Swakopmund, Namibia :: Angelina and Brad Pitt confirmed Wednesday that their newly-born daughter Shiloh Nouvel will have a Namibian passport.
"Shiloh will receive a Nambian passport, so we shall return," Pitt said at the couple’s first public appearance since the May 27 birth.
The Hollywood glamour pair spoke to local journalists at a press briefing at the four-star Hansa Hotel in Swakopmund at the edge of the Namib desert where Jolie gave birth by Caesarian Section.
"We couldn’t have picked a better place to have our child," said Jolie, looking healthy and relaxed in a black dress. Pitt agreed: "We are very proud that our daughter was born here".

Pitt said the couple had "done their homework" before deciding on Namibia as the birthplace of their first biological and third child.
"The health of our daughter and Angie’s was imperative. We’ve had absolute top-notch medical assistance," Pitt said.
The couple reiterated their gratitude to the people of the sparsely populated country, which has come under intense media interest since their arrival two-and-a-half months ago.
"We are eternally grateful to the Namibian people," Pitt said. "Namibia is one of Africa’s best kept secrets - until we came of course."
The couple had been "afforded a lifestyle here we could not have anywhere else" and that Namibia has been "a wonderful place to be with our kids."
The couple said they planned to remain in the country for just a few more days before returning to the United States. "Just a few more days. My mother is dying to see the baby," Jolie said.
On the tight security around the couple, Jolie said they had wished this had not been necessary but felt "the birth should be done in a way that was peaceful."
Pitt explained that having "a child with a bounty on its head" before its birth, had brought about the need for bodyguards to shield the family.
On future career plans, Pitt said he would begin work on the latest in the Ocean movie series in August while Jolie planned to concentrate on the needs of her three children - the newborn and four-year-old Maddox and one-year-old Zahara.
The couple were accompanied by Namibian first lady Penehupifo Pohamba (pictured above) regional governor Samuel Nuujoma and Child Welfare Minister Marlene Mungunda as they spoke to journalists for about 30 minutes, posed for photographs and signed autographs.
A day after their daughter was born, the couple announced they would provide 300,000 dollars for the refurbishment of hospitals in Namibia. Jolie, a United Nations goodwill ambassador, discovered Namibia some years ago while filming a movie there. [AP]

o.k. first, last post in this thread. To Moi Jade, I have scanned through several BP/AJ threads where you have posted the same thing. Many people have corrected you on this point but you fall back on it time and time again. Jen Aniston and Courtney Cox did not, in my opinion, say that absolutely that Brad did not cheat or that they knew for a fact that he did not cheat. They said that they chose to believe him when he SAID he did not cheat. And that does not in any way mean that Brad did not really cheat and if he did may have very likely preferred to lie about it.Big distinction between the two.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~So you have been a lurker here for some time scanning the BP/AJ threadsand you are not sure yourself if BP & AJ really cheated are you? I don’t know what there is to be "corrected on". What does "choosing to believe" mean to you? If I choose to believe something someone said it is a choice betweenbelieving it is true or not true. Wouldn’t you agree? Why do you think they "chose" to believe him? IMO they did because their past experience with Brad weighed heavily on the side of honesty and trust. This is not Smut magazines but written by the actual crew and members of the film making industry. Don’t you think that if it were "TRUE" Brad and Angie cheated, we would have heard some reputable source besides the TABLOIDS come forward and cash in on some juicy info? Let’s be realistic. Everyone and their grandma is trying to make some money off this "mysterious" and incredibly fascinating love story. Billions have been made on in it the last 2 years…from every magazine, to daytime talk shows, tot shirt sales, polls, blogs, songs……. Why hasn’t ANYONE including his ex wife and her friends come forward to say something to make it "ABSOLUTE"?Ya know why? The only truth is known to Angie and Brad, and since know one was around when they did the "..ie cheating act…..all we have or anybody has is the reliance of the person who speaks on their actions.They both said NO and Angie gave her reasons as well.Brad has an incredible reputation among his ex’s as being honest and forthright. He’s a gentleman. Well respected among his peers, his co workers and his friends. Cate Blanchett described him as "chocolate". He is a highly respected individual with not a trail of being a liar, or cheat, manipulative or dishonorable. This is what JA had to go on. This is what Courtney has to go on. Neither of them have come out and made a statement that their is anything more or less to say. They chose to believe him. If it’s good enough for them well it’s damn good enough for me.Now…….in this world of yin and yang for every NO there is a YES. People who just want to project their own lack of trust for men, for marriage, for beautiful women, for HW movie stars and the list goes on endlessly, that is their CHOICE too. If you need" proof" to prove your personal suspicions regarding BP?AJ, you are not going to get it. And at this late date I don’t think it would be believed anyway. So that leaves you with a CHOICE too. One you will make most likely out of your own personal experience. I am tending to sense you DO NOT BELIEVE.I trust my husband so It made the choice to believe Brad relative. I trust my father so I choose to believe Brad. My son’s tell me the truth so I choose to believeBrad.I can relate more to men being honest than I do men being liars. I honor my own truths and put honesty at the forefront of characteristics in people who I proudly will call my friends. Do you see why I personally believe Jennifer? Or I believe Courtney or I believe Brad and Angie……. ? It’s because I understand that people can be believed. That despite all the tabloid sensationalism for profit and gain in the good ole spirit of the USA their is stillintegrity, self respect and honesty and authenticity between people and within love relationships. I am sorry for those that don’t have that experience. From everything I see of this couple they are genuine, open hearted, incredibly generous, fair, and have never to what I have seen been DISHONEST. In fact isn’t it Angelina’s honesty that has all this mud slingingcoming her way to paint her as the "vixen". well I choose to take the antics of youth with a grain of salt and go beyond the acts to the soul of it.Regardless of what she has done in her past she has never given her public any reason not to believe her. She has been up front and honest to a fault. She only hurt herself in doing so. Now that she is a grown woman and like us all who learn from our mistakes she continues to be honest but not over revealing, keeping her private life to what that is to us all. PRIVATE.

I’m mostly a lurker here, but i’m glad to see how articulate and well thought out ur arguments alway are when discussing the often inane comments the haters leave here. You guys rock. A big kudos to all of u. btw, i’m loving the new people mag picture…the 2 pics we’ve seen so far are so simple and yet say so much about how happy and content brad and angie are. The haters will always find something to critisize b/c they’re such bitter ppl, but its really too bad for them, it cant be healthy to be so negative and hateful towards ppl they’ve never met.
