I know some here don’t like Lainey, and I don’t always agree with or like everything she writes, but she’s usually pretty spot on with the major points she writes about the Jolie Pitts and she says they’re happy, and together. The thing that I don’t understand is why both the funds and rebuilding efforts are so slow. This is unbelievable in a bad, bad way. I gave and lots of Americans gave $$ to Red Cross and other organizations and my employer sent health care professionals there. Is no one in charge of the coordination of efforts? Where is homeland security? Why is nothing being done? Is the mayor by himself? What about the state governments? I am very nervous and worried about this hurricane season!

It goes without saying that both Angelina & Brad love their children dearly but as far as the adults being together solely for the purpose of the children as has been suggested is inane. I absolutely adore and admire Brad Pitt. He is an amazing man who is right where he wants to be. At the end of the day, haters will hate but Brad is going home to a wonderful family who think he’s the best thing since sliced bread. If he never wins and Oscar, it won’t matter to him. If people stop going to his movies, it won’t matter to him because nothing can compare to the love Angie and his children give him on a daily basis. He is blessed and he is loved and he knows it. Congress voted to get rid of FEMA, which wasted $1 billion of people’s money. Now that is very staggering. I see absolutely no one taking charge of the situation at the local or state or even national level. I too am worried about this hurricane season. It seems as though the only way NO and all the other places that were ravaged by the past hurricane season will get rebuilt is through the good will of average Americans and because of celebrities like Harry Connick Jr, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, and now Brad Pitt among others who are trying to use their influence to help the city and its citizens. I am very disappointed and disgusted with the way the aftermath of Katrina was handled. I donated money and other items that were needed but I just feel completely outraged by the fact that after one whole year, the streets of NO appear to be still in a mess. I know there are people there that are helping but the process is too slow and I wonder how many people will be willing to come back by the time everything is rebuilt.

I lived there is the early 90’s. I love to move from place to place – get bored very easily and being a military brat and stint in the Navy has led to that lifestyle. It’s sad that the only thing people at Jossip get from this interview is some stupid rumor to add to the tired old bermuda triangle story. I looked at the 6 final designs and I have to agree that the “Rebuild Renew: Sustainable Design for the Holy Cross District” by Ken Gowland looked the best. What’s great is that this person is from New Orleans himself and now he can help contribute to rebuilding process of his city. It looks like many of the desigers had the same idea to use planted trellises to help cool the buildings. I guess it’s a commonly used thing.

I watched Brad’s interview this morning and I was overwhelmed by how much he is in love with his family and his life. No doubt this is upsetting to many people who’s mainstay is to try and hurt both Brad and Angelina. The fact is, they are of no consequences. Welcome back Jared and thanks for the new posts. I saw the interview with BP and was inspired by his committment and love for his family and his desire to help New Orleans. I love how the critics pick one statement and make it their headline. These critics must not have seen the destruction and devastation surrounding them. It is so sad that a year after Katrina not much has been done. Those critics who complain that BP put up $100,000 of his own money for this design contest and argue about how come he didn’t give more are sadly lacking in judgement. This is the intital phase of the contest and not the entire building process. I wish that people would think before they hate. These bloggers and web site caters to this hate and keep this nonsense going. This man is in a contented phase of his life. He is not concern with Hollywood and its trappings. Everyone knows that one year you are the hottest thing around and the next year you cannot get a part.
