OT TC being "let go":Just a reminder,Paramount’s chief Brad Grey is Brad Pitt’s partner in Plan B. The general public won’t realize this but this is a big move in the industry. Stay tuned # 679 | Frenchy ++++++++++++++++Actually I think the movie industry is probably applauding Brad Grey for having the guts to cut TC loose. It’s no big secret that Cruise’s last 4 or 5 movies haven’t had a huge profit margin - especially not with TC getting a huge salary up-front plus points. Cruise got $25MIL-$30MIL for WOTW; $25MIL for MI3, $20MIL for MI2 (which he had also points on AND produced). I would think this was a move that was under consideration long before Brad Grey took over Paramount/Vantage last year. Companies don’t just decide, based on one year’s returns, to dump someone as big as TC was. I don’t think that the industry is going to see that as any way being a decision by Brad Grey that’s based on favoring Brad Pitt. Plus, I don’t think TC’s production company produced movies for anyone other than himself. Plan B does and they had box office returns of nearly $1 BILLION last year. That’s going to impress the board of directors at Paramount more than TC’s little ego-driven production company. The other thing to consider is that Paramount listed his personal behavior as being one of the reasons they dropped him. I think this has to do with his active Scientology recruitment on his movie sets. When they were filming WOTW he apparently ticked SPIELBERG off a number of times by insisting that crew members go to these stupid Scientoloweirdos seminars once or twice a week. Apparently this is something he’s done on his last few movies. That should have been a clue to everyone that the wheels were coming off his wagon!I looked up his movies returns at Box Office Mojo for the last 10 years…and all things considered…I’d dump him, too. Take a look at the returns versus the production budget. Plus, IIRC the ratio that studios spend on publicity is said to be about half as much as the production budget. So for MI3 the production budget was $150MIL, add another $75MIL for publicity and you’ve got a total cost of $225MIL.He’s had several movies top the $500MIL mark, but I the studios didn’t see a whole lot of that profit - Tom did! That’s why TC has $50MIL LEAR JET that he can LEASE to "friends" who are being hounded across the globe by the razzi!MI3 - Production Budget: $150MIL==============Domestic: $133,501,348 34.0% + Foreign: $259,660,663 66.0% ———— = Worldwide: $393,162,011 War of the Worlds - Production Budget: $132MIL==============Domestic: $234,280,354 39.6% + Foreign: $357,459,025 60.4% ——– = Worldwide: $591,739,379 Collateral - Production Budget: $65MIL==============Domestic: $101,005,703 46.4% + Foreign: $116,657,543 53.6% ——— = Worldwide: $217,663,246 The Last Samurai - Production Budget: $140MIL(Domestically this movie didn’t even make back it’s production costs. Brad’s still smoking? No wonder his skin looks like ****. # 702 | Running+++++++++++++Brad’s skin is fine. The **** is in your eyes. It may have been deposited there by the fan.

It’s getting to be so predictable now:1. Jared posts new pictures of Brad and/or Angie.2. BAMZS fans (like me) rush to the new thread and oh and ah about them.3. JA fans would spew their bile, e.g. Brad is a cheater, Angie is a homewrecker, his mom hates her, Angie is a ****, a cutter, hates her father, she’s doing this for attention/PR/media manipulation, Brad is not too bright, he’s her puppy, ETC. ETC. ETC. They would also say poor Jen, she is a saint, she never said anything bad about Brad/Angie, she’s a victim in all of this, how would you feel if you were the dumped one, she’s so much happier with Vince now, ETC ETC ETC.4. BAMZS fans would counteract with interview and magazine (not tabloid) interviews, cite sources and incidences and back up with facts and reliable quotes.5. See #3 above. Also JA fans would say they have the last word, don’t bother they are not posting anymore, ETC ETC ETC6. BAMZS fans would again cite sources to dispute the allegations.7. See #3 above.8. Jared posts new pictures of Brad and/or Angie. And so on and so forth.

Money for Charity @ 08/23/2006 at 2:41 am

Offer Shiloh up to People Mag. Not like it hasn’t been done. Take Shiloh to the same park as Maddox, following the BBT bust-up. How about a trip to the same book/toy store visited with Zahara? # 778 | Easy Solutions ————————Your suggestions although welcomed just lack creativity and originality. Not too much money for charity there. I guess Brad and Angie are much wiser to think of other schemes to generate more money for the under priviledged. Perhaps another exclusive with people mag on Christmas week?Shiloh, the pouty little one is the youngest charitable person ever. While still inside her mom’s tummy, she got $US 600,000 for Haiti Yale, then the $10- 20 million Baby photos shown world wide. This kid should be included in the Guiness book of record for having the most expensive photo in history and for being the youngest charitable person ever.

