One more thread before the weekend’s up! People magazine reportedly pulled in an extra $2 million in additional revenue for its cover picture of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s baby Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, for which it reportedly paid over $4 million. They sold at least 2.3 million copies on the newsstands, which is 800K more than usual.
In extra weird (and fake) news, a genuine baby Shiloh diaper containing actual poop is listed on eBay. The current high bid is $348,000 and here’s what the freak bidder had to say: "I’ve already built a glass case with a stand and spotlights and everything, so that the diaper of the child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will be unmistakably, right there. I’ve sold my car, pawned my flatscreen TV and mortgaged my house to win the auction this diaper will be mine!"

That is not hobo IMHO. That is just plain bohemian…..and I love that earthy….. seductive…….non white collar casual and free look. ya know he use to have that ole beat up truck too. That’s when I really fell for him. The man can be anything you want. I loved his looks in the Mexican. The movie kinda sucked….but he was cute cute cute. When is enough enough……..? ah.never.

Apparently very well - to the tune of at least 2.3 million newsstand copies, say insiders at Time Inc. People normally sells about 1.5 million a week on newsstands. Its total average circ is about 3.7 million. That was with a sticker price of $3.99 - 50 cents higher than normal. "We were very pleased," said People Managing Editor Larry Hackett. The extra newsstand sales were probably good for $2.25 million in additional revenue. And while the celebrity mag didn’t recoup the payout, it did drain newsstand sales from arch rivals that week - and reaped big dividends in publicity for grabbing the hot property. Star magazine, which was selling more than 850,000 a year ago, sold over 770,000 copies, while Us Weekly, which usually sells about 1 million, sold just 874,000, according to one source, although another put the sale at its average: 1.01 million. The baby Shiloh cover turns out to have been the best-selling issue of People in the last five years. OK, you’re on. But I think Scarlett would have to lose a bit of weight because Brad seems to like skinny limbs. And I think after AJ he would return to the wholesome image and Scarlett seems a little unstable. Jessica Alba, however, appears like goody two shoes — no tattoos and no attention-seeking behavior, which would be a good rebound, so my money’s on her. Plus, I can see her ooh-ing and aah-ing over Shiloh when Brad has her for joint or full custody.
