Israel just murdered 60 people in Lebanon. 36 of them were children. Are you saying that the press in US didn´t write about that? People in europe are furious to say the least. And to be frank, every one are wondering why US is so cautious about their comments. Israel are slaugthering people out there and that´s a fact. Mel´s career is hardly over. He has his own points of views and a that makes his movies very unique. That´s always interesting. I hope he´ll battle his alcoholism and continue making great movies. How about if I went around and slurred ALL white men, and called them ‘evil perverts,’ because the profile of most child molesters are white males? According to the same logic you’re using for Mel, all of those statements work and make sense - right?? If Mel had went off on a government, or even Israelis that would have been totally different than what he did - which was SLUR, and CONDEMN everyone from Jesus, to Einstein, to Natalie Portman. It’s also just one more reason how you can explain the death of 6 million people in the 20th century, and how it happened so easily. Give yourselves a hand, for creating an atmosphere and attitude where it could happen again - and not just to whatever your concept of ‘jew,’ is — but to anyone who doesn’t look like you and espouse your beliefs.

In a world where the president can get blow jobs from some bimbo in the white house and still be hailed as a great president - where a socialite can become even more famous for making a porno movie with her boyfriend - where drugged out movie stars can make glorious comebacks and two-bit actresses can get in car wrecks and run wild - Mel will be just fine. Anna, I know it’s difficult to believe that people you like can do bad things, but this is NOT the media saying it. The police refused to release it BECAUSE he said those things and then the media accused them of favoritism and they released it. Cliniqua-I usually support what you write but this time you took it too far. You have every right to express your opinion but atleast don’t do it in such a deragtory and offensive way. You don’t have to like Mel, hell you can hate him for all I care, but next time when you want to express your opinion, try be less offensive. If had said what you wanted to say without offending everyone, your opinions would have sounded more reasonable.
