OlderBrad & Angelina Press Conference
Swakopmund, Namibia :: Angelina and Brad Pitt confirmed Wednesday that their newly-born daughter Shiloh Nouvel will have a Namibian passport.
"Shiloh will receive a Nambian passport, so we shall return," Pitt said at the couple’s first public appearance since the May 27 birth.
The Hollywood glamour pair spoke to local journalists at a press briefing at the four-star Hansa Hotel in Swakopmund at the edge of the Namib desert where Jolie gave birth by Caesarian Section.
"We couldn’t have picked a better place to have our child," said Jolie, looking healthy and relaxed in a black dress. Pitt agreed: "We are very proud that our daughter was born here".

Pitt said the couple had "done their homework" before deciding on Namibia as the birthplace of their first biological and third child.
"The health of our daughter and Angie’s was imperative. We’ve had absolute top-notch medical assistance," Pitt said.
The couple reiterated their gratitude to the people of the sparsely populated country, which has come under intense media interest since their arrival two-and-a-half months ago.
"We are eternally grateful to the Namibian people," Pitt said. "Namibia is one of Africa’s best kept secrets - until we came of course."
The couple had been "afforded a lifestyle here we could not have anywhere else" and that Namibia has been "a wonderful place to be with our kids."
The couple said they planned to remain in the country for just a few more days before returning to the United States. "Just a few more days. My mother is dying to see the baby," Jolie said.
On the tight security around the couple, Jolie said they had wished this had not been necessary but felt "the birth should be done in a way that was peaceful."
Pitt explained that having "a child with a bounty on its head" before its birth, had brought about the need for bodyguards to shield the family.
On future career plans, Pitt said he would begin work on the latest in the Ocean movie series in August while Jolie planned to concentrate on the needs of her three children - the newborn and four-year-old Maddox and one-year-old Zahara.
The couple were accompanied by Namibian first lady Penehupifo Pohamba (pictured above) regional governor Samuel Nuujoma and Child Welfare Minister Marlene Mungunda as they spoke to journalists for about 30 minutes, posed for photographs and signed autographs.
A day after their daughter was born, the couple announced they would provide 300,000 dollars for the refurbishment of hospitals in Namibia. Jolie, a United Nations goodwill ambassador, discovered Namibia some years ago while filming a movie there. [AP]

I’m a B&A fan all the way, and I think its STRANGE how there is zero talk of marriage, how they (Angie, in particular) is always QUICK to deny marriage, and how they focus only on the kids. I think its good that they are now, in particular, but what about them as a couple? Are they even together for anything but the kids? I hope so. I believed so…and I’d like to continue to believe so, but why do they never talk about anything in relation to them as a couple, putting aside the kids? And why do they seem to be so strongly against marriage? I think the theory they’re already married is a bunch of do-do.

Suri Cruise–if she exists–was probably being hidden away by her ultra-competitive father until he could check out Brangelina’s baby. Shiloh has upped the ante for celebrity baby girls because she’s so adorable.
For those who have never had children. It is damn near difficult if not impossible to fit into your normal clothes so soon after giving birth.Nothing fits correctly. I can only imagine the pressure of having to dress up for a press conference and not fitting into your clothes.GIVE HER A BREAK

We all knew that once Shiloh was born, the haters were going to come out in full force. Just ignore them.I totally agree with everyone thinking that they are already married.Angie looks FANTASTIC! #132, I agree with you, I love Brad and Angelina and I wish they would get married, I don’t why Angie is so quick to explain that they will not marry and that a ceremony would be nothing. It would make future adopting easier too..and I love Brad and believe that he would want to be married raising kids like his brother and sister. But I guess we’ll see what the future has in store for the Jolie Pitt family.

It is very easy to label people as haters when they don’t profess their undying love for everything related to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. I personally find them dull, boring, fake, self-important and a pair of dogs, but I would never say anything nasty about the children involved in their temp. relationship Lets face it people, you all need to come down on the reality ground and realise that the realtionship between these two people was rushed and based on lust. There is no love between them at all. I give it another rocky two years. 18 months if she gains any weight.

#132: fork in the road, why is it so hard for you to realize that this couple would most probably like to keep some things PRIVATE! They are not obligated to keep everyone abreast of what is going on in their relationship. The kids are a little too hard to deny that they exist, but the feelings they have for each other is nobody else’s business. Therefore, it is not a subject for everyone else’s discussion. Do you go about telling everybody who’ll listen about your own relationships? I believe they are taking their relationship seriously and that they are intense enough one another that they want to keep some things special only to them. Who knows, maybe they’re superstitious. Whatever it is that they decide to let out to the public is what they want us to know. Maybe they’ll tell us their plans whenever the X owns up to her own plans with VV so in the meanwhile, why don’t you find out when that is!

#143 cain - I wouldn’t think it wierd if they would (1) not talk about their relationship OR (2) not get married, but when they won’t do EITHER one, and they can’t say "and to each other" with reference to their committments right now, it looks fishy and smells strangely like their is not really a relationship and that they are ONLY together for the kids. As a BAMZS fan, do I want to think that? HELL TO THA NO! But thats more and more what it looks like to me. Forget about them in relation to the kids…Angie is a woman who used to be able to wax poetic about her feelings for the men in her life, and now she can’t form a coherent sentence or say ONE SENTENCE in reference to the man she’s supposedly with and had a baby with? I just think its wierd, and there is something suspicious about it BEYOND them not wanting to "put their relationship out there" for public consumption. If that were true, then why do they put their relationship with their children out there and talk about them?
