Good for her! If everything that’s been in the magazines lately is true, then she probably needs a break and some time to fly by herself and be "free spirited." Her life in Malibu sounds like it’s under constant scrutiny. Perhaps this will help her to feel like more of an individual again and will help her and Brad to get back on track as a couple, provided that what the mags say is true. When you have three children, sometimes you have to make sacrifices and not do high risk activities. I’m a working mother of 2 kids both 2 years apart. I worked till right before day of delivery (planned C-section) for both and was back to work 8 weeks after birth . It’s not phyiscaly being home that make you a good mom, it’s the quality time you spent with your child. likewise, a couple could be married for 7 years but hardly spent any quality time together with spouse versus another couple who is newly wed for a year and spent 365 productive quality time together . Yes, da truth, I hear ya on the part about overhearing stupid-ass conversations about Brad and Angie. There is a woman I work with who said she was so fed up with hearing about them and their baby. # 368 | gitane Not to remain on the downer trail, but….I’ve been to many of them, and the last one just 5 wks ago, but the one that really got me was my maternal grandmothers. She was such, and still is a force for me, and she loved life so. She wrote a regular column for her local paper, she painted, traveled, was a an advocate for the poor, and just a force who just didn’t stop until she had no say in going on. I remember leaving first the layout, and then the gravesite and feeling more sad that the life of our family, AND the party would be staying behind, and alone, while we went to congregate, eat, drink, cry and laugh, and it just bummed me so. I love the thought of the commraderie, but hate the part that preceeds it and I rather everyone jump to the good stuff. jpf

There’s also films like North By Northwest, To Catch A Thief, An Affair To Remember, Indiscreet, My Favorite Wife, His Girl Friday, The Awful Truth, Arsenic and Old Lace, Suspicion, Notorious, The Bachelor & The Bobby Soxer, Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, The Bishop’s Wife (which was re-made with Whitney Houston & Denzel Washington), Charade, Gunga Din, That Touch of Mink, and None But The Lonely Heart. I can’t come up with one single current actor who could play ANY of these roles convincingly, let alone ALL of them!I’ve seen Sunset Blvd a few times, but I’m not a big fan of that movie. However, I love "All About Eve". That’s Bette Davis at her finest and it reveals behind the scenes theater just as compelling as Sunset Blvd reveals the inner-workings of HW circa the mid-50s.
