Paul Bettany and wife Jennifer Connelly had a picnic yesterday afternoon in NYC’s Central Park with their 9-year-old son Kai Dugan (father is photographer David Dugan) and 3-year-old son Stellan Bettany. They were accompanied by the family nanny. Paul and Jennifer, both 35, recently purcahsed a house in Vermont (they currently reside in Brooklyn). More pictures in the gallery!
In movie news… it’s been reported that Paul will sign with New Line Cinema to play the character of Dustfinger in a movie adaptation of the children’s fantasy book Inkheart. Jen’s upcoming film Little Children will premiere at the New York Film Festival in early October. Her other film Reservation, co-starring Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo, begins shooting in Connecticut in October as well.

Why would they need a nanny on their day off? I can understand while they are working. I guess I will never understand the rich and famous.

I’m incredibly worried that someone with my name seems to not agree with tom’s comment about Paul Bettany, considering this Ann adores him so much.He’s gorgeous, Jennifer’s gorgeous. Hell, I dig the nanny, too (and frankly, I don’t think it’s too weird to have the nanny there on their ‘day-off’ considering that especially with young kids, you want to keep constants around). They’re both incredibly talented, good-looking, quite possibly the best celeb couple out there and best celeb parents. It’d be hard to find a pair so devoted to their kids.
I loved Paul Bettany in "Wimbledon." He has such a charming personality! I’m a sucker for British men like Hugh Grant & of course, Bettany. They give me goosebumps when they talk………As for the nanny, I agree with Ann & I wish I had a nanny for my two youngsters. For the first few years, you are basically just watching them constantly, trying to keep them from harming themselves!Gorgeous couple & kids, all around.
