Ryan Phillippe: Flag of our Fathers
Ryan Phillippe dons camo and ammo (upper inset) on the San Antonio set of his latest untitled war film. The actor also stars in Clint Eastwood’s World War II drama, Flag of Our Fathers, opening in October. Phillippe, who stars as a soldier who refuses orders to return to Iraq after being sent home to Texas, takes a group snap with his comrades, including Channing Tatum (lower inset).
Here is a compilation of candids and promos pictures of Ryan Phillippe in Flag of Our Fathers. I wasn’t around last week to post them but enjoy them now! Check out the trailer for the Japanese version of the film called Letters from Iwo Jima. The Japanese film will focus on the Japanese perspective (more of Ken Watanabe’s character) but the American version will obviously focus more on the perspective of its American characters — Ryan Phillippe and Jesse Bradford. The American trailer will be available next month. FOOF opens in theaters nationwide on October 20, 2006. More pictures in the gallery!

Actually, Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima are 2 different films. Clint Eastwood is making two movies about Iwo Jima, one from the American perspective and one from that of the Japanese.
Thanks, Badtz! I edited the entry to reflect your thoughts –
