Lucky You Stills

In Lucky You, director Curtis Hanson (L.A. Confidential, Wonder Boys, 8 Mile) brings us a story based in the world of high-stakes Las Vegas poker. Huck Cheever (Eric Bana) is a blaster—a player who goes all out, all the time. But in his personal relationships, Huck plays it tight, expertly avoiding emotional commitments and long-term expectations. When Huck sets out to win the main event of the 2003 World Series of Poker—and the affections of Billie Offer (Drew Barrymore), a young singer from Bakersfield—there is one significant obstacle in his path: his father, L.C. Cheever (Robert Duvall), the poker legend who abandoned Huck’s mother years ago. As these two rivals progress toward a final showdown at the poker table, Huck learns that to win in the games of life and poker, he must try to play cards the way he has been living his life and live his life the way he has been playing cards.

Lucky You production stills have been released! Besides Bana, Barrymore, and Duvall, the versatile and gifted actress Jean Smart (Martha Logan on 24) also stars in this movie along with Debra Messing, who plays the sister of Drew Barrymore’s character. (Smart is pictured in the stills, Messing is not.) Robert Downey Jr. also makes a cameo in this film. Lucky You hits theaters September 9th. Looks like this might finally be a film that permits Darlin’ Drew to exercise her ACTING chops! We have seen enuf of Drew being adorable on screen while being a mogul off screen. It would be sheer heaven to see her do her thing as a serious actress. Which she is.

OMG!!! ….I LOVE Eric Bana!! ….such an awesomely talented actor and a simply GORGEOUS man to look at!! WOW, I will definitely be going to see this movie. I’ve seen every movie that Eric Bana has been in and this will be yet another exciting one to watch. This man is so beautiful !! In my dreams I have always been married to Gary Oldman (although I’m 15 years his younger) but after seing Troy (were I barely remembered Brad Pitt starred in) I became a widow and marry you, you are so sexy and such a great actor!!!! I love you, and by the way we have a baby boy… his name is Eduardo and he reminds me so much of Hulk!!!!
