I swear I love justjared and the pics and the comments. I CAN’T HELP BUT NOTICE THE SAME ONES POSTING OVER AND OVER, SOMETIMES TAKING UP HALF THE PAGE WITH AN ARTICLE I HAVE READ ELSEWHERE. Where when and how do you have the time to gossip about people you dont know?.. The hate this JA/BP/AJ thing has brought out in all of you is very childish………I enjoy just jared, but i cant bring myself to read all the stupid comments and this is rare I even comment. I just can stand all you know it all hateful people.

If the addiction was not the cause of the divorce and if her husband has been sober for years, meaning he was sober when they first separated, then why mention it at all? How is this going to help someone who is battling an addiction? Tacky tacky. And on top of that, she backhand compliments him by saying he always supported her and was never jealous of her success.. but that it was HIS FAILED ACTING CAREER that he was most down about. I admire that about him; he wouldnt even say her name in interviews. Too bad it took GP over 5 years before she admitted her part in their break up. # 1182 | the real tita Personally I’m having difficulties summoning any sympathy for Chad Lowe at all. THE MAN LIED TO HIS WIFE FOR YEARS about his addictions. They were together for a hell of a long time (13 years?) and although I haven’t read the VF article there’s nothing in Hillary Swank’s past that leads me to believe that she was anything less than helpful and supportive to him in their marriage and his career goals. He’s a mediocre actor who doesn’t have the pretty face of his brother nor a fantastic body. That’s why his career hasn’t gone anywhere. If you’re not mega talented in HW, then you’d better have the face or the body of Adonis. That’s how the game is played. He’s actually had a very successful career directing episodic TV shows, so it’s not like he’s been sitting at home twiddling his thumbs.Hillary Swank is a two-time BEST ACTRESS Oscar-winning actress. Hillary Swank DESERVES to be on the cover for that reason alone. The fact that she has to agree to reveal personal details of her marriage to get that cover is a sad indictment of the state of the media, not her as a person. If this were Angelina we wouldn’t be questioning whether or not she’s on the cover of the VF out of merit or as a publicity stunt. We’d just say, "Ooh goody…Angie’s on the VF cover!"Frankly, after the way we have defended AJ all these months it’s disheartening to see so many people here decrying Hillary Swank for something that AJ herself has done. The fact of the matter is that Hillary Swank SHOULD be on lots of magazine covers. The fact that she’s managed to keep her personal life to herself while she’s gone about her business and winning 2 Oscars is a miracle. The fact that she has achieved what she has WITHOUT having publicized her personal life should be commended, not derided. The fact that she has to compromise that privacy now for the sake of a magazine cover that should be her’s by right of her talents is pretty damned sad.

Sory but Swank crossed a line. Angelina will not have to give an interview talking about her ex husbands drug problems. There’s a big difference. Swanks is not on the cover because she is a great actor. Its because she is telling secrets. Good for her that she takes repsonsiblity for her actions but speaking from experience you don’t talk out of turn about someone elses addiction, esp when they are STILL trying to deal with it privatly. Its not her life to talk about. They shared a life she decided to end it, they both did. But she doesn’t own his life story. So now he has to deal with this down the road. In addition to the "hows it feel to be divorced" he has to deal with "how does it feel to have your ex wife admit your addiction to the world before you do." Not classy. Good actress but she really slipped with this one.

The fact that she has to play the media’s game to get that cover the problem.And no, Angie won’t give interviews NOW discussing her exes and past drug use, but she did it plenty of times in the past and we have always staunchly defended and supported her for being "open and honest" about her personal life. I also disagree that it’s not her life to talk about it. It is HER LIFE because HIS ACTIONS causes THEIR problems. It takes two to make a marriage work and if one of them is constantly lying to the other, then it becomes THEIR LIFE that’s affected, not just his.Chad Lowe’s addiction problem was going to hit the tabs anyway, so he’d have to deal with it one way or another. The fact that his ex-wife was the one who broke the news probably isn’t going to come as a shock to him. The dumbest thing US ever did was renew Janice Min’s contract for 3 more years. She talks way too ******* much, and has engendered ill-will among the very people that she’d cream herself to get a cover from - that in and of itself, is the height of stupidity. Just to use this latest article as an example, in one fell swoop - she’s called everyone in the so-called ‘triangle,’ famewhores, especially Aniston, implying with her ‘hair comment,’ that that’s all she’s got going for herself, and that her divorce, has made her a bigger celebrity that she would have been otherwise. She says the same thing about Brad & Angie, to a lesser extent — but where she gets them, is she actually calls their relationship an ‘adulterous affair,’ despite denial from all parties concerned. It would be different, if she couched it by saying - that that was the ‘perception,’ of them - but she says it as fact. Smarrrrrt lady. Heh.
