# 37 | cinemuse THANK YOU

I thank God there are people like her today. She, like most of us, have the chance to help others in desperate need and she is doing so. I admire her and I hope that some day i can be courage, giving, and loving as Angie.BAMZS 4-eva.

Today is World Refugee Day. I hope that those who complain about her attention towards people of other countries will at least spend time thinking about how they can make a difference in whatever cause they believe in.I wish I had CNN to see the interview

Videos of Angie on CNN. Previews of the AC interview:http://edition.cnn.com/video/Scroll down until you see BEST OF TV• Inspiration for life (3:55) • Angelina on being a mother (:21) • Jolie on humanitarian relief (:47)

Alicia that is a great video. Thank you for sharing it with us.

How to help: Refugee agencies(CNN) — The sixth annual World Refugee Day is Tuesday. The United Nations unanimously adopted a resolution in 2000 to remember refugees on a special day each year. The following agencies give more information and ways to help the more than 15 million people left homeless around the world: http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/africa/06/16/refugeeday.agencies/

Alicia what a wonderful video and the song is so approriate. Many thanks!

No matter how many times I see this video, I still tear up at the ending when Angie is listening to the man and starts crying. It boggles the mind that anyone can doubt her empathy for the suffering of these refugees, and her dedication to her work for them. I can only imagine that these people refuse to acknowledge the pain and suffering going on in different parts of the globle for fear that it will disrupt their own secure lives. Thanks for the videos cinemuse and Alicia!Thank you Angie for being an inspiration to all of us!

What a tear-jerker! THat is an excelent video. I hope lots of donations come in from it!

If you go to Angelina’s Journals and Books on the side, you can read entries that chronicle her travels since her book, "Notesfrom My Travels" came out.http://www.unhcr.org/cgi-bin/texis/vtx/help?id=3f94ff664 And for all of you doubters, if you check out the pages of the other Goodwill Ambassadors and look at the list of former ambassadors, you can see Angie does a hell of a lot more than probably anyone else has. This is not exactly the actions of someone who is only doing this for publicity! She really really cares! GO ANGIE.

# 59 | mrs. smith |-excellent post. It truely is ming boggeling that people can’t see what a caring, giving and loving person AJ is.cinemuse and Alicia thanks again for the wonderful videos.

I know I have posted this at a thread before, darn it I can’t remember where, either I am getting old or JJ spoils us too much we have many threads:)This video was on BBC Hardtalk extra. It is appropriate for this thread, it is about AJ’s humanitarian work. It is wonderful but long (22 minutes). When you have time you should watch it.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/hardtalk/4098423.stm# 61 | Dancer | thanks for the link, I’m going there now.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt should be banned from Namibia, say charity campaigners.Namibia’s National Society for Human Rights (NSHR) branded the couple "colonial overlords" and accused them of taking over the African country when Shiloh Nouvel was born this month. An NSHR spokesman said: "To shut down a national border so she can give birth in peace is a massive abuse of power."The human rights campaigners claim Angelina and Brad "used heavy-handed and brutal tactics" to persuade the Namibian government to agree to their demands.

#65: No matter where you go and no matter what you do, there will always be some toes that will be stepped on. It was their government’s choice to ban unwanted paparazzis from coming into their country and it was the local journalists complaint of not getting access that made it an issue. No civilians were arrested and put into prisons to be tortured. This is a cry that’s already been heard but didn’t get much play.

i appreciate all your kind words, Angie is so wonderful, the videos just flow
