OlderBrad & Angelina Press Conference
Swakopmund, Namibia :: Angelina and Brad Pitt confirmed Wednesday that their newly-born daughter Shiloh Nouvel will have a Namibian passport.
"Shiloh will receive a Nambian passport, so we shall return," Pitt said at the couple’s first public appearance since the May 27 birth.
The Hollywood glamour pair spoke to local journalists at a press briefing at the four-star Hansa Hotel in Swakopmund at the edge of the Namib desert where Jolie gave birth by Caesarian Section.
"We couldn’t have picked a better place to have our child," said Jolie, looking healthy and relaxed in a black dress. Pitt agreed: "We are very proud that our daughter was born here".

Pitt said the couple had "done their homework" before deciding on Namibia as the birthplace of their first biological and third child.
"The health of our daughter and Angie’s was imperative. We’ve had absolute top-notch medical assistance," Pitt said.
The couple reiterated their gratitude to the people of the sparsely populated country, which has come under intense media interest since their arrival two-and-a-half months ago.
"We are eternally grateful to the Namibian people," Pitt said. "Namibia is one of Africa’s best kept secrets - until we came of course."
The couple had been "afforded a lifestyle here we could not have anywhere else" and that Namibia has been "a wonderful place to be with our kids."
The couple said they planned to remain in the country for just a few more days before returning to the United States. "Just a few more days. My mother is dying to see the baby," Jolie said.
On the tight security around the couple, Jolie said they had wished this had not been necessary but felt "the birth should be done in a way that was peaceful."
Pitt explained that having "a child with a bounty on its head" before its birth, had brought about the need for bodyguards to shield the family.
On future career plans, Pitt said he would begin work on the latest in the Ocean movie series in August while Jolie planned to concentrate on the needs of her three children - the newborn and four-year-old Maddox and one-year-old Zahara.
The couple were accompanied by Namibian first lady Penehupifo Pohamba (pictured above) regional governor Samuel Nuujoma and Child Welfare Minister Marlene Mungunda as they spoke to journalists for about 30 minutes, posed for photographs and signed autographs.
A day after their daughter was born, the couple announced they would provide 300,000 dollars for the refurbishment of hospitals in Namibia. Jolie, a United Nations goodwill ambassador, discovered Namibia some years ago while filming a movie there. [AP]

CLINIQUA…im loving the new zealanders right now, they are very optimistic! which for this family is a change, compared to other press (not the fans were always optimistic).
Much has made of the fact that they’re not yet married and that they are not climbing all over each other with lust. Seriously, this viewpoint is rather juvenile if you think about it. These are mature adults not kids anymore. They are not Paris or Lindsey or anyone else who publicly trade saliva. Ok, there is Aniston and Denise, but I don’t think they’ve reached their mental maturity yet. Even the Sex in the City girl herself SJP is not sitting in MB lap in public. I could go on and on with couple after couple, even the unmarried ones - Goldie and Kurt, Susan and Tim, Johnny and his honey(I forget her name). I don’t see any of them smacking in public. They are together and that’s all that counts. Yes, yes I know Angelina with Billie Bob were a sight. But what does that prove? Smacking in public does not keep a couple together. A real relationship is built in private.

If she did not love him there is no way she will be having a baby with him, after all she has been married twice and never had a baby. If he only wanted a baby mama, there are many willing to do it, instead he had a child who is not the most conventional woman.I say these two are more committed than 99% of married couples in hollywood and will go to the end of the earth for each other and their fledgeling family, and that is good enough for me.

Re: LaineyYes, her comments are bitchy, but they are bitchy in general. She is encouraging people to see TBU because she loves VV. I have to assume that she hasn’t seen it yet or she wouldn’t be too eager to promote it. It is possible that B&A’s movements are calculated, but then again, the X’s movements are hardly spontaneous. I say B & A need to do anything they can to guarantee a peaceful life for them and their kids. is there any way to watch the press conference online. TMZ just had a little clip of it. But it was cute because someone said something and Brad and Angie laughed at and turned to look at each other, but that’s all i saw. Anyone know where i can see the rest. They are the parents, they can name their child whatever they want. The name Shiloh also means "the peaceful one". Brad and Angelina have not stated what meaning they believe in, so let’s stop assuming on their behalf. And I have also seen many women wear similar dresses. Rachel Weiz at the Oscars, her boobs were heaving out, and Catherine Zeta Jones showed off her boobs too. Let’s stop being so conservative in thought.
