OlderBrad & Angelina Press Conference
Swakopmund, Namibia :: Angelina and Brad Pitt confirmed Wednesday that their newly-born daughter Shiloh Nouvel will have a Namibian passport.
"Shiloh will receive a Nambian passport, so we shall return," Pitt said at the couple’s first public appearance since the May 27 birth.
The Hollywood glamour pair spoke to local journalists at a press briefing at the four-star Hansa Hotel in Swakopmund at the edge of the Namib desert where Jolie gave birth by Caesarian Section.
"We couldn’t have picked a better place to have our child," said Jolie, looking healthy and relaxed in a black dress. Pitt agreed: "We are very proud that our daughter was born here".

Pitt said the couple had "done their homework" before deciding on Namibia as the birthplace of their first biological and third child.
"The health of our daughter and Angie’s was imperative. We’ve had absolute top-notch medical assistance," Pitt said.
The couple reiterated their gratitude to the people of the sparsely populated country, which has come under intense media interest since their arrival two-and-a-half months ago.
"We are eternally grateful to the Namibian people," Pitt said. "Namibia is one of Africa’s best kept secrets - until we came of course."
The couple had been "afforded a lifestyle here we could not have anywhere else" and that Namibia has been "a wonderful place to be with our kids."
The couple said they planned to remain in the country for just a few more days before returning to the United States. "Just a few more days. My mother is dying to see the baby," Jolie said.
On the tight security around the couple, Jolie said they had wished this had not been necessary but felt "the birth should be done in a way that was peaceful."
Pitt explained that having "a child with a bounty on its head" before its birth, had brought about the need for bodyguards to shield the family.
On future career plans, Pitt said he would begin work on the latest in the Ocean movie series in August while Jolie planned to concentrate on the needs of her three children - the newborn and four-year-old Maddox and one-year-old Zahara.
The couple were accompanied by Namibian first lady Penehupifo Pohamba (pictured above) regional governor Samuel Nuujoma and Child Welfare Minister Marlene Mungunda as they spoke to journalists for about 30 minutes, posed for photographs and signed autographs.
A day after their daughter was born, the couple announced they would provide 300,000 dollars for the refurbishment of hospitals in Namibia. Jolie, a United Nations goodwill ambassador, discovered Namibia some years ago while filming a movie there. [AP]

Regarding Brad’s comment on Namibia (until we got here). There is a short and very tiny video short on TMZ of that remark and after he says it he and Angie look at each other and laugh along with the others in the room. For those of you who feel he was bragging. Lighten up. It was a joke!

Honestly what do you think is up with not marrying? Why not? Do you think that this is Brad’s or Angie’s idea. I for one believe in marriage. But what ever. Anway the dress was a bit much for a press conference. She sure has breasts. Not really tasteful. But again is miling breasts are sexy then whatever. #598-I know how you feel, lies like this make me sick to my stomach. Of course, the Nat Enc timed this to get as much publicity as possible since they could not get any real info. Angie and Brad are human, and this filth will really hurt them now in a time which should be the happiest of times. They looked so happy together today. Only sick deranged liars said Brad did not smile or interact with Angie, he did both in pictures. He looks at Angie like he worships her. But of course they only see what they want to see. But the more adversity they go through appears to have made the bond between them even stronger. They are also very aware people, and have probably known that lies like this were just around the corner. Remember the story that Angie beat up Brad in Paris? That James Haven was the real father of the baby(this is the vilest lie of all and probably hurts Angie the most)? That Angie was still seeing JS, even though JS herself denied it (this came out around Christmas)? That Wyclif is the baby’s father b/c the baby would be black? Remember the story that Angie (who was already pregnant) was with her first husband, and was unfaithful to Brad when they appeared at the fundraiser in NY in the fall, and he totally denied the story? Sadly some will believe this crap, or want to believe it because they will feel that it validates their beliefs about Angie. They will put blinders on and refuse to ever admit that Shiloh has Brad’s face with Angie’s lips b/c they cannot and willnot accept the truth. Thank god Brad and Angie found what each needed in the other in order to make their lives whole. People and tabs that preach hate, and the Nat Enq story is hate about a beautiful innocent baby in its purest form, should be punished. Jared, i’m begging now. It’s one thing to have disagreements but the hatred spewed on this blog is too much. What happened to the filters? I just want to read people’s opinions, not the vile things they wish on anyone or sick and twisted they write. Please fans and non-fans just STOP! BTW: do you people get some personal satisfaction in wishing misery on someone that you don’t know personally? The past is gone. Finito. Let’s look at the present. Which is that Brad and Angelina are parents to three kids. Please stop wishing that they break up or that you somehow know that they will. No matter what your feelings are for them, if you atleast think the kids in this situation are innocent and deserve happiness, then don’t wish this on this couple. We can only predict the future but we don’t know what it holds. Stop trying to sound like you know what the future holds for these two. Atleast for the sake of the kids, you could wish them well. How come we don’t regard murderers and rapists on the loose with more hatred. These two are thought to have cheated. So what. I know you will talk about morals and values. And that’s fine. But half of all married couples in America are divorced. What kind of value system is that? I am not slamming divorced couples.
