Angelina Jolie's Tattoos
Before I head off to Key Largo, here’s something you BAMZS fans can munch on while I’m gone. How many tattoos does Angelina Jolie have and what do they all mean? I’ve highlighted a whole bunch of them already and you can inspect the gallery. Have at it!

ew. how trashy. she would never get into the gated community i live in, thank god. reminds me of what the late great jacqueline kennedy had to say about women who do this.
Here is a recent quote from Angelina and a good picture of her. http://www.time.com/time/quotes/0,26174,1206631,00.html

#48really, what’s his name?I didn’t get tattoos so people could look at me.I’m an artist and I drew them all.People will know me for quite sometime before they realize I have any.I’m not a bitter bull dike.Just had a wild urge to leave a commentDon’t worry, i won’t do it again. It’s not worht it.
I think fugly and nicegirl are jealous of the woman who is not afraid to wear her art on her body yet still manages to look so good. The reason her tattoos are famous is because of the woman herself. That is why people are reminded of Angelina when they see a woman with ink. Unless they are tattoo enthusiasts who are quite familiar with ink artists and famous tattooed women, they wouldn’t be interested in details. I bet nicegirl is popular in conventions but out in the real world, people’s interest would only be how much tattoos remind them of the real famous people such as Angelina, who else? It really sucks when you’re not a celebrity but then again, what can you do except suffer for your art in anonimity. Or complain to who would listen coz you’re a nobody.
I keep wondering when Brad is going to start acquiring tatts. And I think it would be cool to seek the young children with them also. What class. Those tatts are going look great at about 75. I have nothing against tatts. I like them but good grief she’s gottta out of control. For a being such a beautiful woman why is it necessary to ink your whole body. She’s freakin’ weird to the max.
#48, John… that is so true. When I got my first ink I was told that because of Angelina Jolie, inking has become so very popular and very big business especially here in Toronto. It is no longer a taboo although for some it still is.

Thursday, Jun. 15, 2006“Now I know how Brad and Angelina feel.”— Kelly Kulick Responding to how it was like to now be a celebrity of sorts. Kulick is the first woman to qualify for a season-long exemption on the Professional Bowling Association Tour, a 20-event circuit that begins in October.
tattoos are obviously angelina’s way of expressing her beliefs and commemorating events in her life. i think they add a touch of the exotic and mysterious to her personality. as for me and tattoos, i don’t have any. i’m terrified of pain, although i’ve been told that they only burn a little. still, i’m a wimp. if i were to get one it’d be on my back between the shoulder blades.
# 49 | nicegirl So what if she did ? (although that’s not what she says and I have no reason NOT to believe her)Why do they have the pics up if not to be used/inspired by? What IF someone walked in and saw a prayer/saying/meditation/scripture and said "yeah, that speaks to me"……what’s your issue with that? So what if a person had something in mind, and then they saw a rendering of it on the wall of a shop and they say "that’s the one." jpf
i dont aj will cover her whole body with tattoos.if you notice’she gotno tattoosin her both legs not even in her feet and ankles.i’ve seen a lot of celebrities have tattoos on those parts.aj knows where to have tattoos that looks sexy and attractive.
So because you chose to hide your tattoo’s (people have known me for quite some time before……..blah blah blah) Yours are better and mean more?? Again go away!!!
# 46 | Original jpf | - I really hope that you get to do it, the idea of getting a tattoo with that kind of inspiration behind it, is just incredible. I think that I will try and find that book. It sounds like a great book to read
# 27 | nicegirlAre you sure all of your tats are originals? I doubt it. she erased Billy bob because she was probably drunk out of her mind during that whole time. Why the hell would she want that name on her now? Why don’t you go tatoo your whole face. now that would be real original. go try to look cool to someone who cares. you being compared to Angelina is in insult to Angelina.
NICE GIRL to answer your question, the tattoo artists is Mark Mahoney who owns the Shamrock Social Club. All those guys up there are well known for their work … and well liked. Mark has tattooed just about everybody who’s ink is worth photographing & admiring, so get a clue before you run around trashing someone’s work. She didn’t pull any of those tattooes of just some wall. Give her a little bit more credit than you give yourself. The tiger & the Cambodian saying are not found in any "Cambodian ink shop"!! Please!
# 53 | gitaneThanks for the paging… and for another fic.OT, I see two people who didn´t use to come here and now are babbling… Pfffff, talk about hypocrisy!
#55 TrishGated Community. You have got to be kidding. BP/AJ have 3 estates they call home , not to mention world travelors. I think they can do without your Gated community. Think outside the box for a change.

Just remember anywhere ON bone will hurt the most. The fleshest, fattest part hurts less, but yes it does burn a little. The worst part for me was on bone and large outlines, the coloring in part was mild.
people’s lives change, they shouldn’t be damned for wanting to erase certain aspects of their past. like she was really going to keep billy bob’s name on her arm after she divorced him, just because tattoos are suppose to be permanent. i bet there are some real bad asses who’ve probably had tattoos similar to those up on a parlor wall. i’d like to see nicegirl confront some of them for their "unoriginality" and maybe they can knock some sense into her. i agree she probably got inked, not just to document her present life, but also to look cool. she’s probably just bitter she’s not getting enough attention for her so-called original tattoos that she has to run her mouth and get attention here.
I can relate to the personal meanings she’s had inscribed, as I know that the tradition of marking oneself is as old as humankind. It even dates back before the era of written language. Symbolic expression upon one’s body is a way to communicate identity without spoken language or literal conversation. It leaves much open to liberal interpretation, which is why certain people are drawn to it and others are repelled. I relate to Angie’s tatoos in the expression of sacrifice and positive intention; we are all transformed by events in life, but certain creative people need unconventional outlets for such transformation, be it tatoo or writing or drama or prayer, etc. A few years ago I received threats by parents of two of my students, promising physical harm. (I teach at a rough school.) This experience transformed me after an incident involving a restraining order against one very angry man (who by the way never gave a reason why he was so upset.) In dealing with such a circumstance, I found a greater strength that I drew into a tatoo that symbolizes a shield over my heart. It represents the Sun Dance, and important tradition from my tribe which is believed to make a person invisible to bullets. Since getting this particular tattoo, I can earnestly state that I have felt no fear at being stalked or threatened in any way. It’s a reminder of this incident, along with a few other memories that I’ve endured that have made me stronger.Of course, this is my own story, but I do think it parallels many others who chose to be tattooed. Each has its own significance which can never be washed away with time during our lifetime. It shows how pain transforms a soul. Just ask a holocaust survivor what those numbers mean; it may be heartwrenching, but it is certainly REAL.
