OlderBrad & Angelina Press Conference
Swakopmund, Namibia :: Angelina and Brad Pitt confirmed Wednesday that their newly-born daughter Shiloh Nouvel will have a Namibian passport.
"Shiloh will receive a Nambian passport, so we shall return," Pitt said at the couple’s first public appearance since the May 27 birth.
The Hollywood glamour pair spoke to local journalists at a press briefing at the four-star Hansa Hotel in Swakopmund at the edge of the Namib desert where Jolie gave birth by Caesarian Section.
"We couldn’t have picked a better place to have our child," said Jolie, looking healthy and relaxed in a black dress. Pitt agreed: "We are very proud that our daughter was born here".

Pitt said the couple had "done their homework" before deciding on Namibia as the birthplace of their first biological and third child.
"The health of our daughter and Angie’s was imperative. We’ve had absolute top-notch medical assistance," Pitt said.
The couple reiterated their gratitude to the people of the sparsely populated country, which has come under intense media interest since their arrival two-and-a-half months ago.
"We are eternally grateful to the Namibian people," Pitt said. "Namibia is one of Africa’s best kept secrets - until we came of course."
The couple had been "afforded a lifestyle here we could not have anywhere else" and that Namibia has been "a wonderful place to be with our kids."
The couple said they planned to remain in the country for just a few more days before returning to the United States. "Just a few more days. My mother is dying to see the baby," Jolie said.
On the tight security around the couple, Jolie said they had wished this had not been necessary but felt "the birth should be done in a way that was peaceful."
Pitt explained that having "a child with a bounty on its head" before its birth, had brought about the need for bodyguards to shield the family.
On future career plans, Pitt said he would begin work on the latest in the Ocean movie series in August while Jolie planned to concentrate on the needs of her three children - the newborn and four-year-old Maddox and one-year-old Zahara.
The couple were accompanied by Namibian first lady Penehupifo Pohamba (pictured above) regional governor Samuel Nuujoma and Child Welfare Minister Marlene Mungunda as they spoke to journalists for about 30 minutes, posed for photographs and signed autographs.
A day after their daughter was born, the couple announced they would provide 300,000 dollars for the refurbishment of hospitals in Namibia. Jolie, a United Nations goodwill ambassador, discovered Namibia some years ago while filming a movie there. [AP]

I too believe they married some time ago. As MalibuMom pointed out on another post, no petition for adoption has been filed…quietly and without fanfare, they married before a JP or Magistrate, then filed for Petition for Name Change…IMO, I believe they married around the first of the year, maybe during Holidays.
Oh, these Maniston fans are going berserk because Shiloh is gorgeous, Brad and Angie look blissful, and Angie has cleavage to die for. And Maniston still looks dried up and is the beard for a gay guy. No wonder her fans are cranky.

I lost my post 3 times.Any how, to defend Lainey…I’ve been reading her columm for the past 2 years, I really like her forwardness and straight no nonsense style when speaking her mind….IMOP she is 100% Bamzs fan, really, and she is not an X fans at all…you have to read all the articles about x and Lainey’s opinion on X…. We can not praise her when she agrees with us and criticize her when she is not…it’s her own conspiracy theory and opinion, I respect that. I still like her and she is cool in my book…so that is that.
#150 - as I said, I don’t think they need to go on and on about their relationship. Being private is one thing, and I kind of LIKE that theyr’e private. But not getting married coupled with being so overly private that they say NOTHING about their committment to each other when they are talking about their commitment "as parents together" is flat out suspicious to me. I don’t think their reluctance or flat out opposition has anything to do with having to have a big wedding - they don’t. They could get married tomorrow in front of a judge and their kids if they wanted to. And them getting married would probably be LESS chaotic than this hoopla about Shiloh Nouvel.

Yes, Angie used to talking about her previous relationships openingly and look where it got her. I just think that they want to keep their personal relationship private and they have a right to do that. I don’t think they need to broadcast their feelings to the world, so people can be happy. Because it does not matter what BP and AJ do, people are going to be questioning their decisions or actions, like you are. #166-I totally agree woith that, its just wierd that they’ve become so protective about their relationship together that it starts to create doubt. I mean part of the reason I love them is because they just seem to fit togther-they had this amazing chemistry in Mr Mrs smith and seemed so passionate, and now-when they speak of their commitment to one another, it is rare and its only in reference to their commitment as parents to their children. Even if they had a small cremony, I would be really excited for them-and personally I think it would shut up a lot of X’s fans that are skeptical of Brad and Angie and feel they will break up by the end of the year. Anyway, I hope that they still will get married this summer in a small beachside ceremony at sunset with just close family and friends…and their kids of course!
