The Devil Wears Prada Stills
The Devil Wears Prada opens the the Los Angeles International Film Festival next week on June 22nd but opens next week the following week on June 30th. It’s up against the mighty Superman Returns! YIKES! The Devil Wears Prada stars Meryl Streep (Miranda Priestly), Anne Hathaway (Andy Sachs), Adrian Grenier (Nate), Tracie Thoms (Lilly), and Simon Baker (Christian Thompson). This is a case where I actually think the movie will be better than the book. The book had some interesting spots, but Weisberger isn’t that great a writer. Reading the book gets to be like listening to a friend complain incessantly about their job…at first it was kind of interesting to hear about the boss’ craziness and by the end it gets annoying. I think the movie seems to be using the interesting parts and honing in on the message that you shouldn’t stay in a situation in which you get abused. That message seemed to be an afterthought in the book.
OMG How dare the Devil wear black? WTF? Doesn’t she know she’s copying Angelina Jolie. No, wait. …maybe she’s copying Jen Aniston?Or maybe she’s just copying Angelina Jolie copying Jen Aniston. Whatever. LOLI do want to see that movie too!

I’m really excited to see the movie. At first I was a tad bit upset with casting Anne Hathaway in the lead, but I guess I’ll just have to reserve all opinions until after I see the film.Adrien Grenier looks great, although I still can’t picture him as a wonderfully galant leading man, to me, he is Vincent Chase…the guys who slept with everyone south of Boulevard. ;)

Oh please…. Meryl Streep has nothing of a high end fashionmagazine editor… She looks like she did in 101 Dalmatians… unfashionable hair, unfashionable dress, unfashionable glasses… yuck… This movie will be baaaad and Anne Hathaway, as pretty as she is, will be nothing more then the actress that player a princess in a movie little ladies adore. Period. Not much depth to that actress…

that wasn’t even her in 101 dal. that was glen close……i think she she’s being an actor playing a part. & she’s getting told how to play the part. she’s always good in her movies. true ledgend. ann hathaway- no comment. never seen her act really.
oh yeah, she was on brokeback mnt. riiiiigggghhht. she really didn’t leave much of an impression other than the fact that she was nude. maybe she will now
The Devil Wears Prada is the summer movie I will go see. I love Meryl Streep she is a my all time favorite actress.
Ok I was lucky enough to see this movie at an advanced screening. It was really good. The casting was excellent. I was a little thrown off when I saw Adrian Grenier as Nate, but it totally worked. Meryl Streep has an amazing performance… oh my goodness and if you didn’t L-O-V-E LOVE Stanley Tucci before this movie you will afterward. Agh… I’m super excited for it to come out on DVD so I can watch it over and over and try and figure out how I can scrape up the money to get some of the fantastic clothes Ann wears in the movie. TO DIE FOR!! Oh and Meryl Streep rocks a different pair of Oliver Peoples throughout the whole movie and they are great… great frames…. Ah… Can’t wait to see it again!!

Can we please leave angelina and jen out of this?I can’t help but notice that Meryl does look like she could be acting in 101 dalmations.i heard the book was good, i think i’ll check this movie out. it looks good. but i wonder if it will survive since it’s going against superman returns.
True, it was’nt her… sorry. The book was a nice summer or airport read… I really enjoyed it… but it looks sooo bas as a movie… The trailer is **** and it looks like the costume designer raided the trach bins behind chloe or TJ Maxx. YuckAnd Anne: get a clue: bangs were in 3 years ago. You look like a catholic school girl !
Uh, I really doubt Anne chose her own hairstyle for the movie. Typically a character’s look is at the discretion of the filmmakers, not the actresses. Also, Meryl looks fierce. I think her hairstyle is perfect. I have trouble imagining what style would be an improvement for this character- the white makes it distinctive, the length is flattering and age appropriate… Something like an Anna Wintour bob would just look ridiculous on her (as it does on Anna!), ultra short is not very interesting anymore, longer hair would be too young for her…etc.

The person that did the costumes/wardrobe for this film also worked on Sex and the City, Patricia field. She’s the red head sitting next to Meryl, in the 9th row, 2nd pic. Anne has admitted to being an Angelina fan and she actually interviewed her for a magazine…I forgot which one but I know that Jared had it up a couple of months back. I’m an Angie fan so please, no one take this the wrong way, but Angelina and Jennifer are not the first actresses to wear black and to use it as their signature color…Audrey Hepburn. It’s not as if Anne had that much say in her wardrobe/costumes, Patricia was in charge of that, not her.
This movie seem good, I like Meryl Streep, I have almost seen all her movie since she just started out in the TV movie. a very versatile actress . I ‘m gonna this movie .
Where’s the white Hermes scarf? I love clothes/fashion and enjoyed this book immensely so I can’t wait till the movie opens. Unfortunately, I live in Australia so it will probably be a few good weeks after its opened everywhere else.
I will see this for this sole reason- Meryl Streep! She is so beautiful and she can pull off anything! I love her and she is so beautiful!
