Nike + Apple = Slice of Heaven
If you don’t like running (like me), you’ll want to now. Nike and Apple have teamed up to bring you the Nike+iPod Sport Kit, which basically means your iPod nano and your running sneakers communicate with each another (sneaker sensors will track your distance, time and distance audio prompts, etc…). Damnit. I am so getting this. I’m always jogging anyways with my iPod and this makes it so much more Alias like. Must read more about it on ilounge on what the geeks say.

I would so get this. I hope it’s available in Canada & doesn’t cost an insane amount.Every song would have to be a ‘power song’ for me- I’ve run about a mile total in my life. :)
will it only work with the nano or can i use my video ipod?
Damn I really want this, I’m a heavy jogger and use my Nano when I run anyways, plus I’m always curious how much I ran. But those shoes, GOD, what an ugly design! Guess I’ll have to wait until something better comes along.

Seems like you can only use it with a nano, unfortunately. BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
I dont know how the software etc for the nano would differ, but they won’t encourage you to run with your hard drive based ipod cuz it could damage it, they’ll stick to advertising with the flash based nano.
