"Unconventional romantic comedy" The Break-Up debuted at No. 1 this weekend with $38.1 million toppling over X-Men: The Last Stand, which slipped to second place with $34.35 million. Not surprising since X3 was a load of donkey doo!!!! An editor from People said, "It’s hard to transfrom from small screen stardom to the big screen but [Jennifer Aniston] is a really, really good actress. There’s no question she’s got the chops." ‘So let me get this straight…if it failed, it’s Aniston’s fault and if it succeeds, it’s because of Vince’people said this way before this movie came out … due to Aniston’s big screen track record.
I am so sick of nasty comments about all ppl in this "square"-Technically a triangle has 3 sides, JA,VV,AJ,BP =4 ppl. Anyway-I said a long time ago-JA can do whatever she wants to with her money, tan, gamble, drink or whatever, I am SICK of the criticism from both sides-My daughter is going to see the BU this weekend-I was surprised at myself when she told me-my first reaction was What? Why would you pay money to see JA?" She said I really like VV. Then I apologized because I was so caught up with this bull—-t volley between the celebrities-I aplologized, told her to have a good time, -I am a BAMZS fan 100% I totally disagree with media manipulation to make another person look bad while making yourself look good-I totally disagree with not speaking up when you could give clarification on a situation to set the record straight-There are interviews by JA where she contradicts herself when speaking of Brad and that’s f’d up. If Brad did the same, I would say the same about him- Whatever these 4 ppl do is their business, as far as we know they ALL could be media whores and basically we are paying them to do so if they are-I hope the break-up does well enough for Jennifer to be satisfied and happy-I wish the best to all of them and much love to baby Shiloh-Lastly, I have NEVER seen a VV movie ( I saw mams but he was a minor character) My daughter is quiet and very very compsed-If VV can get her to laugh like she did when she say the wedding Crashers, I must see the movie-I hope the Anniston/Vaughn Fans have a great day and of course Rock on BAMZS/God Bless U all!

hurray it made it i have heard the reviews and they were bad i wanted this film to be a box office hit not essentia;lly because i think it is a good movie but because i wanted jen to remain within the game she has three more films to go and they are all dramas those are they ones i am waiting for i feel those three are what will make her career so jen enjoy this moment and work hard on your next films you will make it whom knows in two years time she might obe n the stage winning and oscar and it will be through it all people damn it i made it till then do i say congrats jen and vince whatever people say em who cares ,their views really do not matter obviouly people love yu and that is why they went to watch goodluck and i pray your happiness, joy will start overflowing t is about time girl and thanks once again vince for standing by her you have shown alot of character and sttrength and damn it do we need more people like you whom know they are not perfect but could care less because this is life and we all are all passing through brad is happy and jen is too time to move on guys and the beat goes on
I think the marketing of the film was poor since it was portrayed as a "romantic comedy". Vince’s script was intended to to GO AGAINST the typical soppy romantic comedy. I think this is why it had so many negative reviews. My husband and I went to see it and really enjoyed it. Will see it again in a few weeks. It is called the BREAK UP so obviously it is not a soppy love story. Very refreshing and very true to life.
Jen did so well at the box office and I am not surprised. I always knew she is such a talented and lovely actress who is just WHOLE. And for those of you very tiny amount of haters who are disappointed that she did so well, well, too bad. You just will have to swallow this one.

I personally hope this movie does well so that maybe then the fans will all go their own separate ways. However it does here stateside, I doubt it will do well overseas. Neither actor has the clout or name recognition that is needed and the script etc. will not translate well into foreign languages. Just as most went to see it because of either Vince or Jen here this weekend; most in Europe and Asia will not because they don’t know who the hell they are. That is just a fact.

THIS MOVIE WAS AWFUL. VINCE DID HIS BEST, BUT ANISTON IS NO ACTRESS. SHE NEEDS TO GIVE THAT IDEA UP.HER BODY LOOKED SO OLD IN THE MOVIE. YUCK.
Dont start celebrating yet, this movie will never make it. Jen and Vince have no chemistry on screen or off. There whole relationship was a lie for this dumb movie.

The real story here is Vince Vaughn in my opinion. Jennifer will always be Jennifer. But Vince is mulitalented and his star is rising. When you compare his promotional interviews with that of Jennifer, it’s like night and day. "Verbal gymnastics" is how the media call Vince’s way of talking LOL!!!. I managed to catch VV interviews and he’s got a snarky bent that I like. He comes across as likeable, witty, self depricating & interesting although tired (those circles under his eyes). In comparison to Jen’s press work, well she didn’t say much. Her pesonality didn’t come across. She was too laid back and let the interviewers to the talking. VV press worked in his favor. He was describing his next project playing Santa Claus’ blacksheep brother Joe Claus, and it was funny. He mentioned that Santa gets all the glory and Joe is pissed off and not going to take it anymore. Funny stuff I tell you!! I see that everyone is gloating about Jennifer and her success without acknowledging VV . Jennifer was no different in this film than her past 4.VV, contratulations…you’re becoming a power player in this industry.
I’m happy Jen got what she wanted–a hit movie and a new romance. Brad got what he wanted–a chance to do volunteer work in the third world, a great love and a beautiful family complete with kids. So everyone is happy, why can’t the BAMZS and JA fans be happy now?
The only reason this movie brought in 38ml, because their was no other movie that came out this wekend. Vince was just as bad as Aniston. These two cant act.
Oh and I agree with the person who said that this film was not one of VV’s best. Having this film be number 1 will enable him to really get the attention he deserves and get project he wants to make.

Loved that opening "photo montage" with Jen’s 100 watt smile going on in almost every frame. You know these two have a blast together in real life. And before anybody starts, don’t know about Vince but do know that Jen gives to her charities just like many other stars. Even Oprah tries to do a lot under the radar and there’s nothing wrong with that. In some ways I prefer that style for myself.

#172 - What the heck is your problem. There are plenty of people her giving Vince his due !! It’s possible this couple brings out the best in each other and they are a good team. Hope they last forever in some way, either as friends or lovers.
