Ouch. #14 is right, we have never met the kids but we still would know their names. Sure, we are obsessed with them, but shouldn’t their grandpa be also? I had a feeling for an instant that he did it on purpose to "make a point", and if he did, I pity the fool, as Mr. T used to say. It just amazes me how much the media is driving this story of the Jolie/Voight rift. Because Brad & Angelina have kept their mouths shut and say nothing, the mags & the entertainment shows stoop to questioning her Dad about things they KNOW he knows nothing about. Just to get a sound bite about Brad & Angelina. On the other hand, I have to agree that Angelina is right to keep her kids away from Jon Voight. If he had any REAL interest in healing the rift, outside of publicity, he would say "no comment" whenever someone points a mic in his face on all those red carpets events he attends. He hasn’t learned a thing!I also take the media to task because according to them, Angelina must be theonly celeb that is on the outs with a parent. What about Sarah Michelle Gellar who cut off her Dad too! He died a few years ago, and they never made up…..Kate Hudson acknowledges Kurt Russell as her father, and even pissed off her real dad by naming her son after Kurt….But Gellar’s dad is dead, and Hudson is not as famous as Jon Voight for the media to sniff around them!I’m sure there are other stars that don’t talk to a parent. In their rush to get ANY MORSEL of info about Brad & Angelina, they are using….USING….Jon Voight…..but he’s not smart enough to realize it…or maybe he realizes that Angelina will NEVER let him back into her life and is using the rift to keep his name out there!

when will JV stop communicating with his daughter through the press; have you learned nothing from the yrs of isolation? angie will never have a relationship with you as long as her mother is alive. She made the effort and you let her down. she would see it as being disloyal to her mother to let you back into her life at this point. I think he should stop trying, for his own dignity. Problem is that he may have too much sentiment and not enough "level-headedness".As to her, this seems to be a situation which reminds one of the saying "charity begins at home." She seems to be so much full of love and compassion for the world, it perhaps is a little strange that she can’t find enough a compassion for her own dad to let him see the grandchildren. Of course, report says she says she’s ignornig him for her mother’s sake. But that seems like taking sides. Besides, how vulnerable the mother could still be at this point of her divorced life. And people do divorce for whatever reasons and they get over pretty quick, it seems to me.

JV is a funny guy.Don’t hate him but I will say that we…none fo us are truly aware of what really went on between Angelina and her father. It was more than just this back and forth bickering. There had to be a climax that the world was not witness. So I’d say cut them both a little slack. Who knows what went on and what it will take to mend that rift. One can only hope that it happens soon for all their sakes. I don’t really think that JV mispronounciation of Zee’s name was intentional, he’s just being himself, he’s always been goofy like that. He can barely remember Angelina and James’ names. He speaks through the media because Angelina WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT speak to him. She has shut the door to that path of her life.