I’m glad she is perhaps, taking a turn to directing a short film with her friend"–You sound just a bit pompous as they you believe yourself to be more informed that insiders. Be assured this was not a week-end project that popped up last Friday. If you don’t follow the events of Jennifer Aniston’s life as closely as you do others, perhaps you should not be the one to sit in judgment. Perhaps? # 689 | To lylian | Sorry, It was not my intention to sound pompous or to suggest that directing a short movie is a weekend project. I’m sure its much more then that. I will be the first to admit that I’ve not followed Jennifer’s events very closely. I said perhaps she is taking a turn to directing because she is co-directing.Officially, co directing means equal responsibility to directing. However, in real life, when 2 people share a responsibility, there could be great synergies, great dysfunctions OR 1 person taking the lead and the other actually taking a much smaller role. It’s like renovating a house. Some couple work happily together to produce a home which combines the best of their visions. Other couples get into a divorce coz they can’t agree. Another scenario is when 1 party to the couple does most of the work, sources the fabrics, the colour combinations, the furniture, the arrangement of that furniture and the other party has veto rights. In the last scenario, the couple may officially be co-renovators, but one party has done most of the visuallising and work. So, as it is not clear to me how the co-directing will work out, I have written, "perhaps taking a turn to directing…" That’s all.

# 807 | briseis |exactly. It only gets fun once the thread gets a few days old and most of the haters leave (one or two pop however) and then most of the bamzs fans can talk like they always. I’m mostly a lurker but I love to read the comments by the Brad and Angelina fans. The comments are insightful and entertaining when the haters are not around. I’m so tired of this back and forth arguements. It’s useless and there is nothing achieved by it.

# 806 | Passing Through …..LOL# 807 | briseis ….ITA…..and **** those *******….stupid idiot most of them….instead of brain, their head is full of **** and maggots….sorry fellow bamzs fans….just need to exhale and rant….good night and good luck….same time same place hasta la vista amiga/os bamzsers!!!

# 804 | Vera | ***I don’t think there is a US release date yet for AOJJThere are pretty pics of Angie as a blond from the Interview photoshoot. http://www.team-jolie.com/You have to be a member to see all the pics but you can see four small ones on the front page.

# 803 | Passing Through Regarding TC being fired by Paramount…you are so correct about the behavior. They probably didn’t like his couch-jumping and his criticizing Brook Shields for using medications for post partum. Remember him arguing with Matt Lauer and calling him a "glib." I used to like this guy in his Top Gun days…things change a bit.

thank you Alero!

New Star Cover http://popbytes.com/archive/2006/08/brads_mom_cant_stand_angelina.shtml # 709 | bradlurker ++++++++++++++++++Geez…this sucker is pretty lame, Star. It’s about what I’d expect from Life & Style Weekly. Every time I tout the Star’s inventiveness the very next week they print a story that could go down in the annals of history was the worst piece of fabricated drivel ever. And to think I thought last week’s Life & Style idiocy would be hard to top. Way to go Star. Not.All of these stupid break-up stories just remind me of what Lainey said the other day - total lockdown with the Jolie-Pitts so everybody is making stuff up. Illogical things - like Brad’s mother doesn’t like Angie and begs Brad to go back to X. Yeah…right…just what ever 42 year old man wants…his mother arranging his love life. Lame, Star…just plain lame.

i know….said goodnight but still here online but check this out….aerial photo of their los feliz house….http://www.x17online.com/blog/archive/2006/august/22/article/brad-pitts-rush-to-get-home/is it really true that there are three houses in this compound??? info please….okay… BBL

You’d hurry to a home like that tooIt’s worth noting that Brad’s something of an architecture buff - just to give you some sense of scope, "Nouvel", Shiloh’s middle name, is one of the most important architects of the late 20th century; he’s working with Frank Gehry on a project; he’s shot pix of craftsman homes around Los Angeles and published them in a book. And he did some amazing work on the house he renovated with Aniston and the sold for almost no profit before he’d even had a chance to live in it. This guy’s a real real estate magnate!————————————–so true and he’s hot to boot! sorry a girl can’t help but notice the hotness that is Brad. I know it’s superficial but whatever. :D

Rusty gets a new tatoo for every women relationship he is with. he is supposed to have one in a place where doctors say he can’t have remove lol I think that is for Danny lol. I would be suprise if Angie goes to Canada with him. I don’t realy know why I would be suprise I just will.

