Name one woman who doesn’t have some emotional problems. Brad’s family is an exception to the norm. The % of those of us who had messed up childhoods because of one of our parents or both had problems out number the percentage of those who grew up in a very secure homes with both of our parents present. # 1521 | me |+++++++++++++++That’s why I said "deep-seated emotional problems". Everyone’s got baggage. But not everyone is as married to their issues are some of the women Brad has chosen. For all their dissimilarities, X and AJ actually have quite a few commonalities emotionally. Both are from divorced families. Both divorces were caused by the husband’s cheating. Both were raised mainly by their mothers. Both carry residual anger toward their fathers for deserting the family unit. Both have a parent they don’t talk to. Both are unable to forgive that parent’s transgressions. Both have trouble letting go of their emotional hang-ups. (Although Angie’s done better with that than X.) What I’m getting at is that even though we all have baggage that defines who we are and who it affects our relationships, not everyone has the same amount of baggage or as serious an issue that’s preventing them from being truly and completely happy, with not only themselves but a partner and family of their own.There are plenty of women - even in HW - who have less baggage and fewer fears and are less complicated than the women Brad gravitates toward. I just think he LIKES complicated women and he LIKES being the knight in shining armour who’s trying to rescue the fair maiden. There’s nothing really wrong with that. She did finally grow up. I don’t think she holds resentment against her dad anymore, I think for her it’s more like the issue is settled in her mind.
