Morning All!I LOVE BAMZS, but I’m not digging on the house. It looks cold, inpersonal. The Malibu house seems a lot more homey. JMO. I hope this was BEFORE the renovations. He does have a lot of talent. YOU GO BRAD!KEEP ON ROCKIN BAMZS!

Sometime ago I read an old interview of Angie’s. She talked about how she didn’t have the knack or any real passion for decorating her home. How she liked antiques but didn’t know what should go with what. I think she and Brad are a perfect match. He’s passionate about interior design and she really couldn’t care less LOL. If you remember, some of the reports out of Paris said that the Jolie-Pitts had sotheby antiques delivered. It seems like Brad takes Angie’s love for antiques into consideration when furnishing their homes.

Despite my earlier crayon joke, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is NOT the Los Feliz house that they’re supposed to be moving into later. IIRC I read that BP owns 3 houses in the LA area - Malibu, Los Feliz, and Hollywood Hills. I bet the folks at Bradforums.com or Simplybrad.com would know for sure.

**********YING & YANG************Angelina loves luxe antiques style (like I do) and Brad is a modern afficionado. There can be a happy medium. Trust me, I know. If there is a compromise in styles, they will have a fabulous home. If it’s all Brad’s then it will look like a bachelor’s pad.I’m all for kitchen & bathrooms being modern. with the latest modern gadgets & design. I love the whole bathroom sink bowl on top of the counter. Fabulous! Bathrooms that are copies of Japanese gardens, etc….Landscaping can be modern as well as backyards and entertainment centers. Master suites should be as luxe as possible. That’s how I would blend the two styles.Can you tell i watch HGTV?I don’t count artwork, plants, flowers and bric o brac picked up from travels because they can fit in any style of home. I’m sure they will be very happy in any home and may need a bigger one with as many as they plan to have.

Well the good thing for the ones who don’t like it is that you don’t have to live in it.And I think it is more to be appreciated as architecture art and as less of a home. In that sense I like it. # 30 | Lynn CampbellI’ve mentioned before that I once lived in the neighborhood of Los Feliz, and one of my fav passtimes was "climbing the hill" to look at all those beautiful homes. It’s where old hollywood first built their homes, and it’s still just as gorgeous. Everytime I’m there I make tracks through it, and also to Griffith Park which it borders. Lots of foliage, lots of privacy. You see the pic’s of Gwen Stefani walking in what looks like a normal neighborhood with sidewalks etc? well she lives up there as do a lot of other celebs, but it’s not so ostentatious as BH, Belair or even Malibu, and has more of a family feel to it. I think Angelina is gonna love it. jpf

With every picture I have ever seen of BAMZS, I’m sure Brad and Ange will make their house a home for everyone, to satisfy each member of the family’s needs, not just one person. I think the house is very ZEN. Open….. Simple…inviting and natural. No gawdy moldings and heavy curtains and it is a house that looks like the windows let in a lot of the outdoors natural beauty. The lines of the house are linear and graphic……the furniture curvature and oval and circular. Kind of like the earthand it’s simplistic form. I love the natural pine floors.l environmental ??? lRegarding the leather and sheep. I do leather work……mostly deer and cow. Most cows that provide the leather for furniture are already raised and killed for food consumption. To make good use of the skins in true tribal /environmental spirit is utilizing resources that would otherwise be deposed of. People don’t go out and just "kill" these cows for sport. Nor sheep. Every part of nature has it’s purpose. In Canada as well as America, the population of deer became so overpopulated that had they not been hunted the ecosystems become unbalanced and many other insects, birds, flowers, trees become endangered. Large scale losses of agricultural crops, landscaping, and gardens are also damaged by animal overpopulation. Recent data suggests that deer are now causing nearly $1 billion in farm, garden, and timber damage annually in the U.S. Impedance of woodland tree and native plant regeneration’s extremely costly.For the past ten years or more, deer have been continually browsing virtually all plant material under five feet in height throughout many forest areas. The end result is a loss of many native plants and wildflowers and a significant decrease in the number of young sapling trees that will replace older trees as they die back. The long-term stakes could be dire with erosion and the potential loss of many hardwood forests. Also there is a higher incidence of Lyme disease then ever before. Sheep are also found to have varying years of overpopulation. I do think that the sheep are more unique in their grazing needs. There are many areas in Mexico that have an overpopulation of sheep vs. Big Horn sheep which is a more limited species. We can’t just go off and start spewing environmental bru ha-habecause we don’t like someone. Get the facts. Do the homework. then have a debate. # 100 | Not sure -I don’t see anything dangerous with those stairs, (children and adult hurt themselves all the time by just doing nothing, my nephew yesterday hurt himself as he walked into the closet door without looking, so now my sister has to remove the door?..) My friend has a home at Palos Altos, half of her house is on steal, and the lower half of the house is anchor by the lime stone, the basement is carve out like a cave like with wood beam holding it up and lime stones stair, very uneven, she has so many stairs way to the garden, to the guest house, to the back yard, and most of them are uneven blending in with nature, she has this one path way (3-4 feets wide) carving out from the side of the hills, lead to down to a private rocky beach area…it’s like a house for tarzan. Any way, she has twin daughters, (5 years old) and 2 nephews (age 3 and 6). These children are everywhere, bare foot most of the time, climbing stairs, running down the path way…so far, beside a few minor skin scrach or a few falling down while running is part of life, but nothing major. My niece and nephew love the house as well, I think as we getting older, we are more cautious and always think of what if?, we lost the sene of adventures, freedom, we constraint ourselves with fears…I think we should just take off our shoes and running with the children…