You guys must be pathetic to stay up so late on the thread of people you don’t like. # 791 | tolurkers |Night?? its afternoon here.

is it really true that there are three houses in this compound??? info please….okay… BBL # 816 | jjoy *****(This is from a House and Garden article 2001)Behind an unassuming little gate in the Hollywood Hills, Pitt has created a compound of gardens and buildings . He came here in 1994, when he fell in love with a 1911 Arts and Crafts house sitting on a pinched site. He has been buying up adjacent houses, which he renovates for guests or demolishes to open views or make way for new buildings. http://pittcenter.com/articles/2001/houseandgarden.php

Wooow brad look so old…he is 47???? # 10 | MMMM | ————————–He is 42 going 43. Does he look old? Your opinion does not matter. He still has a lot of projects lined up.

b4bitching @ 08/23/2006 at 4:45 am

At this age, Brad is really looking so great and gorgeous. !!!!!!!

Brad Pitt has a garden?(House & Garden Magazine, November 2001)I heard this rejoinder repeatedly during the preparation of this story: Perhaps the reason for it is that Pitt’s on-screen roles-a sexy drifter in Thelma and Louise, a frighteningly cool ********* in Fight Club-don’t immediately square with an abiding love for plants and trees. But offscreen, Pitt is as serious about designing gardens and houses as he is about his career. If he weren’t an actor he says, he might have become a landscape architect.Behind an unassuming little gate in the Hollywood Hills, Pitt has created a compound of gardens and buildings where he lives with his wife, actress Jennifer Aniston. He came here in 1994, when he fell in love with a 1911 Arts and Crafts house sitting on a pinched site. He has been buying up adjacent houses, which he renovates for guests or demolishes to open views or make way for new buildings. He has tied together his unusual property, physically and stylistically, through the garden. The rough seams of his patchwork estate are finessed with paths, large trees, and hedges that move the eye and block unwanted views. But mostly it is the boldly elegant garden landscape-a modern East-meets-West fusion-that is at once coherent enough to unify and eclectic enough to absorb all the different periods and styles of buildings here. The vision of Pitt’s gardening mentor and collaborator, Jay Griffith, has made this possible. Griffith, a talented, highly sought-after landscape designer, and Pitt have an unusually tempestuous and devoted designer-client relationship. They discuss everything at length, often with great emotion. Although Pitt is not out digging in the dirt, he is involved in every aspect of the garden’s design, from its style to the placement of each tree. Both men view the garden as a product of their intense collaboration.Driving along the freeway, tailed by paparazzi, Pitt recalls the day, years ago, when he met Griffith. Pitt, house-hunting, was shown Griffith’s Santa Monica home. It wasn’t right for him, but Pitt was "blown away by garden." Griffith came back to find Pitt spread across his couch. "Jay was rude, cantankerous," Pitt says. "I was really taken with him. He was an artist protective of himself and his work." A few years later, when Pitt found his house, he tracked down Griffith. "We’ve been lovers ever since," he jokes.Pitt credits Griffith with educating him in the ways of nature-"in the way seeds fall and nature propagates itself." Griffith says he is awed by Pitt’s "razor sharp" intelligence, discerning eye, and willingness to try anything. Frequent quarrelling, which Pitt calls "collaborative confrontations," enhances the symbiosis. According to Pitt, they design the garden thusly: he tells Griffith about an idea; Griffith tells him it can’t be done; they argue; eventually, Griffith lights on a solution that far exceeds what Pitt had hoped for at the outset.Pitt originally wanted a Japanese garden. This made some sense, since Japanese landscape and architecture influenced the Craftsman style of his house. Griffith was worried about being "too literal," and guided Pitt toward a landscape that is Asian in feeling but that uses California natives and drought-resistant Mediterranean plants. While the garden is undeniably theatrical, its extravagance is married to simplicity. There is great resistant in the palette, which is almost entirely shades of green, and in the planting, which includes very few flowers and is applied in broad, single-variety brushstrokes.Griffith is masterful at contrasting the muscular form of a huge yucca or heavy slabs of stone with soft, shaggy grasses or shimmering sheets of water. The result is a garden that is aggressively masculine yet quietly Zen-like. Perhaps this seeming paradox stems from the way garden draws on nature itself. Griffith’s landscape is conspicuously designed, but filled out in great naturalistic sweeps, like swaths of fern or a grove of bamboo. For his part, Pitt is awed to live surrounded by what he sweetly describes as "a gallery of God’s best work."
