Jake Gyllenhaal: Poetry in Motion
Just got a tip from one of my readers that director Stephen Gyllenhaal held a poetry reading last night at the Midnight Farm in Vineyard Haven out on Martha’s Vineyard. Papa G read selections were from his very recently published book, a collection of poems called "Claptrap: Notes From Hollywood". Wife Naomi, daughter Maggie and Jake were there for the reading. Amy Brenneman and Brad Silberling (director for Moonlight Mile, the movie Jake did with Susan Sarandon, Dustin Hoffman, and Ellen Pompeo) also were in attendance.
Peter Saarsgard (and Natalie Portman) were not present for the reading. Peter did attend when Papa G gave his first reading in NYC a few weeks ago, but Jake was in L.A. at the time. Stephen will give another reading in SoHo, NYC in October 2006. More pictures in the gallery of a shirtless Jake last weekend on the side of the road in Malibu after a bike ride…
UPDATE :: Jake also reportedly got himself a brand new tattoo three days ago on his inner right arm… he’s currently headed back to the Big Apple. Let the Jake Gyllenhaal tattoo watch begin!

I can’t believe that he’s got a tattoo now. Maybe it looks good but it was that nice to look onto his strong veiny and incredible sexy arms…
Maybe the tattoos are for a movie role and aren’t real? Otherwise they are just ugly.
Here are three Gyllenhaal poems:

Robert Frost it is not. Nor T S Eliot. In fact, I’d say Marangelou (or whatever her name is) writes better poetry than this.In fact an obnoxious ***** I knew in college wrote better poetry. I think Stephen G. should go back to directing.
