OlderBrad & Angelina Press Conference
Swakopmund, Namibia :: Angelina and Brad Pitt confirmed Wednesday that their newly-born daughter Shiloh Nouvel will have a Namibian passport.
"Shiloh will receive a Nambian passport, so we shall return," Pitt said at the couple’s first public appearance since the May 27 birth.
The Hollywood glamour pair spoke to local journalists at a press briefing at the four-star Hansa Hotel in Swakopmund at the edge of the Namib desert where Jolie gave birth by Caesarian Section.
"We couldn’t have picked a better place to have our child," said Jolie, looking healthy and relaxed in a black dress. Pitt agreed: "We are very proud that our daughter was born here".

Pitt said the couple had "done their homework" before deciding on Namibia as the birthplace of their first biological and third child.
"The health of our daughter and Angie’s was imperative. We’ve had absolute top-notch medical assistance," Pitt said.
The couple reiterated their gratitude to the people of the sparsely populated country, which has come under intense media interest since their arrival two-and-a-half months ago.
"We are eternally grateful to the Namibian people," Pitt said. "Namibia is one of Africa’s best kept secrets - until we came of course."
The couple had been "afforded a lifestyle here we could not have anywhere else" and that Namibia has been "a wonderful place to be with our kids."
The couple said they planned to remain in the country for just a few more days before returning to the United States. "Just a few more days. My mother is dying to see the baby," Jolie said.
On the tight security around the couple, Jolie said they had wished this had not been necessary but felt "the birth should be done in a way that was peaceful."
Pitt explained that having "a child with a bounty on its head" before its birth, had brought about the need for bodyguards to shield the family.
On future career plans, Pitt said he would begin work on the latest in the Ocean movie series in August while Jolie planned to concentrate on the needs of her three children - the newborn and four-year-old Maddox and one-year-old Zahara.
The couple were accompanied by Namibian first lady Penehupifo Pohamba (pictured above) regional governor Samuel Nuujoma and Child Welfare Minister Marlene Mungunda as they spoke to journalists for about 30 minutes, posed for photographs and signed autographs.
A day after their daughter was born, the couple announced they would provide 300,000 dollars for the refurbishment of hospitals in Namibia. Jolie, a United Nations goodwill ambassador, discovered Namibia some years ago while filming a movie there. [AP]

Don’t get me wrong, I love the BAMZS fans because they are kindred spirits but there are times where we don’t see eye to eye on some things. What some don’t realize is I like Bush as I like Angelina because they have so many parallels. (Don’t throw things at me now!! I know how to throw them back.)Okay, fork in the road. Obsessed fans will always see AJ as angelic, not as the ‘farce’ she really is. Hiding away like a princess in a castle resort, in a remote part of Africa. There are tons of media mongering examples. Bad enough to toot her horn about giving money to Namibian hospitals..why couldn’t she just do that from her heart instead of broadcasting and giving Namibian govt officials the green light to publicize this? Sheez..we already know Namibia has needs since she arranged a photo shoot of herself traveling around there. To all you who have never nursed yet feel the need to complain about Angie’s dress. Come back when you have had the experience. Easy access at all times is a MUST - I’m betting they went right back to the kids and she nursed PDQ. It is also EXTREMELY uncomfortable to have these giant boobs which make all your clothes not fit right……again, if you haven’t been there, STFU # 201 | Original Curious ————I’ve been there. Many friends and relatives have been there. There are many dress styles that would accommodate her needs and comfort in this situation. Angelina Jolie is dressed inappropriately for the occassion. Low Classy and seeking attention as usual. "ITA, we can’t "LOVE" her only when she’s nice…we either LOVE her or HATE her all year round. Lainey will be Lainey."| Im sorry but that seems a bit like all or nothing thinking to me. I CAN and do take offense if I think she is being unreasonable, snarky, and down right nasty. I’m not fond of X, but I think she has in the past been a bit too hard on her as well. My biggest gripe with Lainey is mostly that I think she is disingenuous. She can be all lovey dovey on a celeb until it appears, for no good reason(nothing bad that the celeb has done) turn on him or her and be nasty. It appears to happen mostly when a source of hers has been wrong about something( i.e. Brad and Angie’s baby is going to be a boy.) Instead of addressing the error of her sources, she turns on the celeb as if to soften the glare of her mistake. Of course she is just a gossip columnist, and one should take all things said by such with a grain of salt.. it still would be nice if there was at least one who you felt would be honest(and no, i dont mean just reporting good things about celebs i like) without seeming to be playing games. Give it to us, the good, the bad, the ugly… just leave out the snark, the pettiness, and the childish grudgeholdings please.

Well, I believe that isn’t something that’s going to ever happen, nor do I believe Brad went into this with blinders on anymore than Angelina did. Angie looks gorgeous as usual, more radiant actually. I don’t see anything wrong with her dress. Hypocrites, don’t forget that in this day and age, it’s even OK for women to breastfeed in public.
