Hollywood beauty Kate Hudson and two year-old son Ryder Robinson cooled off with a dip in the ocean along the renowned Malibu shoreline yesterday morning. Kate returned to the states a few days ago after promoting her new film You, Me and Dupree with co-star Owen Wilson at the Australia premiere in Melbourne. More pictures in the gallery including Kate (looking very well styled) leaving Hugo’s Pizza Restaurant this past Monday in Kings Cross, Sydney!

Awwwee I love Katie !!!!..Ryder is a sweetheart , I love his hair !!! lol Katie says when he is 3 she will cry soo hard when she gets it cut lol..it’s a Jewish thing and being a tad jewish:) she likes the tradition!!..Cool lil Dude!!!

not sure what planet you’re livin on, but most kids are not potty-trained at two, closer to three.
You got almost everything right JustJared - except the premiere was in Parramatta, a city in NSW that is part of the greater Sydney area. Melbourne is in another state altogether and a thousand or so miles away. I didn’t hear about a second premiere there so I’m sure it was just Parra. Plus, if you say she’s leaving Hugos of Bondi then she’s really back in the heart of Sydney.
Oh and the person who said Ryder shouldn’t be wearing diapers. First of all, that’s not entirely true. Toddlers DO NOT have to be trained by 2. It’s not a hard and fast rule for when your toddler has to BE potty trained. And also, Ryder appears to be wearing his swimming diapers, not regular ones so even if he was potty trained, you’d still want him to wear the "lil swimmers" while swimming.

That Malibu water is rated one of the most poluted in So. Calif. I wouldn’t put a toddler in it.
To the idiot who said kids should be toilet trained by age 2? get a life! I hardly know any children that are fully trained by 2 - you either have miracle children or dont have a clue.
OMG christina Some kids are slower than other’s boy’s are very lazy not all kids learn that kid god your one of them that just wants to moan at anything……… Plus they at the beach so he is more than likely potty trained but no loo’s round so if he needs the loo he is just going to wee himself cause they cant hold on that little
She is such a cute mama. And she’s not cutting his hear until he is three in the traditional Jewish fashion. They compare the boy to a tree and a tree doesn’t bare fruit until it’s three, hence the not cutting of his hair. I think it’s sweet. He’s a cute kid, and where did you ever get the idea that a kid had to be potty-trained by two? That’s more rare than it is the norm.

Seriously, what kind of ****** land are you people living on who think that being potty trained before age 2 is odd. EVERY kid I’ve every known (in my family and the children of my friends) have been potty trained well before age 2. Some kids develop later, sure, and some have problems preventing them from developing "normally", but a lot of times parents of kids who are potty trained late are just lazy ***** who don’t introduce their kids to the potty and put the time into training them. Kate comes across as the lazy type. Oh, and cut his ******* hair for christ’s sake! It’s not cute.
Chuckie, the only ****** in ****** land is you (oh and maybe all your so called family and friends with children). there is NO LAW and no pediatrician on this planet that says there is a hard fast rule that toddlers need to be potty trained by the age of 2. So just take a chill pill. It’s also not a sign of lazy parenting. That’s just the only thing you can think of to say. It’s disgusting that you would say that. Most parents have their own reasons for when and how they potty train their children. And I’m betting they are a whole lot saner and smarter than your ****** ****.

That is not a normal diaper. It’s a Little Swimmers. They are great for little kids because they don’t expand in water, and they’re disposable. Even if he is potty-trained, Kate may use those for swimming.
Hi Lissy. I don’t know who told you it’s a Jewish tradition to cut hair when a boy is three, but that’s a bunch of "caca’. I think it’s just an excuse on Mum’s part, but there’s not a Jewish guy I know who’s parent’s waited until he was three to cut his hair. Kate is a pretty girl, but her movies are awful! She’s another Jennifer Aniston, except that Kate is 10 times prettier than JA. Not that I’m a Kate fan, because I’m not. I’ve seen several of her movies and she plays the same person over and over again. She’s fallen into that "Meg Ryan" category. Unless she picks something that will truly show her range, she’s going to be another Goldie — made a few and none after.
By the by, I have visited the beaches of Malibu and have found them a bit disgusting. I was tempeted to go into the water but after I saw several things floating on the beach from the water, I said, ‘No Way’. The beaches of Southern California are the most polluted beaches in the US. Many people, especially children, have become ill due to prolong time in the water. All that monies spent on living near the water, and finding out the water should be ‘off limits’. Not cool. Yuck!!! Now I know why people have pools, even thought they are near water.
Thanks Maria for explaining that cos I hadn’t heard of that before and I have several Jewish friends who are moms. Also, thanks Leis. I just think it’s harsh to judge something as important as potty training.
#26, THOSE DIAPERS LOOK LIKE THEY’RE EXPANDING TO ME.AS FAR AS POTTY TRAINING GOES. WHO CARES. ALOT OF KIDS END UP PEEING IN THE BED ANYWAY, (WHILE IN GRADE SCHOOL, UNLESS YOU’RE OLDER AND HAVE SOME PROBLEM).