So, please, stay the course with me while I connect the dots. OK?Frankly, I get tired of all these media phrases (“on the ground,” “if you will,” etc.). But frankly, also, that’s where the craziest of my crazy ideas comes from this week — repetition. You know — saying the same thing over and over. And over. “Catapulting the propaganda,” as Mr. Bush might say. Repetition. I woke up this morning and saw what must have been the 50th story about the death of TV producer Aaron Spelling, the 300th story about Al Gore’s global-warming movie, the thousandth story about Hillary Clinton’s “fundraising savvy,” the millionth story, each, about Iraq, bird flu, hurricanes and the “war on terror,” and finally — I’m not making this up — the billionth story about Angelina Jolie and her baby, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, born in the movie-star equivalent of a manger in Namibia and destined for a glory as yet unknown and, presumably, unscripted.Which is why I decided that what America needs, right now, is a monarchy, and that Angelina Jolie should be queen.Like I said, it sounds ridiculous, but hear me out — I’m just connecting the dots. Not only does America need a monarchy, but, in my opinion, it needs an absolute monarchy. Bush. But the problem with Bush is that he was elected — or not elected — into office, and we need to do away with elections altogether. First, they’re fraudulent. Third, we need someone at the top with genuine spiritual values and a reputation for good works, such as Angelina has, not some cross-eyed Presbyterian cracker with shoulder padding. And this person would have to be a woman, because, let’s face it, a woman as ********** is easier to sell. We’re going to need some advertising to get the idea of absolute monarchy across to the four or five hundred Americans who still believe in representative democracy. Under Bush, most Americans have proved beyond a shadow of doubt that they don’t care a hoot about democracy, but those few remaining holdouts are a hard nut to crack, and only a woman with iron lips can do it.But the real beauty of Angelina Jolie as queen of America is that her reign wouldn’t change a thing. Congress could go on doing what it does best, which is passing money around to itself and its donor base. The Supreme Court can stay just as it is, since it works for the Ruler already. Bush and his friends could keep on having wars in the Middle East — only they’d have to pay for them out of their own pockets and send their own children to die there, because Angelina doesn’t like war. No, not at all — she’s against it, except as it provides her with an opportunity to adopt abandoned babies and give them silly names like Zahara. Angelina could even keep the tattoo on her arm that says “Know Your Rights,” but since she’s the only person in America who’d have any rights, this would need to be seen a personal rather than a collective expression.I rush to assure you that, as queen, Angelina’s husband, Brad Pitt, would play no political role apart from Prince Consort and farm stud. I suppose he might be allowed to help Angelina decide which war-zone should cough up their next adopted child — Somalia? Darfur? South Central L.A.? — but that’s as far as it would go. Of course, as an absolute monarch, it would be Angelina’s choice what to do with Brad in the long run, but consorts have been throttled behind staircases before, and I’m not sure anyone would mind if Ocean’s 13, 14 and 15 never got made.One last thing: Someone will need to look out for Jennifer Aniston. First, she needs better parts in better movies. Then she could have a baby of her own and call it Gettysburg Passé or something just as cute as Shiloh Nouvel. ((((STANDING OVATION FOR ‘me’ aka #126!!))))Excellent post - that really does lie at the heart of it, and when you add in the fact that AJ looks the way she looks…well, then the hate is intensified 10 times over. Along with several of the reasons you state, prior to Angelina, Brad hadn’t really dated anyone, that was technically prettier than he was (Thandie Newton comes to mind…she’s beautiful), but other than her - the women were, ‘meh,’ in the looks department. Not that they didn’t clean up nice, and dress stylish - be it Paltry or Whine-iston, they DO have a kind of fashion sense…but in terms of bone structure and classical beauty, sorry - they just didn’t cut it, and Brad always came out on top. Angie’s the first woman who rivals HIM in that area. I think if they ever do walk down the red carpet together, it will be the first time, that people will literally not be able to take their eyes off either one of them. With Jennifer Whine-iston, the fascination was cleary *who she was with* - end of story. Same deal with Paltry. For the first time, it’s not only who Angelina’s with, it’s who Brad is with as well. He wanted things to work with JA, but the haters always forget - SHE is the one who filed for divorce. I like this JJ site. You guys have great posts. I was not much of a BP fan during the Golden Couple era. However, I am now a fan since he hooked up with AJ and have learn more about him. BP seems more mature and less hollywood glam now. He is a compassionate man who cares about others and wants to make a difference in the world. I am sure that his fan base has grown internationally as well as culturally. I try not to get into celebrites’ personal lives because it is a fine line between being a fan and all out obsessive fan.
