by a series of handsome studs. Would any woman really do this? The way to make a guy jealous is by seeming to really like someone else, not acting like first prize on Match.com.Gary, on the other hand, tries to make Brooke jealous by hiring hookers to join his buddies in a strip-poker game. Believe it or not, this doesn’t work, either. By the time they have a heart-to-heart, it’s way too late because both hearts are broken, and it isn’t a pretty sight.What the movie lacks is warmth, optimism and insight into human nature. I point you to "Fever Pitch" (2005), with Jimmy Fallon as a schoolteacher and Red Sox fan, and Drew Barrymore as a business executive. It begins by showing them really and truly falling in love, and then baseball season starts and she realizes he is two guys: the guy she fell in love with and the Red Sox fan. If she can accept both of these personalities, and he can accept her needs, they can repair their problems.The problem with Gary is that he has only the one personality, and even if he starts listening to her and thanking her for picking up his dirty socks, they will still be profoundly incompatible. For the movie to work, we would have to like the couple and want them to succeed. Despite some sincere 11th-hour soul-searching by Gary, we’re sorry, but we don’t want them back together, we want them to end their misery.The supporting cast adds variety, to be sure, but of a strange kind. Occasionally, supporting actors will be so effective you want the movie to be about them. "The Break-Up" is filled with actors who seem to be auditioning for that role. John Michael Higgins, as Brooke’s brother, is the leader of a men’s choir and tries to turn a family dinner party into a sing-along; this scene might be funny in theory, but in practice it’s ungainly. Favreau and Adams, as the best friends, get whiplash from a plot that requires them to give one kind of advice at the beginning and another kind toward the end, as if they hadn’t been listening to themselves. And Judy Davis, as the art gallery owner, behaves as if she should be carrying a whip. The best supporting performance is by Vincent D’Onofrio, as Gary’s older brother: He does exactly what is required, finds the right notes and is so convincing we hardly notice he is cleaning his ears with separate handkerchiefs.That Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn are such likable actors compounds the problem. They’re not convincing as sadistic meanies, and when the movie makes them act that way, we feel sorrier for them than for their characters. Their problems start in the first scene, at Wrigley Field, where Gary is a jerk who forces Brooke to accept a hot dog she doesn’t want and then insults her date. Why would a girl end up with a guy who acts like that the first time she meets him? We never find out. The next time we see them, they’re living together. Must have been some courtship.

The only reason she is a blip on the movie screen is from people complaining about her.From what I’ve read, the news about The Break Up is not good. Test audiences supposedly hated the ending and it was refilmed to reflect, hopefully, something that audiences won’t hate. I won’t know, because I’m not going. After ‘Derailed’, I vowed not to give Jen any more of my box office dollars. Against my better judgment I saw ‘Friends With Money’. One word can some it up – dismal. Her character was awful, as was her character in ‘Derailed.’ What’s more, she is not believable as any of these people. On the contrary, I totally believed her in ‘The Good Girl’.***Unfortunately, when actors/actresses get cast in a wonderful, long running television series, it can be very difficult for them to go on in other entertainment roles. The Seinfeld cast is a prime example of this curse. It will be interesting to see what happens with the cast from Will and Grace. Will Mischa Barton be able to break out of her Marissa chains? I don’t think she will have a problem. She got out while the getting was still good.My question is, who is choosing Jennifer Anniston’s movies? Does her manager read the scripts first then pass them on to her like E and Vince in Entourage? If so, Jen needs to review the management talent pool because frankly, with these movies she is doing, I think she is embarrassing herself.***I must say, I don’t blame her for falling for Vince. The credit goes to X-3 which dropped -77% on Friday alone and Vaughn who’s coming off a win from Wedding Crashers. What does this mean for J. Maniston? It allows her to play "movie star" for another day but doesn’t give her any street credibility. Think along the lines of Bruce Almighty. Her name was on the top of the closing credits but no one sees that as a J. Maniston film. Poor poor Maniston.

I LOVED Girl with a Pearl Earring! She barely spoke, and had to carry that film, and did an excellent job. Love Song for Bobby Long is another one where she is a completely different character, and there is one whose name I can’t remember, but she was a teenage daughter of people who fled Russia and was left behind, then came to them later after living there with a relative and always had some resentment and wanted to go check out Russia for herself. She had to grow and change in that movie.I think, like Angie, that she feels so much and then can convey it very well, so she has been taking on adult roles for a while now. It’s also why she’s not on the party/tabloid circuit — she’s beyond that. She has other young actresses her age hating her, because she is in a league of her own and she doesn’t care or react to them. I find her fascinating.

Beginning to believe that X fans lack the ability to even be happy for X about anything. TBU is doing OK, VV fans are happy for him. Why one asks are X fans not expressing their happiness for her instead of wasting their time and energy with negativity for the Jolie-Pitts. The Jolie-Pitts are celebrating Angie’s BD with lots of family and love. They are living their chosen lives and not making any attempt to interfere in anyone else’s life. Why then is anyone angry with them? X has moved on with her life and her fans and supporters should move on with her. X has expressed her desire to not be associated with the Jolie-Pitts-to get out of the "Bermuda Triangle". X fans should support her wish. She wants to be known as successful star X, not as only the former wife of BP. So true X fans will support her and stop ragging on the Jolie-Pitts. The mirage that some knew as the "golden couple" is long gone. X has her life, and for all anyone knows VV is truly "the love of her life". Brad and Angie may each just be the true "loves of each other’s lives". They both certainly appear come hell or high water to have made each other and their 3 children the most important part of their lives. I am a Jolie-Pitt fan and will support them together or apart. Angie and Brad "click" for me. The Jolie-Pitts are like a gumbo, putting different ingredients together in the pot, adding file(their love for one another) and achieving success. Good gumbo has no recipe, you just keep working that pot till you get it right. That’s how I picture Angie and Brad, getting together even though both had to be initially very apprehensive but drawn to each other like magnets, working the relationship out between the two of them as privitely as possible, both greatly and overwhelming loving and desiring children, compromising because they both appear to be strong minded individuals, and staying together no matter what others thought or said (from concerned family and true friends about their wellbeing, and from agents and such concerned about possible impact on their careers). Will they last as a couple and family? Who knows? Brad and Angie will determine that for themselves. But I do know that gumbo tastes better and better the more you work the pot.

Everything about Brad is gorgeous, yet he is almost dismissive of these incredible features and gifts, and focuses on being generous, kind, funny, smart, and low-key. That is what makes him sexy. There are many guys who are as handsome, feature for feature, but they are missing the rest of the package. We are not wrong. This guy is incredible, and has been since he was born, it seems. There is always one in every class, every school. You can’t get mad at them. Somehow everyone manages to get by not being them, because many times it’s not all it is cracked up to be.
