Something is happening to you. This is not for … you’re doing more and more. Man, I got kids now. And it really changes your perspective on the world. And, you know, I’ve had my day. I’ve had my day. I made some films and I’ve really had a very fortunate life. And it’s time for me to share that a bit.
Angie says that having children really changes things. It’s true. It changes … it completely changes your perspective. And certainly takes the focus off yourself, which I’m really grateful for. [laughs] I’m really grateful to them.
You tell … I’m so tired of thinking about myself. I’m kinda sick of myself… I can’t do justice to it anymore than any other parent can. You feel that you want to be there and you don’t want to miss out on anything… And it’s a true joy. And you want to be there for them if they need anything. It’s a true joy.
Love. Yeah, it’s … oh, a very profound love. Yeah.
Wonderful. Best thing I ever did. You know, you can write a book, you can make a movie, you can draw, paint a painting, but having kids is really the most extraordinary thing I’ve ever taken on. And, man, if I can get a burp out of that, that little thing, I’ll feel such a sense of accomplishment.

Brad Pitt recently teamed up with the non-profit group Global Green to try and spur green-friendly building in the Crescent City. I’m baffled because the people here on the ground have not gotten the money yet. They have not received restitution.
Nearly a year after Katrina, Brad Pitt sees first hand a city still ravaged. We can get in the car from this spot and we can drive for two hours and you will see this. We will see more of this. And it’s staggering. It’s unsettling.
By some estimates something like half — 50% — of this city is still abandoned. Yeah, it’s shocking. In one of our greatest cities. But you see it, it’s house on top of house on top of car. And this is a story you’ll find street after street… Imagine going through the trauma of this, of watching everything you own be swept away, maybe loss of life, and then sitting in this limbo for a year. Wanting to get your life back. But not knowing whether it’s even possible. Are there gonna be schools here? Are the hospitals gonna be up and running? Are your neighbors gonna be back here?
To this shattered city Pitt is bringing a new idea called green design — that is, a way to rebuild using materials that are less harmful to the environment, and cheaper for people to live in. Right now 45% of our pollution comes from the creation of our buildings and the operation of our buildings, which is a staggering number.
Not only are you talking about it, you put some money into this project? Yeah, sure I’m sponsoring this competition. I’m invested in this competition.
About 100,000 dollars? So far. But my goal is to see something tangible, to see something built that can become an example, a template … a flagship for other people who are facing rebuilding.
What do you say to people who react by thinking, you know what, this type of housing is too far-fetched for people that needed houses yesterday? Absolutely. And building quickly and building with as little labor force as possible. We are sitting here in the middle of New Orleans and they have a shortage of homes, rent rates are through the roof. A family living here is struggling with $100 a month in electricity bills, $200 dollars a month and you can get that .. you can knock that down 90 percent, where it’s $10, $20 dollars and it is possible. And relatively easy as soon as we change our building practices.

If Brad had mentioned Angie in the interview, people would of said that he was flaunting his relationship with her. We all know the man is head over heels in love with the woman. It’s written all over his face.KEEP ON ROCKIN BAMZS!
i what i really noticed about the interview is that his face really lights up when ann curry mentioned what angie says and when he’s talking about his family…this man is for sure deeply in love!…..
I forgot to add Brad did not look old and beat up.He looks damm good for a fourty-two year old man.I have a 46" HD TV and believe me it shows every wrinkle and mole.You should see Terri Hatcher or VV in HD closeup,yuck!

As someone who is deeply attached to New Orleans, I think what Brad is doing is just great. And I believe he will find a way to build a few of those eco friendly homes even if he has to raise the funds himself coz well, he is worth US$200m or more and you, the deep and so intelligent thinkers will be still be just sneering anonymously - doing very little of value. TMZ.com is also running with the "I’m kinda sick of myself" heading on their site for the interview, and also a lot of negative comments, they have missed the whole point of why he made that statement. (ok - taking deep breaths). Somehow all this hatred is somehow still tied to X fans and I just don’t get it. Brad was in his 40’s and wanted children, is that so unusual? I’m beginning to understand that those who want to define Brad and Angie by X are the ones who write like this. They are stuck in the past but times have changed, it’s a new day. The vision will continue to move on with or without you. Long live the Jolie-Pitts.
He really seems like a down to earth guy…..funny, relaxed cool…and boy am I glad that he decited to grow his hair out again!!

Hi all. I’ve been lurking but I am getting so frustrated with how people totally twist Brad’s and Angelina’s comments.Everything they say is twisted into something completely different. Even if they answered every question with a simple yes, no, or no comment, I have no doubt that all the magazines, websites, and haters would still twist their words.

oh jared! how we’ve missed you! i missed you so much that i’m doing a naughty and posting from work!brad is so wonderful. i could just sense that he wanted to gush on and on about his kids, but he stopped himself. it’s so great to see good people living their dreams, being happy and stopping to help others along the way.
I have no doubt that all the magazines, websites, and haters would still twist their words. # 170 | stardust——————————–I think the negative comments from other blogs are part of a sustained campaign to discredit Brad and Angie. Brad and Angie has certainly caught the world at its fee. Shiloh’s photos are the most expensive ever (I guess the final amount will run to $10 million or more). Some people/groups with vested interests are threatened by this. We are lucky to have JJ’s board to present another viewpoint.

ITA with you Stardust. The reason the haters have to nitpick is, because they can’t criticize B&A’s grandcauses, that would casts them, haters, as petty. I don’t understand how you can hate somebody who wants to help make the world a better place to live. Even, I, would love X or Paris Hilton, if they decide one day to embrace a worthy cause and go on and on about it.
We should not be surprised at these headlines. I used to be shell shocked but now I’m getting used to it and I am really sorry for all these cheap entertainment sites. I am thankful I come to this site to get first hand information about this couple. I am well pleased with them. The truth of the matter is that the tabloids and all these enetrtainment people themselves are the ones that are not interested in the issues that Brad and Angie discuss, they are not interested in the sufferings of other human beings but only the gossip about Brad and Angie’s life. They ignore all the important issues and make innuendos about the little things that Brad and Angie say about themselves and their families. To them they have to have those headlines to attract people to them or their sites. They are the sad ones. They say that Brad and Angie talk about themselves, they choose to forget that someone asked them the questions. But let’s take solace that Brad and Angie are being recognized by the magazines and institution that matter.Angie has U.N. Citizenship of the WorldAngie has U.N, humanitarian award.Angie has been given honorary citizenship of Cambodia.Brad - 15 People that do America great, Newsweek Mag.Fans, the best is yet to come.
